Chapter 723: Thunder Fire Divine Shield
At this mont, the light in Jiang Yi’s eyes was so bright it was scary. Due to his agitation, his body was trembling; and he no longer tried to run away. Simply sitting down where he was, he shut his eyes; and his arms danced wildly. At the sa ti, he released Wind Myriad and the Binding of Wind. Allowing the two dao patterns to fuse, he then controlled the Thunder Fire to move according to the route map on the shell of the antn.
“Huh... This kid is actually not running away? Can it be that his injuries are too severe, and he can’t run away any longer? It doesn’t matter... kill!”
A suspicious look appeared in the eyes of the Heaven Monarch experts who were on his tail for a long ti. However, none of them hesitated, and so of them unleashed a torrent of attack while the others quickly tore through the air and completely surrounding Jiang Yi. They were ready to make him rest here forever.

Dozens of attack shot through the air which caused the mud and rocks in the surroundings to roll about unceasingly. Although many people were not able to accurately lock on to Jiang Yi’s position, they were pretty sure of the general direction. Out of these over sixty attacks, there were at least thirty which would hit Jiang Yi. Out of the thirty, two of the attacks were extrely sinister. They were the attacks which ca from the three strongest experts present.
Jiang Yi’s Thunder Fire was extrely formidable, and there were arcs of lightning flashing inside it. It could weaken the power of the attacks of his enemies, but the problem here was that there were too many attacks. Not to ntion Jiang Yi, even a high-stage Heaven Monarch would be killed. However, Jiang Yi acted as if he didn’t care, and he kept releasing the ‘Wind Myriad’ and ‘Binding of Wind’ dao patterns as he controlled the movent of the Thunder Fire.
Twenty miles, ten miles, five miles... three miles!
The dozens of attacks brought along with them terrifying might which completely surrounded Jiang Yi. However, Jiang Yi didn’t move a single inch. If Jiang Yi were to not escape at the last minute, the Thunder Fire which was surrounding his body would definitely scatter. He would die from the impact.
Two miles, one mile... half a mile!
At this mont, Jiang Yi couldn’t escape even if he wanted to. The speed which the attacks were traveling at was too fast. In the next second, they would smash into the Thunder Fire surrounding his body.

His arms seed like they were spasming as they continued to dance in the air. The Thunder Fire which surrounded his body started to rotate about with terrifying speed. It moved faster and faster, causing everyone’s vision to blur. Very quickly, lines started to appear and blood vessels seed to appear as well. There were too many lines, and they were extrely complex and mysterious. Several hundred bundles of Thunder Fire wandered about and turned into several hundred lines which rotated around Jiang Yi’s body frantically.
At this very mont, the miraculous event took place.
Along with the extrely quick movent of the Thunder Fire, they started to fuse together. Seven to eight hundred bundles of Thunder Fire beca three to four hundred, and the number continued to decrease. It turned into one to two hundred... then to several dozens.
His body was initially covered by tens of ters of Thunder Fire. All of a sudden, they started to shrink at an extrely quick speed. Thirty ters, fifteen ters, three ters... one ter.
Finally!
It seed to form a shield around his body, and it looked extrely similar to a divine shield. However, other people’s divine shield was golden while his was a shade of sky-blue. A sky-blue shield appeared around his body, and there was a huge difference between this shield and a divine shield. There were countless lines which were swirling around Jiang Yi’s shield, and they were moving about, forming very strange patterns. A single glance would be enough to cause one’s heart to palpitate, and it felt as though there was a kind of strong dao presence behind it.

