Permission was given to use the high-grade divine artifact of the pathway of the telepath. It was then used on so of the gang mbers of the Golden Hamr gang and other people loosely related to the two main suspects.
Unfortunately, nothing incriminating was found. What’s more, the two main suspects refused to let their mories be examined and are even going so far as to prevent the artifact from being used on people close to them.
The main issue Celine’s brothers are using to block the investigation is the matter of privacy. They don’t want their secrets to be exposed in the na of an investigation.
The second issue is ntal injury. Because the mory Read divine ability present within the divine artifact is not controlled directly by a living legendary godclad, there could be error during its use, which can damage the minds of those whose minds are being read.
The damage caused by using the divine artifact on the minds of others can be as minimal as slight mory loss and could be as bad as total ntal collapse. Celine’s brothers don’t want to subject themselves to the risk and don’t want their close servants to spill their secrets either, so they refused to comply.
Their reasons were valid, which caused the investigation to stall. The Magi, among the three investigators, suggested using a living legendary telepath to perform the mory reading but was rejected.
It is true that a living legend using the divine ability can minimize ntal damage to zero, but it is also true that a living legendary telepath can intentionally cripple the mind or even edit it.
So the matter of safety won’t be solved easily by using a living godclad. Besides the unresolved matter of safety, there is also the matter of secrecy.
The divine artifact is being used by a mber of their family, yet Celine’s brothers don’t want their secrets to be known by that mber of the family. So there is no way they are going to allow a powerful outsider of the family to read their minds and learn their secrets.
The divine artifact couldn’t be used on Celine’s two brothers, so the investigation stalled. The investigators wanted to find a way out of the slump they were in, so they tried to read the minds of the leaders of the Golden Hamr gang.
But Golden Hamr and the others also refused to subject their mories to being read. Not only did they refuse the investigation, they also acquired mind shields to protect their minds.
With nowhere to go, the investigators had to call upon the leader of the family to intervene in the investigation. Unfortunately, the taciturn man refused to force anyone to have their minds searched or even put any end to the investigation.
The investigation team was directly ordered to give. This verdict caused so people to sigh in relief, but it also angered many people.
One of the people that was angered by the lack of ending to the investigation was Celine’s mother. She marched up to her husband to give him a talking to.
The head of the family was in his study going over so docunts. She barged into his study without knocking and scread hysterically at him, saying, "What the hell are you doing? Why did you stop the investigation? Make them find who killed my girl."
"Even if they are powerful and they didn’t do it, they are just epic beings, and they are hired thugs. Can they compare to the value of my girl’s life? It is their grace for their lives to be sacrificed to help our family."
"But what if they did do it? What if they killed my girl? Are you just going to let them go just like that? Let’s force them."
She was referring to the leaders of the Golden Hamr gang. She wants her husband to force them to have their minds read in order to prove their innocence.
Only when their innocence has been proven beyond every reasonable doubt will she be satisfied. But her husband is not willing to use force, which made her dissatisfied.
She scread for a long while, but that’s all she did. She didn’t touch any of his things or beco violent. She limited her actions to those things even though he didn’t look like he was paying attention to her because she knew that she couldn’t go too far.
The head of the family had looked up briefly when she barged into his study suddenly. Then he had returned to checking the docunts.
He had his eyes focused on the docunts before him while she scread. He didn’t say anything to interrupt her. It was after she ran out of breath and stopped that he decided to speak for himself.
Even so, he didn’t look up at her. He didn’t stop working as he spoke, "I have my reasons for stopping the investigation even though I know that the Golden Hamr gang is suspicious."
"Their previous leaders suddenly advanced to rank 4. Then a week later, they recruited many rank 3 godclads, so of whom advanced a week later."
"So they have gained many rank 4 leaders in a short amount of ti, and all of these epic beings are working together for the anti. That is extraordinary in itself."
"It is clear that the Golden Hamr gang is being supported by soone, and that person is most likely an epic telepath. I don’t know what their goal is, but I understand that Celine might be dispensable towards the achievent of this goal."
"To top things off, it has been determined that Celine’s mind shield was broken before she died. So it is clear that whoever attacked her also attacked her mind."
"This doesn’t an that the telepath supporting the Golden Hamr gang was the one who attacked her. Maybe a divine artifact was used to attack her. Anything is possible..."
She interrupted him, "I don’t care. Just force them to open their minds."
