They gained the advantage of numbers when they ford their coalition, but none of them were willing to lose what they had in order to bring down the Golden Hamr gang.
They weren’t willing to risk their territories at all. This was mostly because their position as gang leaders was a job to them. It also wasn’t a job that they wanted to lose.
So the outer city returned to a peaceful state. It beca quiet and peaceful. Only the fight between the judges and nobles threatened to break that peace.
Back in Ivory Town, things were getting worse and worse. Many judges had died, and even more were wounded. This is because they have been fighting for their lives for quite a while.
The job of the judges in the town was to investigate the death of Captain Sheckel and her subordinates, find those who were responsible for it, capture the responsible party, and find the bloody heart that was stolen.
In essence, the most difficult thing they expected to deal with was Bushwick. But they have been subject to attacks from unexpected enemies recently. It all started with the fourth escape of Bushwick and the pursuit to recapture him by the judges.
Commander Isaac led the pursuit, so capturing Bushwick should have been easy. Unfortunately, so nobles had sent a small army to rescue Bushwick. The judges had clashed with this reinforcent, which made matters more difficult than expected.
Despite the unexpected interference, Commander Isaac was not to be stopped. What he had feared about Bushwick was about to happen, so he was unwilling to give up on killing Bushwick.
Instead of giving the order to retreat when Bushwick’s reinforcents were spotted. He gave the order to charge and fight. Unfortunately for the reinforcent, they couldn’t stop Commander Isaac. This led to the death of both Bushwick and his reinforcent.
Ten people were sent to rescue Bushwick. The strongest among them was a rank 4 epic being. There were three epic beings in this rescue team, but they were still woefully unprepared to deal with a rank 6 godclad with two epic pathways.
This lack of preparation was because they didn’t know that there was a person like Commander Isaac in Ivory Town. The information they had was still about the first team that was sent to investigate Ivory Town and capture Bushwick.
So these ten people thought that they were better than Bushwick and thought they could do better than him. They thought that they could defeat the judges, so they didn’t run away in fear when Commander Isaac led a charge against them.
This led to the death of all ten of them and Bushwick. This improved Commander Isaac’s mood and made the other judges happy. But their joy didn’t last long because they had to kill soone troubleso within the group of ten.
The troubleso person they killed was a rank 3 female godclad. When she discovered that she was in danger, she didn’t beg for rcy. Instead, she began threatening them about the consequences of killing her.
She had said, "I am Milicent of the House Vergis. Do you know who my father is? If you kill , my father will make you regret it. You will wish that you were dead."
Commander Isaac was already in a foul mood, so there was no way he was going to let her go. The other judges also thought nothing of her threat. So no one considered sparing her life.
Threatening the people capable of killing her was probably a bad idea. But she was right about sothing, though. Her father wasn’t going to let them get away with killing his daughter.
So a few days after that joyous event, an army attacked Ivory Town. This army was led by the father of Milicent of the House of Vergis.
