From that cave mouth, a large gush of "black water" suddenly poured out. It landed on the ground, revealing itself to be countless strange insects. These were similar in appearance to the previous large one but only the size of broad beans.
These insects looked like spiders, but all eight of their legs were as sharp as sickles.
Countless tiny insects scampered in all directions, attempting to burrow into the gaps of the chas. Moreover, like the iron wire worms ntioned earlier, they could combine to form a larger entity, becoming even more lethal after fusion.
These insects likely also possess a resistance to certain Professional abilities, similar to the iron wire worms, Chen Gu secretly speculated.
Sure enough, Bu She's Quantum Wizard ability failed again, and he faced peril once more. The rcenaries fought desperately to kill these insects and rescue their comrades. anwhile, a continuous stream of tiny insects, occasionally interspersed with a few large ones comparable to the first, surged forth from the cave mouth. That cave entrance seed like an insect nest, teeming with an endless supply of insects.
The client girl suddenly whispered to Chen Gu, "Since this is a cooperative effort, you should demonstrate your value."
Chen Gu curled his lips. Unable to slack off any longer, he stepped forward and said, "Leave those big ones to you."

Dou Mao looked at Chen Gu disdainfully and muttered, "His strength isn't bad, but he's sneaky and irresponsible."
The smaller insects were easier to handle with a suitable area-of-effect skill like Radiation Scouring, which didn't seem to require much effort.
However, each of the larger insects was more formidable than the last. Dou Mao's companions were still struggling against them.
Chen Gu stood guard at the cave mouth, from which a large number of insects continued to "flow" out. He kept Radiation Scouring active, turning the tiny insects to ash the mont they leaped from the cave entrance onto the ground.
Yet, Chen Gu deftly avoided the large insects among them. These were then allowed to pass, rushing towards the rcenaries, baring fangs and flashing claws.
Before long, the ash from the incinerated small insects had piled up around the cave mouth to a thickness of a full ten centiters.
Xulong and the other rcenaries, however, faced an increasingly troubleso situation, as the number of large insects had reached over thirty. Even as Professionals, they found it difficult to cope.
Dou Mao stood protectively in front of the client girl, her face alert to prevent the insects from harming her. At the sa ti, her dissatisfaction with Chen Gu grew. "If you still have strength to spare, you should at least offer assistance to your allies!"
Chen Gu, however, ignored her, continuing to block the cave mouth and burn insects.

This small insect cried out loudly. The surrounding large insects imdiately abandoned their other targets in a frenzy and pounced towards Chen Gu.
Chen Gu sneered, a blazing force from his toe pressing into the small insect's body. This one was much more resilient than the others, having survived one Radiation Scouring. However, being specifically targeted by a Sixth Energy Level expert, it still shrieked before turning into a pile of ash.
The oncoming large insects roared continuously, appearing even more ferocious and venomous. However, even Dou Mao, positioned at the rear, could see they suddenly didn't know how to attack.
They could only rush at Chen Gu in anger, driven by instinct.
Previously, these large insects could even coordinate with each other. Now, however, a few of them brainlessly collided.
