Apparently, the god of the soul didn't know much about ABSOLUTES because she wasn't one, had never seen one before, and had never spoken to one. So all the things they had Jason's clone say to them were just guesses or hearsay.
It didn't an that the information was wrong. It was just unreliable as the source of the information cannot be certain of it.
If there there are sothings that are reliable from her mories, they are the things she heard the Lord of Madesay.
One of those things is that ABSOLUTES don't appear to be created and the potential to beco an ABSOLUTE cannot be engineered.
If anyone can beco an ABSOLUTE, they would already be an ABSOLUTE as long as another ABSOLUTE or the Supre doesn't interfere with them.
So if anyone has the potential and there is nothing blocking their path to becoming an ABSOLUTE, they would have beco one the mont they created their Supre law.
According to her mories, the lord of madness had said that at the very least, any entity with the potential to beco an ABSOLUTE would have one more origin channel than what is possible.
The Lord of Madness knew a lot about ABSOLUTES and how they were created because he was a Supre who could monitor the whole ti stream.
The Lord of Madness used his expertise in identifying potential ABSOLUTES and stopping the realization of their potential. It was because of him that no ABSOLUTE or other Limitless existences appeared after he beca Supre.
So his words are more reliable than the things the god of soul and her brother cooked up to tell Legion.
What the Lord of Madness had said ant that a potential ABSOLUTE should have one more aspect than possible in their Supre Law. This is because sowhere in their future, they would beco an Absolute, which will cause their existence to open up another channel to the origin just like the previous 11 ABSOLUTES did.
While the future is difficult to tell and still uncertain, it is certain that if an ABSOLUTE has one more aspect in their future, they will have one more aspect in their present and past because they are existences that transcend ti and history.
Others don't know this because their perception of ti is limited to present ti, and ti only flows in one direction for them. Only other ABSOLUTES and the Supre can tell that history has been changed.
So what Jason told them about ABSOLUTES was unreliable. There was no way for him to know or for the god of soul and wisdom to know.
It also ans that if Legion could have beco an ABSOLUTE, they should have had 13 aspects each, not 12, when they created their Supre law. Last they counted, they had twelve aspects, not 13.
Their aspects are Will, Matter, Energy, Consciousness, Knowledge, Infection, Unity, Entropy, Evolution, Probability, Space, and Ti. That's 12, not 13.
They are certain of that because they can count. So they don't have the potential to beco Absolutes.
This made the clones lant.
Legion-2 said, "I knew that guy wasn't reliable. We don't have the potential to beco ABSOLUTES, so fighting who must not be nad will only lead to our doom."
Legion-4 tried to encourage everyone by saying, "Things are not so hopeless. According to what the Lord of Madness said, even if we have the potential to beco ABSOLUTES, we shouldn't be able to know because we aren't ABSOLUTES or Supre."
Legion-6 scoffed and asked, "Isn't that for outsiders? How can we not know that we have one more aspect than normal?"
This question stumped Legion-4 and whatever hope he managed to create in their hearts.
Legion-8 shook his head. "It doesn't matter what the Lord of Madness or his scheming children say. What matters is that we will never give up."
Legion-10 sighed and said, "I'm not sure that is a good thing right now."
The other clones also sighed because this is one of two things that they can be certain of. One of them is that they never give up. The second is that that might not be a good thing right now.
After getting the mories from the god of soul, they knew what kind of danger they were in and just how bad their situation is.
They learned that they were dood and that there were only two options for them after coming into contact with ANNIHILATION. Those options are that they either die or beco an ABSOLUTE themselves.
This cannot be changed. Whatever help they get now can only be temporary. Not even the Transcendence Boat can save them now.
The solution to their problems has to co from within them. As long as they have made contact with ANNIHILATION, those two options are the only options for them.
But there is a silver lining, which is that they have already thought of a way to at least delay the inevitable. Unfortunately, it is a solution that is at odds with their nature.
Legion-3 said, "This will be very difficult."
Legion-5 argued, "But it is better than dying forever and being annihilated."
Legion-1 shook his head and laughed. He said, "The ABSOLUTE is not our greatest enemy now. We are. We are willing to do everything for perfection except to die."
The other clones agreed with this. They have already found the solution, but it is sothing no clone of Legion will do. They would rather fight to the death than do it.
As long as they have made contact with ANNIHILATION, whether in the past, present, or future, they will die. So the solution to the problem plaguing them is not to make contact with ANNIHILATION.
It is too late to not make contact with ANNIHILATION in the future because it has already happened. But if they cut off the part of themselves that made that contact with ANNIHILATION, then they will solve their problem.
