The Golden Hamr gang was recruiting manpower. This automatically ans that they are growing stronger. This much is certain. What isn’t certain is what the gang intends to do with the extra strength that they are gaining.
The extra strength can be used for defense. Many people were hoping this is the case. But very few people could relax because the extra strength could also be used to attack.
In order to be sure, many people went to et the noble supporting the Golden Hamr gang. They went to et Jack in order to ask him about the plans of the Golden Hamr gang.
Unfortunately for them, Jack didn’t know their plans. The only thing he could do was co over to et Golden Hamr and ask for their plans.
Golden Hamr told Jack that they were recruiting in order to be able to better manage their territory and for nothing else. Jack told the people hounding him, but this only barely appeased them.
Many people said to Jack, "You better not repeat what Celine did, or you will be severely punished. In fact, Celine was killed because she overstepped her bounds. I advise you not to follow in her footsteps."
Jack was aggrieved that everyone thought that he and his gang were up to no good. But no matter how bad he felt about being falsely accused, he could only try to appease them because many people had already begun pressuring him financially.
Even Celine couldn’t bear the financial pressure despite having such a rich and powerful family. Jack could only barely match 20% of Celine’s financial resources, so there was no way he could bear the pressure.
Jack had to make people think that he was harmless. But that was very difficult to achieve because of the power of his gang.
The Golden Hamr gang had grown to the level that they didn’t need to sneak attacks and invade secretly in order to gain more territories. In fact, they were so strong that they could sweep through the outer city. So any way they look at it, the Golden Hamr gang is not harmless.
The nobles don’t want to see a single gang gain control of the outer city, as that will grant that gang too much power and also interfere in their ga. Both the adult and young nobles were of one accord in this matter, albeit for different reasons.
The other gangs also don’t want to lose their jobs. So the power and potential of the Golden Hamr gang thus made them officially beco public enemy number 1. Everyone began working together to restrict them.
For now they did nothing directly to the Golden Hamr gang. But if the Golden Hamr gang tries to expand legitimately or illegitimately, they would be t with a fierce resistance.
If the Golden Hamr gang invades their neighbors secretly, they will be destroyed by everyone, including the old neighbors. And if the Golden Hamr gang tries to expand openly and legitimately, every gang and noble will work together to empower their enemy.
For example, the Light Temple gang isn’t willing to fight them in order to expand. But that doesn’t an that they are willing to give up their current territory. So a fierce fight will occur if the Golden Hamr gang tries to bully the Light Temple gang.
This hasn’t happened yet because the Golden Hamr gang hasn’t attacked anyone yet. In the anti, everyone turned their angry gaze onto Jack and began pressuring him.
Back then, Celine was being pressured by just three people. But Jack was being pressured now by everyone. If he so much as gave them a hint that he was up to no good, he would be taught a good lesson in restraint.
The Black and White gang didn’t want to wait for the Golden Hamr gang to make a move before trying to squash them. Black Axe felt that waiting for the Golden Hamr gang to act first might be a bad idea. So he began executing his plan.
His plan was to turn the leaders of the Golden Hamr gang against each other. For that, he had two options in mind for who to contact and turn against the rest.
The first option on his mind was the traveler in the group. The traveler was one of the original leaders of the gang and also the smart one who made most of the plans for the gang.
Black Axe thought that the traveler might be disgruntled that Golden Hamr is the face of the gang and is considered the true leader of the gang. He thought that he could use this to create a gap in the leadership of the Golden Hamr gang.
But he didn’t go with the idea because there was a chance that what was going on with the gang was the plan of the traveler. After all, the traveler is the thinker.
Weak godclads might not know it, but epic beings like him who had interacted with the three leaders of the Golden Hamr gang know that the traveler is the one that really calls the shots.
If this is still the case and the traveler is the mastermind behind the current situation of the Golden Hamr gang, then Black Axe would be making a fool of himself by approaching the traveler.
Besides this, Black Axe also knew that Golden Hamr, the knight, and the traveler were friends. So even if the traveler is not the mastermind and is disgruntled with the gang, their friendship can make his plan fail.
So Black Axe decided to try the second option. The second option was to pick one of the new leaders of the gang. This had a better chance of success because the new leaders shouldn’t have any friendship with the other leaders.
He investigated the past of each of them and eventually settled for the thief. He picked the thief because he is the most greedy one out of all of the five new leaders.
