On the other side of the city, at a bustling amusent park, Micah had completely forgotten about the angry car owner. He was too busy having the ti of his life. From rides and snacks to laughter with Darcy and Nora, the hours slipped by until nearly ten o’clock. They stayed to watch the parade and the grand finale of fireworks blooming over the amusent park. The sky lit up with brilliant bursts of gold, red, and violet, casting a warm glow over Micah’s contented face.

After dropping the sibling off at their doorstep, with Nora waving goodbye excitedly at him, Micah made his way back to Ramsy’s estate. He ran a hand through his slightly tousled hair and yawned as he stepped inside.

The house was unusually quiet for that hour, except for the low hum of the television echoing from the family lounge. As Micah walked down the hallway and peeked in, he found the whole family squeezed together on the long couch. The lights were dimd. The glow from the oversized TV showed their tense faces and wide eyes. All of them stared, srized.

Micah kicked off his sneakers and wandered in.

"Where were you??" Willow asked without tearing her eyes from the screen. She was peeling a mandarin with her slender fingers, the citrus scent hit Micah’s face.

"Amusent park with my friends," Micah replied, plopping down beside her. He reached over and swiped one of the neatly segnted slices from her palm.

He grinned, enjoying the sweet taste of the fruit, and slumped against the cushions, stretching his leg out. But the mont he glanced at the TV screen, his expression froze.

There, in vivid HD, a striking man stood beneath a colourful maple tree. He wore an elegant light blue Hanfu with silver embroidery that shimred under moonlight. His dark hair was pulled in a half knot and pinned with a delicate gold jade ornant, strands drifting down his pale neck. His face was almost immortal, cold, and regal with sharp sword-like eyebrows, deep-set peach blossom eyes shadowed with emotion, and lips pressed into a fine unreadable line.

The word ’majestic’ ca to mind just looking at his face and deanour.

Evan Micah had to admit it, the guy was stupidly beautiful. The kind of face that made people doubt their orientation.

Micah blinked a few tis, lips twitching.

"Is this drama any good? Why are all of you so invested in it?!"

Aria, who was curled up on the armchair, hugging a cushion, hissed at him. "Shhh! This is the climax of the drama! The crown prince finally found out the pri minister was a girl all along!"

Micah’s eyes widened. "What?"

Jacob, sitting cross-legged on the floor, cracked open so peanuts and passed the pieces to Elina, who placed them into her mouth without blinking.

"The whole selling point of this drama was the heroine crossdressing."

Micah rubbed his tired face, thinking wasn’t he going to do the opposite? What if Leo Mckay could see through him because of playing in this drama?!

He felt anxious. What was with his luck?!

He had already been on edge about his plan. Now fate was showing him a televised mirror of it?

On the screen, the crown prince played by none other than Leo himself, grasped the heroine’s hand, demanding answers.

His voice cracked with fury and heartbreak.

"Was it amusing to make a fool of ? Do you know how many sleepless nights I spent agonizing over the fact that I had fallen in love with a man?!"

The cara zood in on the pri minister, aka heroine’s face, her expression trembling. Her eyes filled with unshed tears as she yanked her hand back.

"You don’t understand anything!" she cried, her voice raw.

"I was not here for romance in the first place but to take revenge on you! You killed my brother! You used him, humiliated him, and tossed him aside!"

Micah’s heart skipped a beat. His palms broke into sweats. What was happening? Why was this plot similar to what he was going to do?! Ahhhh..

"What are you talking about?! Until a few minutes ago, I stupidly thought you were him! I have never seen him before in my life!"

The crown prince said.

"What are they talking about?" Micah whispered to Willow.

Willow didn’t look away from the screen.

"Oh...She was reborn after her brother, who was the original pri minister, was killed. So when she went back in ti before her brother t the crown prince, she disguised herself and took his place."

Micah’s forehead jumped.

Wait a second. Crossdressing? Revenge? Fixing the past before it happens? Was this...

Wasn’t exactly what he was trying to do?! He wanted to punish Leo before he touched Darcy, righting the wrongs before those horrible things were done to Darcy?!

What is it? So divine ssages?

Telling him what would happen next?

The screen showed Leo, staggering back, his face a mixture of hurt and confusion.

"How can I be blad for sothing I didn’t do?"

"It doesn’t matter!" the heroine snapped, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"The most important thing is that I rember it! I rember your ruthlessness, inhuman way of dealing with my family! That’s enough for to get back at you!"

Then the heroine dashed toward the exit, but the crown prince forcefully hugged the heroine and said.

"No! I don’t care why you stepped into the palace! I don’t care even if you hate ! You are mine! Don’t even think about running away!"

The heroine struggled fiercely.

Out of the blue, the crown prince cupped the heroine’s face and kissed her hard, making her go limp.

Goosebumps rose in Micah’s skin, thinking Leo fell in love with him instead of Darcy, forcing a kiss on him.

Ew.. his stomach churned. Bile rose in his throat, feeling nauseated.

"Oh, hell no!" he whispered, panicked.

He shot to his feet with a jolt, causing the cushion under him to flip.

"Hey! Move aside!"

Aria pushed him, craning her neck to watch the screen.

Micah didn’t say anything and practically bolted up the stairs, two steps at a ti, trying to put distance between himself and that damn drama.

If he had to watch one more scene of Leo kissing and staring longingly at the crossed-dressing heroine, Micah might have broken the TV in his fright.

Inside his room, he dashed toward the bathroom, taking a warm shower, and washing the image out of his head.

But deep inside, he had a horrible feeling the crown prince’s peach blossom eyes were already burned into his subconscious.
