The Beast Tide was over.
On the way back to the city, Yu Ze looked at Si Ye. "There were a lot of these Demon Beasts, but their Cultivation wasn’t very high. The mont Sang Luo landed, she slled that familiar, rotten stench. ’This place is hiding several nests of Blood Demon Puppets!’
She and Si Ye struck straight at the heart of the problem, destroying two underground catacombs.
On their way to a third catacomb, they ran into a man in a black cloak. More than a dozen rows of corpses lay sprawled at his feet. He looked toward the entrance at the newcors, his voice sinister and deep. "A swarm of annoying ants. To think you’d chase all the way here!"
Yu Ze’s eyes burned with fury as he charged forward, throwing a punch. But Yu Cang instantly vanished before him like a phantom.

The entire catacomb began to collapse. "This is bad!" Si Ye exclaid. He shattered the closing stone door and quickly carried Sang Luo back to the surface.
Yu Ze and Hao Yue followed close behind, escaping as well.
The group gave chase, pursuing the fleeing Demon Clan mber.
Halfway through the chase, Si Ye suddenly felt sothing was wrong. He glanced at Hao Yue beside him, his expression turning ice-cold. "Why is it you?!"

Sang Luo followed behind Yu Ze, walking along a dirt path through a deep forest.
The air was still, the only sound being the soft crunch of their feet on fallen leaves.
Si Ye and Hao Yue were gone.
They had been separated by an Illusion Realm.
Red-eyed black birds occasionally flew overhead, letting out strange cries.
The Yu Ze in front of her suddenly stopped, and Sang Luo nearly bumped into his back. The man turned, smiling at her. "If a noble female like you is scared, you can hold my hand."
He held out his hand to her.
In the moonlight, Sang Luo saw that his hand was ghastly pale, almost bloodless.
"I’m not interested in males who are already engaged." Sang Luo stared at him, her lips curling into a sarcastic smile. Yu Ze didn’t seem to care. He took two steps closer to her. "Hao Yue doesn’t like either. I can cancel the engagent. Co with . Bear a child."
"Disgusting."
Sang Luo tossed out the word and strode forward.
"’Quite the temper.’ Yu Ze touched his lips and followed her. ’You can’t escape this Illusion Realm.’"
"That’s not a given." His Cultivation was higher than hers, so it took Sang Luo so ti to break the illusion.
In an instant, the murky atmosphere cleared.
Yu Ze stopped in his tracks, no longer following. He stared intently at her back and muttered, "Such powerful Fertility and Talent Ability. If I could just have you..."
His voice was imdiately carried away by the wind, but Sang Luo had heard every word clearly with her spiritual power. She stiffened for a mont, then walked away as if nothing had happened.
"Luoluo!" Si Ye hurried back to her side.
He was carrying a bloody head.
He had personally cut off Yu Cang’s head. He threw it to the ground, where it dissolved into a wisp of Black Qi.
The two groups returned to the city and parted ways.
Sang Luo wanted to stay and enjoy the city for a couple of days, so Si Ye remained with her.
That night, Sang Luo lay on top of him and asked, "Ah Ye, what do you think of Yu Ze as a person?"
"He’s pretty honest and upright."
"...Could you have misjudged him?"

A few days earlier at the inn, Si Ye had noticed that Yu Ze seed to have ill intentions toward her. But he was a brother he’d grown up with, and the man was engaged. Si Ye hadn’t wanted to question his character.
Sang Luo clicked her tongue. "He touched my hand. What are you going to do about it?"
Si Ye flew into a rage, imdiately getting dressed and jumping out of bed. "I’m going to the Sky Tiger Clan right now to kill him!"
Sang Luo quickly pulled Si Ye back onto the bed. "That wasn’t Yu Ze."
"Are you saying soone was impersonating him? ... His aura was right. We grew up together. There’s no way I’d be mistaken about that."
"I used the Eye of Judgnt on him. Guess what I saw?"
Si Ye said nothing, just looked into her eyes.
Sang Luo continued, "I saw nothing at all."
Si Ye’s expression was strange. The Eye of Judgnt could distinguish truth from lies. It was only useless against one kind of person... a dead person, one who had lost all thought.
"Luoluo, you already have a guess. Just say it. Who was ’he’?"
"One of the Seven Demon Envoys, Yu Cang."
Si Ye frowned, though he wasn’t too surprised. The "Yu Cang" he’d killed before had been too easy; one of the Seven Demon Envoys couldn’t possibly be that weak. "But how can you be sure it was him?"
"Fei Yuan told that Yu Cang has a parasitic Talent Ability. I’m guessing he uses it to disguise his identity. Back in the Illusion Realm, I heard him say he wanted to parasitize my body and make bear his children." Sang Luo shivered just thinking about it. "The man is a total pervert. From the way he said it, I don’t think he wanted ** to give birth. He wants to possess my body to get close to all of you."
Si Ye’s expression grew even darker. "So he was the mastermind behind the Illusion Realm. He wanted to use it to take your body."
"Mm. Yu Cang used an Illusion Technique to separate us, but you were still nearby. If he had tried anything, you would have sensed it imdiately. That’s why he didn’t dare to act rashly then.
