Even in a normal state, anger can cloud one’s judgent. Anger can make a person temporarily insane and do what they normally wouldn’t do.
But this is just the effect of anger as an internal enemy. One can imagine how bad things can get if he liberates in anger.
He can imagine it easily. And from what he can imagine, it will not be a good thing to deal with the corruption of his soul by his divine flesh while blinded by his anger.
Besides, even if he liberates his divine form, wins the fight, and sohow manages to regain control. He will still have the angel of killing to contend with.
So he didn’t dare liberate his divine form. He could only swallow his anger. This beca increasingly difficult as he watched the people of his city, which are his properties, be killed like chickens.
He beca tempted to take action against Legion. But first, he decided to use spirit sense technique to test Legion’s power.
The spirit sense technique is similar to the power assessnt technique. Both of them are used to estimate power. The main difference is that the power assessnt is used on one’s self while the spirit sense is used on others.
As a legend, he is very experienced with the spirit sense technique. So it was easy for him to use it on Legion.
The technique was successful when he used it. He wasn’t able to tell all the pathways that Legion had due to the resistance from Legion’s existence. But he was able to tell the quality and quantity of the spirituality of Legion.
This quality and quantity of spirituality are the spiritual power and the capacity of spiritual energy that Legion possessed. What he sensed about this made him beco wary of Legion.
He thought to himself, "He already has peak spiritual power for the rank and his spiritual energy is more than normal. He must have more than one pathway for him to have that much spiritual energy."
"And from what I could sense, he probably has two more pathways for a total of three and they are at least at rank 6. Yet he was willing to liberate his divine form so readily. He must be suicidal."
Only Legion possessing more than one pathway would explain why they have more spiritual energy than usual. But the fact that Legion had more than one pathway didn’t scare him much because Legends can’t use the divine abilities of other pathways when they liberate their divine beast form.
The divine beast form will reject the assistance and influence of divine artifacts as well as the divine flesh of other pathways in the body. So he didn’t have to worry about that.
But he had to worry about the extra spiritual energy because this ant that Legion will be able to use their divine beast form for longer which will make them more difficult to defeat.
If Legion is more difficult to defeat, it will require him to stay in the state of liberation for much longer. This will increase his chances of losing control.
He is still sure that he can defeat Legion. But after thinking about it for a while, he still decided to risk his life for it.
His life was simply worth more than that of a million people. So the two legends stood in the air looking at each other. One had a faint smile on their face while the other was glaring with anger and hatred.
When this standoff was going on, the demigod noble finally appeared. She flew into the air so that everyone could get a good look at her.
Then she addressed everyone. "You might have heard rumors that I am alive, and don’t believe it. Here am I in the flesh to prove the validity of those rumors."
"As you can see, I am alive. But I am not well."
She didn’t lie about a single thing. She especially didn’t lie about how she wasn’t well. She looked sickly and near death.
Her skin was pale, and she had lost all her body fat. She had even lost so muscle mass, so she looked like a skeleton pretending to be alive by draping skin over its bones.
Aside from her sickly appearance, there was also the ghostly affliction. There were two apparitions that looked like peacocks attached to her body and struggling to leave it.
The two apparitions were grey and see-through. They were phantom entities, which made it easy to identify them as the projection of her divine form.
Projections of divine forms are a privilege of being a demigod. But these two projections have stopped listening to her. She has lost control of them.
After many years of liberating her divine form and projecting it, the divine flesh that made up her divine form has co into contact with her spirit too many tis and awakened.
The awakened divine flesh gained sentience and realized that she was an imposter. They wanted to leave her body or take over her body to recreate the true noble peacock.
This is a necessary step in becoming an angel. The best solution to this problem is to give her soul to each divine flesh to placate them. The divine flesh will fuse with her soul and create her avatar. Then she will be able to advance to the next rank.
For a perfect solution without any risk of madness, she will need to have nine souls. One of the souls will belong to her and hold her consciousness, while the other eight souls will be taken by the divine flesh from rank 1 to rank 8.
She doesn’t have enough souls to go around, or she would be able to solve this problem easily. However, she has tried her best and sohow placated six divine flesh to stand down.
Of the total eight divine flesh, there remain only two more divine flesh to subdue. These two rebellious divine flesh are the ones trying their hardest to break free from her body.
