Even if they are crushed to paste by a mill, they will still be able to heal themselves back to full health with the Regeneration divine ability. So this divine ability has increased their survivability by a large proportion and filled them with confidence.
They now have more confidence about reaching their ultimate goal of being able to survive till they beco an Absolute and being able to survive an encounter with ANNIHILATION in particular.
But they didn’t let their confidence get to their head. After all, they saw how the previous rank 5 undying godclad died.
What’s more, it was their plan to use a curse to kill the undying godclad. So they promised themselves to always rely on their shields before using their new Regeneration divine ability.
Since they have a lot of energy, they doubt that it will be possible to put them in a situation where they will remove their Aegis Shield in order to conserve energy. They can afford to splurge on spiritual energy, especially when it is their life that is at stake.
Apart from Regeneration from the pathway of undying, they also gained the Sensory Hijack divine ability from the pathway of the telepath and the Whip divine ability from the pathway of slavery.
The Sensory Hijack divine ability is a ntal ability that looks similar to the divine abilities of the pathway of the illusionists because it can help telepaths make targets perceive the world in a different way.
Unlike the illusion-based divine abilities of the pathway of illusionists, the Sensory Hijack divine ability doesn’t work on the eyes directly. It instead works on the mind by blocking out information from the senses or modifying that information to produce false sensory information.
Ultimately, Sensory Hijack affects what soone sees. But it also affects what a target feels. This is what sets it apart from the divine abilities of illusionists and what, in Legion’s opinion, makes it better.
Together with Hypnotize and Sensory Hijack, telepaths can make a target feel pain when they should feel pleasure or feel pleasure when they should feel pain. They can even make a target feel cold when they put their hand into fire.
Legion was looking forward to this ability, as it will help their slaves overco temptation and the pain of assimilating divine flesh. They were also looking forward to the advancent of their Mark of Bondage divine ability to the next milestone.
Currently, their Mark of Bondage divine ability is at 47% mastery. They only made 6% progress in it in two months, which is slow.
This slow progress is because it is becoming more and more difficult to achieve progress in the mastery of their divine abilities since they are already far along in it. But they are sure that they will make a lot of progress and reach 50% mastery thanks to the upcoming project that they want to perform on their slaves.
All in all, it has been nine months since they beca godclads. It can be said that their progress is blindingly fast. Even they will admit to that despite being extrely humble.
But they are not sure it is fast enough for them to beco Absolutes before ANNIHILATION reaches them from the future. So they can’t relax and have to keep growing stronger faster and faster.
After advancing all of their pathways to rank 5, the next thing for them to do is to advance their pathways to rank 6. So they began seeking ways to complete the advancent requirents of their four pathways.
For the pathway of killing, all they need to do is drink a lot of blood. The blood has to co from fresh kills.
The more blood they drink, the better. And the more powerful the source of blood is, the better.
For the pathway of undying, they have to eat travelers. They can’t just eat any sort of travelers either. Only the flesh of epic travelers will count towards the fulfillnt of their advancent requirent.
These two advancent requirents aren’t strange or out of place. They are required because of the type of divine abilities that they will awaken at rank 6.
The rank 6 divine ability of the pathway of killing is Bloodthirsty. So it isn’t strange that they need to drink a lot of blood in order to advance to rank 6.
The rank 6 divine ability for the pathway of undying is Danger Sense. After knowing this, they only found it strange that they had to eat the flesh of travelers.
It is said that people are what they eat. Travelers know how to avoid danger. This ability cos from their rank 2 divine ability. When they beco epic godclads, this rank 2 divine ability fuses with their bodies.
So if undying godclads are to gain the ability of danger sense, it makes so sense that they have to eat the flesh of epic travelers.
The advancent requirent for the rank 6 pathway of undying might make sense, but it isn’t going to be easy. After all, travelers are fast and can sense danger.
There is no way travelers are going to stand still when soone wants to eat them. And once they start running, it is going to be even more difficult to catch them. Herein lies the difficulty.
Of course this is just the difficulty that must be overcod if a rank 5 undying wants to fulfill the advancent requirent to rank 6. There is still the difficulty of finding the rank 6 divine flesh, affording it, and actually assimilating it without dying.
Out of all of these difficulties, only the advancent requirent poses any sort of challenge to Legion. Even then, they still have a traveler on hand who they could eat right now to et their needs.
From what they’ve read, the flesh of a single traveler is unlikely to et all of the advancent requirents for rank 6 undying. So they will need to find another epic traveler to eat. This is where the main difficulty in fulfilling this advancent requirent lies for them.
