Minos placed one hand on Sang Luo’s forehead, preventing her from bumping her nose and hurting it as she did last ti. His blue eyes stared coldly in the direction Ilodi had left, his lips pressed into a tight line.
"So in your eyes, I’m not even as pleasing as a guard, is that it?"
’She smiled so happily at that guard, but she’s never given such a genuine, heartfelt smile.’
"Ilodi gives flowers and a bracelet. He does whatever I ask, and he never makes angry. Of course I’m happy when I see him."
"I make you angry?"
"The very sight of you makes angry."
"..."
Sang Luo saw that Minos’s expression was perfectly calm, but she had no idea that with this man, the calr he appeared, the more terrifying the storm to co would be!
He suddenly pinned her against the wall, gripped her chin, and captured her lips in a rough, biting kiss. "What exactly is wrong with ?" he asked, his voice low and hoarse between bites. "You like those useless little trinkets? Those cheap tactics? He can give you that flower and that bracelet, but he could just as easily give another set to any other female. What I give you, however, is for you and you alone."
"Flowers and bracelets are common; they aren’t precious things. But Ilodi gave these to himself. The gift isn’t important; what matters most is the thought behind it. Do you really think I’m short on treasures and jewelry? I have no idea how many treasures are in my space. You send people with box after box of things, but I never even get to see your face."
The more Sang Luo spoke, the angrier she beca—at the Holy Hall, and at Minos.
He kept saying he wanted to have a child with her, but she had barely even seen him. He did indeed send her many fine things and arrange her life in the Holy Hall, but the strange thing was... she had never felt any affection from him!
This was one of the reasons Sang Luo resisted him.
Minos didn’t understand. He knew that courting a female required giving gifts to win her over. So, like other Male Beasts, he sent her many shiny, beautiful presents. But she never showed any sign of liking them. He then assud his gifts were unappealing, so he copied the gifts her Beast Husbands usually gave her and sent her the exact sa things. She didn’t even spare them a glance.
Minos did not like to be rejected.
The gifts were all sent via servants.
’In any case, they were from to her. As long as the items reached her hands, that’s all that mattered. Whether I delivered them myself or had soone else do it, the result was the sa.’
He had always sent servants to deliver rewards to his subordinates, and they had all been very pleased.
’When it ca down to it, she just didn’t like .’
"I will have that guard transferred to the borderlands." Minos caressed her lips. "If you see him again and smile at him, I will... kill him."
Sang Luo was dumbfounded. ’Are these words that the noble, righteous Saint Heir, so perfect in public, could actually say? Anyone who didn’t know better would think a Fallen Angel was standing before .’
"Wait, have you misunderstood sothing? There’s nothing between and Ilodi. We’re just friends," Sang Luo said hurriedly.
Minos’s tightly furrowed brow relaxed slightly. "You don’t like him? But you gave him food..."
"Huh? I just saw he was working on an empty stomach, so I gave him a bottle of Water and two pieces of bread, that’s all." At her core, Sang Luo still thought like a human. Ilodi had looked out for her, so she was happy to return the favor. She shook her head. "At most, I like him as a friend, but it’s definitely not the kind of affection I’d have for a Beast Husband. Besides, you know my standards for choosing a partner better than anyone. There’s no way I’d have any designs on him."
She really didn’t want to get involved in any more romantic entanglents. If Ilodi really did harbor those kinds of feelings for her, she would have distanced herself from him on her own, even without Minos saying anything.
"..." Minos naturally knew that if she wanted to go back, she would only seek out powerful males with strong bloodlines.
After a mont of silence, he suddenly spoke.
"My talent is the Ti Rule."
Sang Luo’s breath caught in her throat. Her heart began to race, and she wondered if she had heard him correctly.
"I can see everything that flows through ti—death and rebirth, the future and the past, love, hatred, resentnt, greed, and evil. I can see it all with perfect clarity... I can even control an object’s ti, restoring it to its state at a specific point in the past," Minos told her.
He sighed, as if admitting defeat, and laid all his cards on the table. "Space-ti is ti and space. And the Space-ti Law you want... is within ."
Sang Luo had been searching for the Space-ti Law all this ti.
She had waited for eight years without a single clue. Now, the one who possessed the Ti Law was right in front of her, awaiting her choice.
She snapped back to her senses, her voice filled with unconcealable excitent. "Then the other one, the Space Law..."
"You already have the power of Space Jumping within you. It’s just that this power is too low-level and weak, far from enough to constitute a Rule Power."
Sang Luo was reminded of the Space Jumping talent she had obtained from Anubia. He was gone now, but it remained her most useful and powerful Talent Ability. If she ever had to give up a talent, Space Jumping would be the very last one she would part with.
Minos’s fingers traced from her lips to her eyes. "There’s sothing else I have to tell you. Once an outsider from another ti and space is discovered by the Order, they will be erased and destroyed by it."
Sang Luo’s heart skipped a beat. "Are you talking about ?"
"Mm."
"How is that possible? I’m alive and well right now, nothing’s wrong at all."
"Until now, and even at this mont, you are nothing but an insignificant speck of dust to the Order. It hasn’t noticed you yet," Minos said rcilessly. "The mont before you beco strong enough to leave, the Order will erase you directly. But the Ti Rule can help you hide in the countless crevices of ti and escape the Order’s obliteration."
"Therefore, you need . There’s no other way." Minos looked directly into Sang Luo’s eyes.
This was the reason he had always been so certain she would stay by his side.
But now, he no longer wanted to make her stay.
"I’ll let you go."
Sang Luo looked up at Minos in a daze. The surprise was too sudden.
"But the Holy Hall won’t relent. Even if I let you go, you still run the risk of being captured by them. I am the Saint Heir, but I am not the only Pure-blood Angel... All the Holy Hall wants is a Pure-blood Angel descendant."
Sang Luo’s mood gradually sank as she understood his aning.
Minos took out a golden contract.
"The Space-ti Rule in exchange for one heir. After the child is born, the contract is dissolved. You leave this place and will have nothing more to do with the Holy Hall or . I won’t interfere in your life, either. How about it?" Minos paused, then added, "I can also do one more thing for you. Anything at all."
Sang Luo, "...Let think about it."
Seeing her attitude soften, Minos gave a light, self-deprecating laugh. "So I’m just another failed male, having to rely on this to leave behind an heir."
"..." The way Sang Luo looked at Minos changed subtly.
’Forced versus voluntary.’
’The feeling is completely different.’
Minos’s Space-ti Rule talent held a fatal attraction for her.
’I want him!’
"I agree."
Minos looked at her in shock.
Sang Luo added, "But, I’ve said it many tis: my baby can only be conceived from love. If I truly beco pregnant with your child, it will an I love you. I can’t just go my separate way after the child is born!"
Sang Luo looked at Minos seriously.
"You will have to fulfill the duties not only of a Beast Father, but also of a Beast Husband."
