But Sever doesn't last long at all. It activates and performs its effect instantly.
However, in exchange for its high cost, the skill is very powerful. All he needs to kill soone is to touch them.

Activating the skill is not difficult. Any fool with spiritual energy can activate it. But what makes the difference is in the control of the skill.

The bad news is that practicing needs spiritual energy. And in the case where the cost of using a skill is so high, he will need a lot of spiritual energy.
A normal person will have 10 units of spirituality and can regenerate one unit of spirituality every hour. Such a person will be able to produce 24 units of energy every day, so they will be able to practice the skill only 6 tis.
That is if they practice nonstop every day. If they don't, they won't be able to practice the skill so much. But if they practice nonstop throughout the day, they will beco fatigued, which will make it easy for the divine flesh to take over their body.
Being ntally tired for long periods of ti ans divine flesh doesn't need the host to fall into temptation. The divine flesh can just forcefully take over their existence if they are too weak to resist it.
He doesn't have that problem. Even if he is so tired that he can't think straight for years, the divine flesh won't try to take over his existence. He is confident of that because he was able to survive the Authority of the Path of the Undying even though he couldn't walk.
But the problem of lacking spiritual energy is still there. He has a maximum of 40 units of spiritual energy. He used one unit each ti he activated the power assessnt technique. Then he used 4 units when he activated the Sever skill.
In total, he has spent 6 units of spiritual energy, which leaves him with 34 units left. With those 34 units, he can still practice the Sever skill 8 tis with a leftover of 2 units of spiritual energy.
After that, he will have to rely on his regeneration. Since he regenerates 4 units of spiritual energy per hour, he can practice the skill 24 tis in 24 hours.
24 tis in a day is a lot of tis. With this, he is sure to gain initial control of the skill within a maximum of a month. If given more ti, he will surely be able to master the skill completely in one year.
