658: 357 treaty 658: 357 treaty There were six people in the courtyard.

Among them, five were bald monks dressed in the uncommon black robes with a hint of heretical style.

These five monks varied in age and had distinctly different temperants.

The Great Black Buddha Mother introduced, “These five are the protector monks under my command, known as Xu Ku, Xu She, Xu Kong, Xu Jie, and Xu Mi.”

“Xu Ku excels in ascetic practices, skilled in both offense and defense.”

“Xu She is foremost in wisdom, adept at debate, breaking enemy sches, and foreseeing the future.”

“Xu Kong is the best at mobility, skilled at creating teleportation arrays, moving freely as he wishes.”

“Xu Jie is the best at maintaining discipline, able to rely on self-sacrifice to resolve any hopeless situation.”

“Xu Mi is the best at secrecy, with him around, heavenly secrets are not divulged.”

Fang Zhixing understood and responded calmly, nodding his head in greeting.

In face of Fang Zhixing, the five venerable monks showed profound respect, bringing their hands together and bowing deeply, filled with awe.

Although they were the capable lieutenants of the Great Black Buddha Mother and were not lacking in strength, compared to Fang Zhixing’s achievents, they hardly seed worth ntioning.

Then, the Great Black Buddha Mother turned towards another person.

This individual was a simply dressed elderly man, tall and thin with his long beard flowing, and possessing snow-white hair reminiscent of the feathers of an Immortal Crane.

“This is Elder Mo, Mo Shouju, known as ‘Master,’ and my revered ntor,”

the Great Black Buddha Mother introduced reverently, “Master is the foremost leader of Confucianism, the founder of well-known places like Ying Tianfu, Bailu Academy, and Donglin Hall.”

Fang Zhixing’s eyes flickered as he clasped his hands in a gesture of respect, “I have long heard of the Old Master, my neglect of propriety.”

Mo Shouju returned the gesture relaxedly, stroking his beard and smiling, “I have long heard the great na of Fang, resounding like thunder; seeing you today, truly, your reputation is well-deserved, I am deeply impressed.”

After getting acquainted, everyone took their seats.

Xu Mi then activated the “Luo Houluo Venerable Dharma Form” and spread out a secluded domain that isolated everything from the outside world.

Within this domain, anything they did could not be detected by others.

This allowed them to speak freely, without fear of leaking secrets.

Fang Zhixing looked at the Great Black Buddha Mother and got straight to the point, “Have you had contact with the Emperor?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother nodded, “Yes, I have t with Ji Yuanwu, settled the terms, and ford a non-aggression pact.”

Ji Yuanwu was the na of the current Emperor.

Fang Zhixing raised his eyebrows, “What specifically does this non-aggression pact entail?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother explained carefully, “We and Ji Yuanwu’s fleet will travel together, sharing supplies, cooperating in battle, sharing weal and woe, setting aside any grievances until we reach our destination, and prohibiting mutual attacks.”

Fang Zhixing curiously asked, “How do you ensure that neither side will suddenly turn hostile or stab each other in the back?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother paused briefly, then opened her robe to reveal her snow-white chest.

Fang Zhixing’s gaze sharpened as he saw her proud breasts gradually turn transparent, revealing the heart within thumping visibly.

Upon closer inspection, one could see a small sword, ethereal and almost invisible, embedded within the heart, incredibly mysterious.

“What is this?” Fang Zhixing exclaid in surprise.

The Great Black Buddha Mother explained, “This is the ‘Contract Sword,’ ford from the solidified words of the oath.

Should either I or Ji Yuanwu violate the agreent, we will imdiately et with disaster.”

Fang Zhixing swiftly understood and responded, “What about the Sea Diagram?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother smiled, “Following your advice, I handed over the first half of the Sea Diagram to Ji Yuanwu; we still possess the second half.”

Fang Zhixing nodded, “Hmm, this precaution should deter so from becoming desperate and reneging halfway.”

The Great Black Buddha Mother agreed, then added, “Ji Yuanwu also made a condition; we must share a single ship with him, and during the voyage, abide by the arrangents of the ‘Fate Dice.'”

Fang Zhixing frowned, puzzled, “What is the Fate Dice?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother replied, “A remarkable imperial relic.

Using it to throw dices, it can block any external influences; thus, the outco of the throw depends entirely on personal fortune.

If during the voyage our fleet is attacked and so need to risk their lives in battle, who will take the risk to fight?”

Ji Yuanwu has promised he will not force anyone to fight; everything will be decided by the Fate Dice.”

Fang Zhixing clicked his tongue, “An emperor actually relying on a dice to solve crises?

What if everyone throws a result of not fighting, who will resolve the crisis?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother laughed, “That won’t happen.

The Fate Dice is actually a lifesaving artifact, especially effective in dealing with major crises.

If the results show that so people need to fight while others do not, it ans the crisis is manageable.

The most terrifying scenario is if everyone must fight; then, it’s not hard to infer that the crisis is so severe that it could entirely wipe us out.”

Listening, Fang Zhixing marveled and after thinking a bit, asked, “There are nine n and a dog on our side; what about Ji Yuanwu’s side?”

The Great Black Buddha Mother continued, “Ji Yuanwu has not revealed a detailed list to , but I have discovered that he has a Personal Guard Team, including mbers of the Imperial Family and so court-bred experts, each highly formidable.

Additionally, Ji Yuanwu has also ford four guard teams, a Vanguard Team, and an Alchemy Team.

Beyond these, there are elites from the Buddhist, Taoist, Confucian sects, Sword Sect, Talisman Sect, and others, with the least powerful being from the Nine Ox Realm, though most are experts of the Hundred Cows Realm.”

At this point, she sighed, “Seeing this personnel configuration, it’s evident Ji Yuanwu is well-prepared and quite resolute, having nearly exhausted the Great Zhou Dynasty.”

Fang Zhixing fell silent briefly, then asked, “What about the Sky Observation Departnt, has Tian Lei been involved?”
