It is rare for epic godclads to have reached 50% mastery in a divine ability. But every legend has a 50% mastery in their divine abilities. So the best way for them to gain mastery is to also liberate themselves often.

This tricky problem ans that any legend that avoids their liberated state will experience a frustrating reduction in the speed at which they gain mastery. This presents them with the choice of either risking losing control or being weak as a legend forever.

But Legion doesn’t have any of these problems. They are not plagued by the paradox of power. They don’t have to be afraid of their liberated state and will be able to use it whenever they want.

They also don’t have any boundary blocking their way to mastery, a divine ability beyond 50%. They have experienced this after they reached 50% in their ntal Probe divine ability.

The speed at which they gained mastery of the ntal Probe divine ability slowed down after they got more than 50%. But it didn’t stop like other epic godclad experiences.

They thought that this might have been a fluke due to the fact that they gained their mastery of the ntal Probe divine ability from their future. They also suspected that the exemption was because of their innate ability. But they weren’t sure then.

However, they are sure now because they still didn’t experience a stop to their increase in mastery after they reached 50% mastery in the Mark of Bondage divine ability, the Sever divine ability, and the Aegis Shield divine ability.

These three rank 1 divine abilities are still progressing steadily. They can only attribute this to the influence of their innate ability.

This ans that while other epic godclads who manage to reach 50% mastery in a divine ability have to stop and wait until they beco legends before they can continue to gain mastery in that divine ability, they can continue to train without limit. This makes training very precious for them.

Before, training was hard work that they had to do to gain power. But after learning that other godclads can’t even train after reaching a stage, they realized that training is a privilege and a valuable one at that.

Because of this, they cherish training even more. The fact that mastery of divine abilities will also give them extra power when they beco legends also gave them a lot of motivation to train.

Now training isn’t just about becoming more skillful in using divine abilities. And gaining mastery isn’t only about using less spiritual energy when activating divine abilities or making divine abilities last longer.

Mastery will beco a significant portion of their power as legends, so it has beco more valuable. Even if they don’t know how valuable it has beco, all they need to get an inkling about the value of mastery is to see the cost that people who gain mastery through shortcuts pay for it.

By shortcuts, they are referring to the two most viable options in the form of gaining mastery of divine abilities through the assimilation of mory fragnts or the excursion of dreams.

There are many other options, which frankly lead to disastrous effects and can only be called suicidal actions. One of those options is to allow a god to possess one’s body and use them as a vessel.

Legion cannot think of a better way to describe letting a god possess them other than saying it is suicidal. They would rather lose control and mutate than let a god possess them. At least that way, they will go out on their terms and not be subject to the will of another.

But even with the two reasonable options with relatively manageable costs, the price to pay for mastery can still beco too expensive and too much to pay. They believe that anyone that is smart should avoid assimilating mory fragnts or living through the dreams of another person.

What reinforced their belief is that they are not the only ones who believe this. Even the legendary telepaths who create the mory fragnts themselves don’t use it. That has to say a lot about the reliability of the mory fragnts that they produce.

But Legion also has to consider that telepaths are unwilling to use mory fragnts to gain mastery because they have another viable option. This option is to use the Mindscape to anchor their minds while they undergo liberation.

Legendary telepaths anchor their minds to the Mindscape by creating a lot of virtual divine flesh and uploading their minds to it so that they won’t lose control when they liberate their bodies.

This is why legendary telepaths like the Mindscape so much and were very happy to create virtual divine flesh. Creating virtual divine flesh to gain control of the Mindscape is sothing they don’t really care about.

As long as they are able to use the Mindscape to maintain their sanity now, they don’t mind creating more divine flesh. They believe that this is a better option, so they will continue to do it no matter how suspicious they are of the origin of the Mindscape.

This thod is not certain to keep them safe, but it works most of the ti. And despite the fact that they still need to work hard in their liberated forms by training to gain mastery, this option is still better than polluting their minds with the mories of another person.

All of these things, both from the people desperate enough to assimilate mory fragnts and legendary telepaths willing to create virtual divine flesh for sothing that they might not control, all inform Legion of the value of their ability to train without limit and not be at risk of losing control.

So if there is nothing more important for them to do, they will be busy training. They train as if it is the end of the world. Not even the incoming beast tide was enough for them to stop training.
