Usually, these legendary telepaths would ask for a few mind fragnts in exchange for the food they sold. As long as they got more mind fragnts than what it cost them to make the food, they would profit.

It was a classic case of profit = revenue - cost. Legion was hoping to take advantage of this business practice to get a lot of the bait that they needed without troubling themselves too much.

The problem was that the legendary telepaths only sold a few mory fragnts as food to their custors, and they would get suspicious when a custor was asking for a large amount of the food without eating it.

Legion could have pretended that they were eating the food while secretly accumulating what they needed for bait over a period of weeks and even months. But they didn’t want to waste ti on acquiring food when they still had to waste a lot of ti waiting for prey to take the bait.

So they went ahead to ask for a lot of mory fragnts at once. This action clued the legendary telepath into the fact that they needed the mory fragnts for sothing out of the ordinary.

The legendary telepath they first asked didn’t know what they were going to do with the mory fragnt. But that didn’t stop him from asking for 200 good coins for each food.

200 gold coins is the price of a rank 1 divine flesh. This legendary telepath had essentially raised the price by 100 tis. It was clear that he was trying to fleece them.

Legion had the money and could afford the exorbitant price, but they were not going to be played as fools. So they left the legendary telepath to negotiate with others.

The other legendary telepaths were either reasonable or unreasonable. Many of them guessed that they were buying the food to use as bait for Psychic Shriekers because many of them had to fulfill the rank 6 advancent requirent that way.

So so of them decided to be reasonable and asked for 20 gold coins for each of their food. But so others decided to take advantage of them. Legion didn’t think it was possible, but so even managed to raise the price beyond 200 gold coins.

This made Legion-1 swear, "If we manage to beco the god of this pathway, all of these legendary telepaths will be made to wish for death."

Legion-8 sighed and said, "Let’s just give them what they want for now. We can get it back from them in the future with interest, and if we lack money now, we can always liberate so more from the people in Reinfield City."

They didn’t want to waste their ti negotiating, so they were inclined to settle for the 20 gold coins per food item deal. This was 10 tis more than normal, but they weren’t going to be losing anything in the long run.

Once they grow stronger, they will be able to get back what they paid with interest. But before they succumb to this exploitation, they want to ask every legendary telepath in Mindscape for their offer.

It ca to them as a surprise when they encountered a legendary telepath who was willing to accept the usual amount of mid fragnts for his food regardless of how much they would be ordering from her.

She said, "Since you don’t need the mory fragnts to contain any useful information, I am already profiting imnsely from this."

She was being perfectly reasonable. All she asked was for two mind fragnts for each piece of mory fragnts. Since it cost her one mind fragnt to create a mory fragnt, she was making a profit of 100%.

This profit was enough for her, unlike others who wanted a profit of 10,000% and more. Legion was very happy to et her, and they accepted the deal imdiately.

They had a lot of mind fragnts that they had harvested from the slaves they experinted on these past few months. So they didn’t need to drop a di to get the bait that they needed.

Legion left the Mindscape excitedly and began setting up the fishing rod. As they did, Legion-2 said to them, "What a nice lady."

Legion-5 agreed and said, "It would be a pity when we kill her."

She was good to them, but that doesn’t exempt her from the fate of being killed when Legion needs to kill people for power. Good or bad, Legion doesn’t discriminate. They will kill anyone and everyone for power.

But despite how ruthless they are, they will still admire the personality of people who deserve it while they kill those people. It is the least that Legion can do.

They thought of this and joked about it as they set up the fishing rod for the fishing. They got a brazier and filled it with fire stones.

Next they soaked the fire stones with energy water. This caused them to light up and begin to burn. They produced a pale yellow fla within the brazier which they threw the mory fragnts into.

As soon as the mory fragnts touched the yellow fla, they began to lt. The speed at which they lted was slow and very difficult to notice with the eye. But they could tell that the mory fragnts were burning because the color of the fla changed.

The color of the fla changed from yellow to blue. This change was caused by the reaction between the fla and the mory fragnts.

Apart from the reduction of size after the mory fragnts were thrown into the fla, the mory fragnts also produced a toxic gas as they were burned.

This toxic gas is odorless and colorless. But anyone who inhales it will begin to have a headache. This was a sign that the attractiveness of the mory fragnts was being spread.

The sll of the burning mory fragnts is unpleasant to humans, but it is highly attractive to Psychic Shriekers. So with this done, they attached the brazier to the hook of the fishing rod.
