Gong Shuxu opened the private channel. As he listened to what Chen Gu said, his expression grew increasingly odd. After about half a minute, he approached Aviloya and whispered sothing to her.
Aviloya's face turned red instantly. She glared fiercely at the generator, then turned and walked away without looking back.
Dr. ng Ji called out, "Hey…" but the Director-General didn't seem to hear and hurried away.
"What's going on?" The doctor was puzzled. Gong Shuxu, already smiling, said, "Get ready. I estimate that in two hours, Chen Gu will be prepared to make a second attempt at the Sixth Energy Level."
Dr. ng Ji's eyes widened. "What did you say? Are you crazy, or did I mishear?"
"Neither," Gong Shuxu said, spreading his hands. "The guy inside is Chen Gu. I wouldn't be surprised at anything he does. You've known him for this long; is there any need to be so shocked?"
"But... even so... Ugh..." Dr. ng Ji wanted to argue but ended up saying nothing.

"Oh," Dr. ng Ji said. He then instructed his students, "Collect these. We'll analyze their composition back at the lab."
"Alright, everyone, get ready. We're about to begin the second advancent attempt."
"Chen Gu, are you really okay?" the doctor asked, still concerned.
Chen Gu's voice was much lighter. "Please don't worry, Doctor. I wouldn't joke with my own life. This ti, I'm at least 80% confident."
In fact, after consuming all those mysterious materials, I feel like I've already advanced to the Sixth Energy Level, Chen Gu thought. Using the generator is just for show.
