Sang Luo frowned. Before she could utter a word of mockery, Sha lowered his head and captured her lips in a kiss, forcing her words back down her throat.

"Mmph—How dare you..." she gasped, stunned.

’This is Qingqiu!’

A vast, ink-blue mist billowed out from behind Sha, enveloping the entire space and the two of them within it.

When the mist dissipated, the scene before Sang Luo’s eyes had changed. Gone was the simple, elegant cottage, replaced by a magnificent, shadowy palace. She was no stranger to this place; she knew exactly where she was.

The bed was carved from a single, enormous piece of Black Jade, its luxury and opulence beyond imagination.

At this mont, Sang Luo was lying flat on the bed. Her loose sleep robe was in disarray, and her dark hair was spread out around her. A few strands were caught between her lips, while the pale skin of her chest was partially exposed—a tantalizingly seductive sight.

Her eyes, as she looked at the man, shimred with a wet sheen—from pure rage!

Sha’s gaze deepened. He knelt on the bed, pinning her slender, soft waist with one hand. His other long, broad palm slowly moved to her thigh before lifting it.

Sang Luo gripped the front of his robes, the mist in her eyes growing deeper and more alluring. An unnatural flush colored her cheeks.

Overwheld by the intense stimulation, she couldn’t think of anything else.

Sha lowered his gaze, watching her deeply aroused state, and grew even more unrestrained.

From his mories of her, he knew her body intimately and could easily seek out her pleasure.

And she was the only woman who could withstand him, allowing him to unleash his desire completely.

This ti, however, Sha deliberately treated Sang Luo with tenderness, not losing control as he had before.

He could nourish her body, but he was also mindful of not harming the child.

After an unknown amount of ti, Sang Luo finally regained a sliver of her senses. She looked at the absurd state they were in, the ss on and around the bed... and a wave of sha and anger washed over her. She opened her mouth and sank her teeth into his mark-covered chest.

"Urgh—"

Sha let out a muffled groan.

The veins on his arms bulged, but... he went no further.

Instead, he lowered his head and bit his own wrist. At once, purplish-red blood began to well up, flowing down the contours of his long, firm arm like a vivid, nacing tattoo.

A flash of panic flickered in Sang Luo’s eyes, unsure of what Sha intended. Then she saw him grab her jaw with his other large hand, forcing her mouth open and pouring his blood into it.

The gushing blood poured into her mouth and nose like a stream. Sang Luo choked and coughed. The blood lacked a nauseating, tallic sll, but it still made her stomach churn instinctively, and she fought the urge to vomit.

A cold, slender object that felt like a tail slowly coiled around her waist and lifted her. She was forced to swallow every last drop of blood.

Having lost so much blood at once, even Sha’s face had grown pale. In contrast, Sang Luo’s originally haggard complexion beca rosy and much healthier.

Taking advantage of the mont Sha’s grip loosened, Sang Luo shoved him away and retreated to the corner of the bed, curling into a ball.

She fiercely wiped the blood from her face and glared at him.

"Get out! I never want to see you again!"

Sha’s wounded right arm hung at his side, blood still dripping from his long, pale fingers. It splattered onto the snow-white sheets like blossoming Manjushaka flowers, creating a scene that was both decadent and eerily beautiful.

Sha raised his arm and lowered his head, licking the last of the blood clean. He then lazily lifted his eyes to glance at Sang Luo. His voice was gentle, showing no anger at her outburst. "I am the child’s sire. You can’t avoid seeing ."

"..." Sang Luo’s throat was tight, unable to even form a curse. On the verge of a breakdown, she cried, "I don’t want to see you right now! Send back!"

Sha’s deep gaze rested on her flushed face, as if to determine if she was truly angry. After a mont, he lowered his eyes to her abdon and said, "Give birth to the child."

’Is he threatening ? Or is he trying to make a deal?’

’If I don’t give birth to his child, he won’t let go?’

’What’s the difference between him and that bastard Dun?’

Sang Luo laughed, the sound sharp with anger. "And what if I say no?"

’He told his only weakness to an outsider, a grave taboo. He can’t bla for using it as leverage against him!’

"If you want to talk terms, I can make a deal with you." Sha looked at her. "As long as you give birth to the child, I will grant you one wish—any wish that I am capable of fulfilling."

As soon as he finished speaking, he swore a heavenly oath with Sang Luo, promising there would be no deceit.

Sang Luo’s pupils quivered. She had never actually intended to do anything to the child; she had only said that to anger him. Of course, she had also wanted to test his sincerity and see what kind of reward he would offer.

Given Sha’s power and status, he could have used countless thods to coerce her. But his willingness to offer her a promise from the Lord of the Ghost Realm was enough to extinguish half of the anger in her heart.

"Fine, I accept your deal. I’ll give birth to the child." Sang Luo composed herself, looking up at him with a smile. "By the way, has the Venerable King ever heard the saying? The worst thing for a pregnant woman is to get angry. She has to stay in a good mood for the baby to grow up healthy, you know."

"But seeing you just makes angry. So, what should we do about that?" she asked, her tone sweet enough to be lethal.

Sha was silent for a mont. "Fine," he said. "I will send you back. When you’re about to go into labor, I will co for you again."

His voice gradually faded, and the surrounding space slowly began to lose its color along with it.

When the mist dissipated again, Sang Luo found herself still lying on the bed. The furnishings that t her eyes were familiar, exuding a simple, elegant beauty.

She was back in the Divine Venerable Mansion in Qingqiu.

If not for her disheveled clothes, the lingering, passionate marks on her exposed neck and arms, and... a certain unntionable ache deep inside her, Sang Luo would have thought she had dread it all.

"Luoluo." Yan pushed the door open and entered.

Sang Luo dove under the covers, instinctively trying to hide the marks on her body, but he had already seen them.

Heartache flashed in Yan’s eyes. He sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her into his arms, whispering, "Are you all right?"

"...The Rakshasa King was here."

"I know." Yan wasn’t surprised. "He’s the child’s sire, isn’t he?"

"You guessed?"

Sang Luo had been confused before, but now it was all clear. Only the child’s biological sire could provide her with so much nourishnt.

This wasn’t Yan’s first encounter with the Ghost Clan. The child faintly exuded the aura of a Ghost Clan bloodline, yet it was different from a true mber of the Ghost Clan in a way that even he couldn’t quite decipher.

The Rakshasa King’s personal visit today was enough to confirm the child’s true identity.

"He... Regardless, the most important thing is to give birth to the child safely." Yan stroked her hair.

"Mmm." Sang Luo nodded, gently stroking her pregnant belly. She spoke without much emotion, "The Rakshasa King made a deal with . As long as I give birth to the child, he has promised one wish."

She knew what Yan was worried about, so she spoke first.

"Between him and , there are only benefits, no feelings. There’s no need for any official status between us."
