36: 36 Eyes 36: 36 Eyes In the blink of an eye, the little monkey’s body decayed and turned into a pile of ashes, scattering with the blow of the wind.

Not a single part of its fur, bones, or any other organs were left behind.

Literally vanished like smoke and ashes.

The Horned King Monkey’s cub, completely drained!

Imdiately following that, the System Panel blurred for a mont before becoming clear again.

[Elite Archer・Full Level Conditions:

1.

Beco a Full Level Ordinary Archer (Completed)

2.

One eye from each of three different animals (2/3)

3.

Horned King Monkey cub (Completed)]

“Hmm, just one more eye to go,”

Fang Zhixing murmured softly, his mind racing.

“Huh?”

Xigou blinked in confusion and asked, “You’ve already gotten the eyes of two different animals?

The Horned King Monkey counts as one, but what’s the other, and when did you get it?

I had no idea.”

Fang Zhixing replied, “The old hen’s, of course.

Didn’t we eat three of them?”

“No way!”

Xigou suddenly exclaid, “I rember you saying that chickens are naturally nearsighted and you didn’t want their eyes.”

He suddenly realized the truth.

Fang Zhixing had killed him once today, that eye must definitely be his!

“Damn, you wanted a good eye, so you deliberately provoked to attack you, then took the opportunity to kill just to get my eye!”

Xigou finally caught on.

Fang Zhixing, this guy, was ticulous with his plans, and every step he took had a purpose, a calculation of his own.

“Ah, you’re scheming against !!”

Xigou was hopping mad, nearly vomiting out the food he had eaten.

“Cut the drama,”

Fang Zhixing remained unfazed, indifferently said, “You’re overthinking it.

It’s just the old hen’s eye, believe it or not.”

He turned his head away, the corners of his mouth slightly curling up.

Xigou was furious, gritting his teeth and cursing, “Fine, fine, fine, I hope you get yourself a pair of titanium-alloy dog eyes.”

Fang Zhixing didn’t respond, got up, and walked towards the door, saying, “Let’s go, we’ll take a look around the vegetable market and see if we can find a good eye.”

In a fit of anger, Xigou stubbornly said, “Go if you want to go, I’m not accompanying you any longer.”

As he spoke, he lay down and refused to budge, adamant to the end.

Without looking back, Fang Zhixing bluntly said, “If I level up and you’re not there, will you still get a boost?”

At these words!

Xigou hesitated for a mont, his dog eyes swirling around before he got up and ran after Fang Zhixing.

“Damn it, I contributed my eyes, why shouldn’t I get a share of the upgrade!”

“No matter what, there’s no way I’m letting myself be taken advantage of!”

Muttering curses, Xigou caught up with Fang Zhixing.

There was a busy market on Eastern Street of the town center, filled with the clamor of people.

This place sold nearly everything, including firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, tea, vegetables, fish, and at, offering an assortnt of goods.

As Fang Zhixing walked down the street, he was surrounded by the shouts of the vendors.

Before long, he ca upon several at stalls selling chicken, pork, beef, mutton, and so other ats of unidentifiable species.

“Xigou, sniff around carefully,”

Fang Zhixing communicated via telepathy.

Xigou replied impatiently, “Sniff what?”

Fang Zhixing promptly continued, “Can’t you sniff out the scent of a Bloodline Mutant Beast?

Maybe soone at this market has hunted one down.”

Xigou imdiately realized what Fang Zhixing was planning; the guy still aid to obtain a Mutant Beast’s eye.

The Full Level Conditions stated [one eye from each of three different animals] but he had altered it to [one eye from each of three different Bloodline Mutant Beasts].

Truly, a man with ambition!

Worthy of the title of top student, your own demands are indeed high!

“Damn, no wonder you wanted to co along,”

Xigou suddenly saw the light, finding himself reduced to a re tool.

Fang Zhixing did not deny it, then tempted further, “If I make significant progress, you should also gain more improvent, right?”

After hearing this, no matter how reluctant Xigou felt, he had to admit that his bond with Fang Zhixing was sowhat twisted.

They thrived together, they suffered together.

