There were four rank 6 beasts, and each of them had a red seed, which they planted. So there were four seeds in total.

As soon as the red seeds touched the ground, they began to grow. The seeds produced roots, which spread throughout the surface of the earth and soaked up all of the blood.

The roots also pierced the flesh and began absorbing their blood too. As the roots did this, they grew stronger and multiplied in number. The seed had also grown red vine-like shoots that rose into the air.

If left alone, the seedling will quickly grow into a dangerous nace. The best thing that the humans can do now is destroy them before they grow and mature.

But the seedlings were protected by the rank 6 beasts. These beasts were also pouring energy water onto the seeds to hasten their growth.

The seedlings absorbed everything that ca their way, be it blood, corpses, or energy water. So in less than a minute of being planted, they had reached a height of 10 ters and had beco capable of acquiring food on their own.

Since the vine plant was carnivorous, the only way it knew to acquire food was to kill. And since there were a lot of things around for it to kill, it was unlikely that it would starve.

The vine plant was no tree. It was just one thick vine with many smaller vines attached to it. But those small vines beco deadly when they begin to glow a red light capable of cutting nearly anything.

The vine plant was already red. But now that it was glowing a red light, it beca more nacing. But more than that, it beca a nightmare to everyone around it.

Many have heard of the phrase of shearing through wheat with ease. This was what ca to mind because the vine plant was now shearing through everyone with ease.

The plants cut down allies and enemies alike. A single touch and contact with a human, beast, armor, or building was enough for it to cut them in two and drain them into a husk.

Epic godclads could only survive a little longer after they made contact with one of the bloody limbs of the vine plant. But their ultimate end was death.

If anyone had seen the sight, they would think a bunch of mortals were being killed by the vine plant because of how helpless everyone was to it.

If not for their extraordinary speed with which they escaped for their lives, even Legion might be fooled into thinking they were all mortals because everyone was dying like mortals.

Unfortunately, no one could escape no matter how fast they were. Everyone in the vicinity of the vine plant died in a painful, but swift manner. The only ones they didn’t attack were the rank 6 beasts who planted them. Everyone else was cut into pieces and devoured.

As Legion watched this, they chuckled and said, "What a killer move!"

That was a pun because the vine plants were killers. What they were using now was the Sever divine ability. That was the trademark ability of killers and one of the reasons they were so feared.

Another divine ability that the vine plants have used is Bloodthirsty. They weren’t sure it was the Bloodthirsty divine ability when they saw the plant eat so many people and drink so much blood, but they beca sure after seeing the Sever divine ability being executed.

Legion-1 asked jokingly, "Are those even real limbs or manifestations of the Blood Limbs divine ability?"

He was joking because he was amused, but he was asking about sothing serious. They couldn’t be sure if the vine plant was a plant at all or simply the manifestation of the divine abilities of the pathway of killing.

Legion-4 said, "Since the plant is already using the Bloodthirsty divine ability, it makes sense that it can use the Blood Limbs divine ability."

Legion-1 shook his hand and said, "I know that. What I ant was, is the plant real or being controlled by soone else? If it is the latter, who is the controller?"

This question got them thinking. They were mostly thinking about a specific legend about the forest nearby.

There are rumors that the forest close to Reinfield City is the territory of a terrifying plant. Not much is known about the plant, such as its pathway, but the plant is said to be at the legendary level.

This terrifying legendary plant is said to be the reason why the nobles don’t just destroy the forest and put an end to the beast tide once and for all.

Legion isn’t sure about the existence of the legendary plant, but they are sure that there had to be a reason why the nobles haven’t attacked and taken down the forest yet.

Not only will destroying the forest put an end to the beasts tides, but the energy spring that supports the forest can be used to establish another city on par with Reinfield City.

So there are a lot of benefits to uprooting the forest. But the nobles haven’t done it. It is either that they can’t or they are gaining greater benefits by not destroying the forest.

They don’t think it is the latter. Even if it is, and the nobles are benefiting from the frequent invasion and destruction of their city, it still doesn’t explain why the vault of gold hasn’t attacked the forest to take over the energy spring there.

The people of the vault of gold are very greedy. So are the nobles and rchants. If the nobles and rchants that own Reinfield haven’t done sothing to get rid of a source of trouble that is causing them losses, then the most likely answer is that it is because they can’t.

Now that Legion is seeing these terrifying vine plants with their eyes, they can’t help but entertain the possibility that this plant, or at least its original body, is why the forest hasn’t been destroyed yet.
