The frustration of the future is bleeding into the past to make him frustrated. But it is only a shallow frustration because his current situation is different from his future.
Unlike his future selves, he has other solutions other than taking over a human settlent or braving the dangers of the wilds and fighting a beast for control of the spirit spring while surrounded by other beasts.
In fact, he has two more feasible solutions that won't endanger his life. The first solution is to steal energy waters from the lamp bearers. The second one is to pay people to bring him energy water from spirit springs in the wild.
He has money so he can pay other godclad to brave the danger of the wilds for him. It will be very expensive to do so. But he is currently swimming in wealth and will be swimming in more wealth soon.
As for stealing from the lamp bearers, that will also be easy for him to do. All he needs to do is get himself assigned to the distribution and protection of energy waters. Then he can skim so energy water for himself.

He chuckled and said, "I'll try."
He couldn't promise that he wouldn't listen to voices in his head because the source of those voices is part of him.
The man changed the subject into sothing more pleasant. He pointed at the pieces of tal on the ground and said, "That's very strong. You're on the path of killing, right? I heard that it was strong, but I didn't think it was that strong."
Legion asked, "Have you never seen a killer?"
The man shook his head. "I haven't. Besides, if I see one, I will run away."
Legion smirked and said, "If you see one, you might not be able to run away. It all depends on what path you're on."
The man smiled and said smugly, "No matter how powerful a killer is, they won't be able to catch because I am a traveler."
Legion nodded in agreent and said, "No wonder they chose you to monitor . If I go crazy, you will be able to escape easily and call for help."
The man chuckled. "As long as you don't go crazy, everything will be fine. I certainly hope you don't go crazy."
Legion said, "I hope so too."
But inwardly he thought to himself, "I think I've decided on what our third pathway should be. It should be the pathway of the traveling."
The other consciousnesses agreed with him because the pathway of traveling is a pathway that can mitigate the power of killers to a certain extent.
The godclads on the pathway of traveling are the fastest godclads. When it cos to speed, no one can beat them. With the fastest speed, it is very easy for them to avoid danger.
