He was very clear that he saw Legion take the Mind Palace away, but for so weird reason, he just hadn’t considered the event useful or important enough to pay attention to at the ti it was going on.
This made him co to the conclusion that Legion was using a trick that affected cognition, not a skill that affected perception. It was either this, or Legion was more powerful than the god of seers.
However, this conclusion and enlightennt wasn’t going to change anything. He realized the truth too late, and now Legion has acquired the Mind Palace.
He could only lant and say, "If I had known, I would have gotten the blessing of the god of wisdom instead. But it is too late for that. I can only give up or give up my life to block his path."
As he said this, his eyes beca filled with the light of determination. This was because he had made up his mind to give up his life to block Legion.
This is a decision made out of desperation. As soone who still has more than 500 years to live, it will be a big sacrifice to give that up.
But then again, he didn’t think he would have the choice to keep his life or sacrifice it if a god appeared above him in the pathway. So he believed that it was a good decision to sacrifice his life now that he still could.
What’s more, he still had a thod that he could use to get rid of Legion. This thod is an opportunity that he has worked hard for nearly 500 years in order to acquire. If he didn’t use it when he had the chance to, this opportunity would only go to waste.
This opportunity was earned from working for a god. So it was dangerous work.
Gods rarely act for fear of being noticed by their enemies and being attacked. So they use tools like subordinate gods and angels to do their bidding.
His participation in the earlier war between the church of justice and the kingdom of Wessex was an example of the work he did for gods. But what he did for the god of disaster has already been cashed in to receive the blessing of the god of seers.
So if he is to make the god of disaster help him block Legion now, he will have to give up sothing else. Odds are that the god of disaster will ask him to participate in the current war between the kingdom of Wessex and the church of Justice.
He had survived the first war by not participating directly in it. He had instead used brainwashed epic telepaths to help the kingdom of Wessex. But this ti, he might have to act directly against the church of justice.
If he attacks the church of justice right now, he will surely draw the attention and the ire of the god of justice. If the worst happens and he kills a judge, then he will surely die too.
But even likely death wasn’t enough to make him change his mind. He was still more willing to crash and burn than to lie down and wait for death.
So he said to the telepaths waiting for a direction from him, "I will never give up. I am going now to get help. If you have connections to use or useful thods, use them now. Don’t wait until it is too late."
He was asking them this just to be polite. He didn’t really expect any of them to have anything useful or helpful to say.
His true goal was to convince them to join him in helping the kingdom of Wessex and fighting the church of justice. If they agree, it would count as him helping the god of disaster, so he won’t need to risk his life by personally joining the war.
But his plan was derailed when one of the legends said, "I have a connection with a god, and they might be able to help us defeat the second angel. This god is already aware of our situation and is ready to assist us. But they will need a channel for them to interfere in the Mindscape."
The first angel beca wary as soon as he heard this statent. He wanted to escape imdiately, but before running, he still wanted to know which god was targeting the pathway of telepathy.
So he asked, "Who is the god?"
The legend that spoke earlier replied with a smile, "The god of dreams."
Her smile was creepy. It made everyone feel fear.
This fear only increased when the legend said with the sa creepy smile, "Don’t be afraid. I co with good tidings."
The first angel didn’t bother to listen to whatever the legend had to say next after seeing the creepy smile. He left the Mindscape with a thought and disappeared.
The legend chuckled after seeing him leave so quickly. Then he said, "It is no use running now. You’ve t now in both the dream realm and the Mindscape. So there is no way to escape from ."
As the incarnation of the god of dreams, he can say that with confidence. But this confidence only filled everyone present with fear. They all began to escape.
The legend saw this and snorted. Then he swept everyone with his spiritual power. His spiritual power was accompanied by a power that compelled them to sleep.
The power that was compelling them was the Sleep divine ability. This was the first divine ability that godclads on the pathway of dreaming receive. So it is a rank 1 divine ability.
Once the Sleep divine ability was used, all of these people were forced to sleep. But only the rank 7 telepaths were successfully forced to sleep.
The demigods managed to escape because the spiritual power of the legend wasn’t enough to force them quickly enough to sleep. They escaped from the Mindscape, but the legend wasn’t concerned. He focused on the legendary telepaths that had slept.