At this instant, Jiang Yi’s eyes snapped open, and arcs of lightning flashed in them. As though sharp swords, his gaze pierced through the sky-blue shield around his body and into the distance. He saw that there were already several powerful attacks which were shooting straight for him, and they were just about to hit him. An incomparably serious expression appeared on his face as he looked at the shield around his body and said in a low voice, “Whether I live or die is all up to you. Thunder Fire Divine Shield!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Two attacks which streaked through the air arrived first and viciously slamd into the shield around his body. A miraculous event happened once again: the terrifyingly powerful attacks which should easily shatter the shield slid off the shield as though there was a layer of oil applied to its outer layer. As the attacks slid off, they continued to fly forward.
“I succeeded!”
His body and soul spirit started to throb and looking at the strong attacks which whistled as they cut through the air towards him slide off his shield without the slightest effort on his part, he knew that it was completely impossible for them to hurt him. He almost knelt on the ground to thank the heavens.
Chi! Chi!
As tens of attacks continuously shot in his direction, many of them locked onto Jiang Yi; but without exception, all their attacks slid off. Jiang Yi seed like a loach as he easily slid away from the hands of countless people who were trying to catch him.
“Good stuff! A huge part of the power of the attacks which land on will be redirected. Also, the Thunder Fire fused together, and its defensive strength is now several tis tougher. Hahaha!”
Jiang Yi laughed loudly, and when the attacks reached him, he used his senses to take a look at the shield which covered his body. He discovered that a huge amount of the power would be led away by the lines which were circulating on the shield. His shield was like a spinning top which easily redirected the power of the attacks away from him.
Every ti the attacks landed on him, the energy consud by his Thunder Fire was close to negligible. Even after withstanding tens of attacks, only one percent of the Thunder Fire was used up. At this mont, Jiang Yi felt as though he turned into an unkillable cockroach. Even if he stood there to allow them to attack him to their hearts’ content, it would be extrely difficult for him to die.
“Sothing’s not right...”
He suddenly frowned. In theory, even after he fused the ‘Wind Myriad’ and ‘Binding of Wind’, it would only be slightly stronger than mid-grade dao patterns. There was no way their defensive power would increase by so much.
“The route map! The route map has to be the reason! The fusion of Wind Myriad and Binding of Wind can’t cause its strength to increase by that much. The only explanation is that the route map is too mythical! The antn are too aweso! Hahaha, I’m going to turn into a human-shaped antman now.”
After his thoughts spun around his head several tis, Jiang Yi didn’t bother thinking too much anymore. The most important thing he had to do right now was to run away. With this magical shield around him, the consumption of his Thunder Fire was drastically slowed down. The Fire Dragon Sword in his hand slashed outwards and destroyed the mud and stone in his path. He felt as though the shield, which ford a cocoon around him, didn’t affect his movent at all; and he could move and attack as he liked. After his shield took form, he didn’t need to consciously control it as it automatically condensed around his body. As he moved, the shield would move as well; and it was no different from a divine shield.
The only problem was that a divine shield wouldn’t shatter as long as one continuously poured essence force into it. This Thunder Fire shield around Jiang Yi’s body would automatically shatter as long as too much Thunder Fire had been consud. He had to release more Thunder Fire in order to condense the shield again. Of course, this wasn’t a problem. As long as he had Thunder Fire, he could instantly condense the shield around his body.
As he fled, attacks constantly ca from behind him. Jiang Yi didn’t have to bother evading the attacks as they would slide off the mont it ca into contact with the shield around his body as a huge amount of power would be redirected.
The mud and stone around him turned into dust, and Jiang Yi effortlessly flew into the distance. An extrely relaxed look was on his face, and it was an imnse contrast to the terrifying attacks which were around him. It turned into a scene which would be carved into the mory of everyone present.
After fleeing for about 15 minutes, Jiang Yi’s eyebrows lifted. He rubbed his nose and muttered, “Sothing isn’t right... why do I have to run away? They can’t even kill right now, but who is to say I can’t kill them? I can use the instant shift, and no one knows the direction I will be moving in. I can think of ways to close the distance between us and borrow the power of the extre heat of my Thunder Fire to burn them to death!”
At the very least, his Thunder Fire shield would be able to defend against several thousands of attacks. He could care less about the consumption of his Thunder Fire, and even if he stood still, everyone behind him wouldn’t be able to kill him. Even if the Thunder Fire shield breaks, he could instantly form another one. Why did he have to run?
