Behind him, Flare and Mira were arguing again.
"Technically," Mira said, "if he created us, shouldn’t he be taking our last nas?"
Flare rolled her eyes. "We don’t even have last nas!"
Kaelira, floating lazily nearby, stirred her tea with a spoon made of chaos energy. "I think I should marry him twice. You know, once for the summoner side, once for the god-forge side."
Jemil sighed. "Can we not make this weirder than it already is?"
From behind, Nyxalithe’s voice was cold and low.
"It’s going to get weirder."
She hovered above a pool of darkness in the center of the Howorld — where a glowing spire now pulsed.

The system materialized a gateway—an archway of silver bone and blue fla. Each step Jemil took toward it sent chills down his spine.
"You sealed more wives than you rember, Jemil."
"The war didn’t end... you just walked away from it."
Flare narrowed her eyes. "Thirteen more wives? Excuse ?"
"I didn’t choose to forget them," Jemil muttered. "I gave up everything to protect all of you. I just didn’t know it would... scatter them like this."
Kaelira floated beside him. "It’s not your fault. But we’re not leaving them behind."
As they entered the tower, each floor shifted in the. The first level opened into a foggy adow filled with broken rings, shattered weapons, and wilted flowers.
In the center floated a crystalline casket.
Inside... was a woman with long silver hair, covered in vines made of glass.

The wives fell silent.
"She’s... crying inside the crystal," Mira said quietly.
Vel’Zara frowned. "She rembers what we don’t. That’s going to be a problem."

The tower shifted and suddenly they were thrown into a battlefield—frozen in ti. War-torn skies. A younger Jemil knelt before Irielle, covered in blood.
"Leave ," Irielle said in the vision. "You can’t protect all of us."
Jemil — past Jemil — turned away.
And he never looked back.
Present-day Jemil stood in front of the scene, fists clenched.
"I rember this... but I didn’t know this was her."
"She chose to die alone."
"Because I didn’t know how to fight for her."
Kaelira placed a hand on his shoulder. "Then fight now."
Flare stepped forward, glowing with fire. "She needs more than power. She needs closure."

Jemil approached the casket, placing his hand over it.
"Irielle. If you can hear ..."
"I didn’t abandon you."
"I lost myself trying to save all of you. But I rember now. And I won’t walk away again."
He summoned all seven wives.

The glass vines cracked.
Her eyes fluttered open.
Silver tears stread down her cheeks. "You... rember ?"

Jemil joined her.
"I know you’re probably mad."
"I was," she said. "But I’m not now. Because if you truly forgot, and still ca back for ... that ans the bond was real."
"Always was," Jemil said quietly.
She leaned her head on his shoulder.
"I don’t know the others," she whispered. "But they’ll be harder. So... didn’t just forget you. So learned to hate you."
