The people who sighed in relief after they heard the announcent were happy to live. But not everyone was happy to leave the battlefield.
There were people who were disappointed about leaving. This was either because they thought that it was a pity that they couldn’t use their lives to bring down a legend or because thought that it was a pity that they were too weak to join the subsequent battle.
For Isaac, what he was feeling was disbelief. He couldn’t believe that there was a god supporting the kingdom of Wessex.
He asked the ghostly lady, "Honored one, which God is supporting the kingdom of Wessex?"
She replied, "You don’t need to know. It won’t make much of a difference if you know because you’re too weak. If anything, that kind of knowledge can even harm you. So it is best that you don’t know."
She wasn’t explaining this to only him. She was saying it to everyone else as an explanation for why they should withdraw.
After hearing her explanation, even the lamp bearers willing to sacrifice their lives thought that it was reasonable that they leave now since there was nothing they could do in a battle of the gods.
But Commander Isaac was not satisfied with her explanation. He still wanted to know, but he didn’t ask her because what she said was the truth.
He asked himself, "What will I even do with that information?"
He shook his head and chuckled deprecatingly, "I am just too weak. I have to beco a legend at the very least if that information is to an anything to ."
He made up his mind there and then to advance to the legendary rank as soon as possible. He has already t the mastery requirents for the pathway of knighthood because he led many people into battle many tis.
He had also t the advancent requirent for the pathway of knighthood after he led troops to fight a legend and survived. So all he needs now to beco a legendary knight is the rank 7 divine flesh of the pathway of knighthood.
He is currently too young for attempting the advancent now. He is just 121 years old, so he has ti to wait to prepare his body, mind, and will for the advancent process.
He can spend another 30 years gaining life experiences and preparing himself. But he doesn’t want to wait anymore. He wants to be strong enough to help his God in battle.
The ghostly lady, seeing that everyone had cald down and accepted the order to retreat, began to speak again.
She said, "There is a team coming behind . You should leave to et up with them. They will escort you ho."
Then she said solemnly, "That is all I have to say to you. I still have a duty to complete here. So I wish you farewell. Peace be onto you."
With that said, her figure disappeared in a gust of wind.
Commander Isaac looked up and realized that she was gone. Then he clenched his fists and gritted his teeth in determination.
He said to himself, "I must succeed."
As he was encouraging himself, the illusionist ca over to him and said, "Let’s go ho."
He nodded in agreent. But before he left to park what little he had, he asked her, "Do you know which God is supporting the kingdom of Wessex?"
She said with little confidence, "I am not sure. But I’ve heard suspicious news about how the royal family managed to produce a god of their own."
Her answer surprised him. He asked, "So it isn’t the god of nobles that is supporting them? How can a new god appear without anyone knowing?"
She shook her head and said, "I don’t know for sure if a new god appeared or if the god of nobles is the one supporting the kingdom of Wessex. But I do know that we are weak, and that’s probably why we don’t know for sure if a new god has appeared or not."
"At least, the church already knows sothing, which is why they asked us to withdraw. We might also know if we were strong enough."
He nodded again. Then he went to pack up.
After packing, the camp disbanded. Then they began a journey to the kingdom of justice.
While this was happening, the ghostly lady had gone to find the angel of killing. She didn’t go to et him for a chat.
She is not that desperate for soone to chat with. She went to et him for the sole purpose of ending his life.
She is an angel herself. She is an angel of justice who has been tasked with the duty of preventing the rise of the pathway of killing.
She doesn’t think her task will be easy to accomplish at all. But she is prepared for the difficulty she might face.
On the other side, Legion was trying to et the requirents for the advancent of the pathway of slavery to rank 7. This advancent required them to enslave a legend.
This is clearly an unfairly difficult advancent requirent. Legendary undying godclads needed to absorb the roots of a large energy spring and the core of a spring of life.
Legendary killers needed to kill one million people, legendary telepaths needed to influence another legend’s mind and make them lose control, while legendary knights only needed to survive a large battle against a legend.
The advancent requirents of these pathways can be called tedious, but no one can say that it is as difficult as enslaving a whole legend.
To put things into perspective, if they could enslave a legend at rank 6, then it won’t be difficult for them to complete the advancent requirents to rank 7 of the other pathways while being rank 6.
In fact, with a legend as a slave, it will be very easy to et those other advancent requirents. But legends aren’t easy to enslave at all.
