33: 33 Big al 33: 33 Big al “Water monster?”

Fang Zhixing and Xigou exchanged glances, lost in thought.

Thinking for a mont, Xigou sent a psychic ssage: “A monster in the water that can overturn a large ship?

Could it be so kind of transcendent creature?”

“Hmm, that’s possible.”

Fang Zhixing replied, “You’ve awakened the Maned Wolf Bloodline, which ans that bloodline creatures exist in this world.

Perhaps it’s an ancient species.”

“Ancient species!!”

Upon hearing this, Xigou instantly beca excited.

If humanity is flourishing in martial arts, what about transcendent creatures?

Perhaps…

Xigou couldn’t help but let his imagination run wild, lost in fanciful thoughts.

Fang Zhixing headed straight for the inn by the river.

Arriving at the place, he saw a crowd of refugees gathered in front of the inn’s door, each holding bowls and begging outside the entrance.

“Kind sir, please give us sothing to eat.

My child hasn’t eaten in three days.”

“I’m so hungry, I’m about to starve to death, please have rcy on .”

“Is that the sll of roast chicken?

Oh, esteed lords upstairs, spare a chicken bone to eat, I’ll kowtow to you!”

Inside the inn, the fragrance was tantalizing; outside, hungry corpses lay everywhere.

The hungry people, slling the delicious aroma, felt even more starved.

Despite the wailing outside, the people inside the inn were indifferent, eating and drinking as usual, turning a deaf ear.

There were too many refugees, jostling each other.

Fang Zhixing and Xigou stood outside the crowd, unsure how to enter the inn for a while.

Just then, four burly n walked out of the inn.

Each was strong and fierce-looking, their bodies covered with blue tattoos.

They held thick wooden sticks in their hands.

As soon as they appeared, the faces of the many refugees changed drastically, terror-stricken, they turned and ran.

Those who ran slowly were caught by the burly n, who raised their sticks and beat them rcilessly.

In a short while, more than a dozen refugees were beaten to a pulp, their cries echoing to the heavens.

“Damn it, get the hell away from here!”

“If anyone dares to interfere with the inn’s business again, I’ll break your damn legs.”

The four burly n were domineering and looked like evil spirits.

They were clearly the inn’s hired bodyguards, maintaining order with violent ans.

Anyone who displeased them would be unable to walk away unscathed.

The refugees dispersed.

Seeing this, Fang Zhixing headed towards the inn on his own.

“Oh, soone’s really not afraid to die!”

One of the burly n noticed Fang Zhixing, his anger turning to laughter.

He shook his wooden stick and advanced towards him.

Fang Zhixing was taken aback at first, then he quickly realized sothing was wrong.

Xigou imdiately stopped in his tracks, chuckled and said, “Look at yourself, dressed in tattered clothes and wearing straw sandals, how are you any different from those refugees?”

Fang Zhixing also realized the problem and quickly said, “I’m not a refugee, I’m here to eat at the inn.”

“You?”

The burly man didn’t believe it at all.

He lifted his stick and swung right at Fang Zhixing’s head.

Fang Zhixing’s mouth twitched slightly, he quickly dodged to the side, using a move from “Iron Mountain Skill”, slipping close to the burly man.

His five fingers tightened into a fist and he punched out.

This move was called “Unexpected Disaster” and targeted the enemy’s flank, aiming to rupture his liver with a fist.

Thump!

The burly man let out a muffled groan and instantly collapsed to the ground, clutching his lower back and showing an imnse expression of pain.

He was unable to stand for a long while, sweating profusely.

“Huh?!”

The other three burly n were shocked, staring straight at Fang Zhixing, puzzled and astonished.

All four of them were strong n; in the whole small town of Qinghe, there were very few who could knock down any one of them with a single punch.

Fang Zhixing took a step back and spread his hands calmly, “I’ve co to eat, not to cause trouble.”

A burly man with a frown asked, “Do you have money?”

Fang Zhixing directly took out his purse, gave it a shake, and a clattering sound erged.

He asked, “Is this enough?”

The man’s pupils shrank and he quickly said, “Enough, please co in.”

Fang Zhixing confidently strode through the doorway, with Xigou scampering close behind.

“Is this your dog?” the burly man inquired.

Fang Zhixing nodded.

The man cautioned, “There are many esteed guests inside the tavern.

You must control your dog.

If it bites soone, you’ll have to compensate fully, and our establishnt takes no responsibility.”

“Understood,” Fang Zhixing replied and suddenly asked, “Where in town can I buy clothes?”

The man responded, “You can head to the fabric shop to buy cloth, then find a tailor to make you so clothes.”

Fang Zhixing shook his head, “That’s too slow.

Are there any ready-made sets of clothing?”

The man answered, “Yes, there are.

They’re on South Street, but be warned, ready-made clothes aren’t cheap.”

Fang Zhixing got it and turned to enter the tavern’s main hall.

Inside the hall, many round tables were neatly arranged, more than half of them occupied with guests.

Fang Zhixing casually picked an empty table to sit down, and Xigou also hopped onto the bench, sitting upright with his chest out.

The waiter quickly ca over, wiping the table with a cloth and smiling, “What can I get for you, sir?”

Fang Zhixing replied, “This is my first ti here, do you have any special dishes?”

The waiter enthusiastically said, “Oh, we have plenty of specialties: Deboned at, Stir-Fried Young Chicken with Ginger, Sauteed Three Delicacies of the River…”

He rattled off seven or eight dish nas in one breath.

Fang Zhixing asked for the prices, then ordered three at dishes and a bowl of rice.

The waiter indicated, “Sir, our establishnt requires paynt before serving the dishes.”

Fang Zhixing promptly paid, spending a total of one hundred and eighty-two Big Coins.

After a short wait…

The waiter delivered the first dish, Deboned at!

The plate was piled with chunks of at, garnished with minced ginger and garlic, served with a bowl of soy sauce, and it slled outrageously good.

Fang Zhixing couldn’t help but swallow his saliva.

It had been over a month since he ca to this world, and it was his first ti enjoying a chef-prepared al.

He picked up a piece of at and put it in his mouth; the taste of the at lted away, bringing an inner joy that was simply delightful.

Then, he picked up another piece, dipped it in soy sauce, and put it into his mouth; the flavor of the at wrapped in the aroma of the sauce was absolutely divine, making one unable to stop.

“Woof woof~”

Xigou was getting anxious.

He couldn’t use chopsticks and could only watch with drool streaming down.

Fang Zhixing rolled his eyes and ladled half of the at into a small bowl for Xigou.

“Soy sauce!

I want soy sauce!” Xigou demanded earnestly.

Soy sauce was the soul of this dish!

Fang Zhixing ignored him and kept eating heartily.

“Woof, woof woof!”

Xigou cursed, insisting on having his soy sauce or he would make a scene.

Since coming to this world, besides chili and salt, he hadn’t tasted any other condints and was famished for them.

The dog’s barks soon caught the attention of others, with people turning to look.

“Look at that, in these tis when people can’t even get enough to eat, soone is feeding at to a dog,” an elder twirling his beard said while shaking his head and sighing.

“Who is this guy, dressed in tatters yet affording to keep a dog?” a middle-aged man in a green shirt frowned and comnted.

There was a buzz of discussion among the crowd.

Fang Zhixing, ears catching the chatter, glared fiercely at Xigou.

Unrelenting, Xigou pawed at him, “Soy sauce!”

Fang Zhixing bared his teeth and reluctantly gave him half a bowl of soy sauce.

Xigou was overjoyed and finally quieted down, burying his head in the bowl and eating ravenously.