Seeing Xigou’s lack of response, Fang Zhixing’s lips quirked, and he played his trump card, seriously saying, “Dinner tonight, you get to choose whatever you want, no restrictions.”

Xigou imdiately perked up, his nose beginning to twitch rapidly.

As he sniffed, he moved forward.

Fang Zhixing followed at a leisurely pace.

Gradually, they left the at-selling area and entered the fish market.

Xigou didn’t stop, quickly moving past the fish market, just when a burst of bird calls suddenly ca from sowhere.

The marketplace was extrely chaotic and noisy, where people talking face-to-face could barely hear each other clearly.

However, the bird calls were quite piercing, each one reaching the ear.

Fang Zhixing looked around for the source, for a ti, he could only hear the sound but not see the bird.

Xigou paused for a mont, then suddenly turned his head and dashed forward, swiftly turning into a side alley.

Fang Zhixing followed and saw that there were also vendors in the alley.

“Wild ga, fresh wild ga!”

Several vendors were shouting energetically.

They were selling ga caught from the mountains, primarily birds.

Xigou walked and stopped, finally halting in front of a stall, staring at a cage.

“This bird, it has a very unique sll,” Xigou transmitted telepathically.

Fang Zhixing glanced at the bird in the cage; it resembled a hawk but was smaller in size, thin and frail, with a slightly oversized head and mottled feathers.

He frowned slightly, expressing his surprise and doubt, “Can you be sure this bird is a mutant beast of a special bloodline?”

Xigou replied without words, “How can you expect to be certain?

I can only judge by the scent that this bird emits a kind of dangerous aura.

Whether it has a bloodline or not cannot be determined with absolute certainty.”

Fang Zhixing understood and crouched down.

The vendor imdiately said, “Sir, all these birds are caught from the mountains, they taste delicious when roasted.”

Fang Zhixing pointed to the mottled bird and asked, “What kind of bird is this?

Do you recognize it?”

The vendor responded with an obliging smile, “This is a great crested grebe, a kind of water bird.

It’s very wild and will eat anything; it’s very hard to catch.

Not to deceive you, but this bird is very aggressive.

If it gets irritated, it will chase after people and peck their eyes out.”

“Great crested grebe?” Fang Zhixing had never heard of it, but he liked fierce birds; such birds definitely had keen eyesight.

“I’ll take it!”

Fang Zhixing quickly made up his mind.

Shortly after, following so bargaining, Fang Zhixing purchased the great crested grebe.

The man and his dog quickly left the marketplace.

By then, it was nearing evening.

They planned to have dinner before returning to the Cheng Family’s courtyard.

“Where should we eat?

The Riverside Restaurant again?” Xigou asked.

Fang Zhixing thought for a mont, then replied, “Let’s go sowhere quieter, like a small tavern or sothing.”

Xigou couldn’t help but think of that broken back and nodded, “Okay, let’s just have so ho-style dishes.”

Monts later, they entered an alley, took another turn, and arrived at the snack street on East Street.

“Stop right there!”

Suddenly, two n sprang out in the alley, blocking the road.

Fang Zhixing narrowed his eyes and sized up the two n; they looked shifty, clearly a couple of street thugs.

Were they trying to rob him?

One of the n blustered, “Kid, hand over the protection fee.”

Fang Zhixing let out a cold laugh, his right hand reaching for his hunting knife.

Seeing this, the two street thugs suddenly threw a handful of powder into the air.

It was li!

Li powder billowed through the air.

Fang Zhixing lifted his left hand to protect his eyes, while stepping back swiftly.

But as he took two steps back, rapid footsteps ca from behind.

As he turned his head, a large net appeared in his field of vision.

Whoosh~

The net fell over his head, covering Fang Zhixing completely.

A brawny man lunged at him, ramming into Fang Zhixing.

Fang Zhixing was trapped by the net, unable to move, his knife not drawn in ti, and was knocked to the ground.

Following that, a group of people surrounded him, punching and kicking.

Bang bang bang~

Pain erupted all over Fang Zhixing’s body, forcing him to curl up and protect his head.

“Woof woof!”

In his ear, he could hear Xigou’s barking.
