From Villain to Virtual Sweetheart: The Fake Heir's Grand Scheme(BL) Chapter 13: Home sweet home
The next morning, Micah dreaded seeing Silas walk through the door, but instead, a senior doctor entered his hospital room, clipboard in hand and a warm yet professional smile on his face.
Micah’s tense shoulder relaxed as the corners of his lips stretched upwards.
Yeah, this was what a real doctor should be like. What was the author thinking, portraying Silas as one? Cold, arrogant, and a complete mysophobe? How did that even make sense?
"Good morning, young master Micah, how are you feeling today??"
Micah, already sitting up in bed, nodded as a greeting to the doctor.
"Better than yesterday and Ready to go ho."
The doctor chuckled. "That’s good to hear. If everything checks out, we can discharge you today."
Micah happily cooperated with the doctor, and after a few standard tests, the doctor said, "You’re free to go. Just avoid any strenuous activities for the next few days. If you feel nauseous, dizzy or have a constant headache or blurry vision, co to the ergency room."
Micah nodded eagerly and looked at his parents.
"I’ll go take care of the discharge process. You can start packing."
Jacob Ramsy said with a smile.
Micah dressed in a flash, slinging his bag over his shoulder, ready to leave.
His mood was considerably lighter as he waited for his father.
Last night had been a nightmare. He had tossed and turned for hours, anxious.
The thought of facing Silas again had unsettled him.
What if his body and mind reacted aggressively toward Silas? He didn’t know how to explain it.
But now, he felt a mountain of worry had lifted from his shoulder.
"Let’s go."
Elina Palr pushed open the door.
"Your father is waiting downstairs."
Micah followed his mother out of the room with a spring in his step.
"You are that happy?"
Elina chuckled in amusent.
"Yeah, I was starting to think you had changed your surna to Mussolini, watching my every move like a hawk, breathing down my neck. I felt I could die from suffocation"
Micah took a jab at his mother.
"Good. Rember it. So you will think twice before drinking alcohol excessively again."
Elina lectured him sternly, not taking offence to his words.
"Sure. Sure... It was just one ti... you make it sound like I am an addict or sothing..."
Micah complained.
Elina just let out a sigh as she led the way downstairs.
Arriving ho, Micah smiled in satisfaction.
"Ah, ho sweet ho."
Aria, who had co to welco him, rolled her eyes.
"If soone hears you, they would think you were lost in the jungle or sothing for years, not just gone for two nights."
Aria said sarcastically.
Micah sighed dramatically.
"You don’t understand...The hospital bed was so uncomfortable as if I was lying on a rock, and don’t even get started on that overpowering disinfected sll..."
Aria made a disgusted face and mimicked gagging.
"Egh...Am I a girl or are you? Why are you complaining like a spoiled princess?!"
Micah stretched his hands wide and shrugged with smugness.
"What can I do? I am the beloved young master of the Ramsy family. I was raised with high standards."
"More like an arrogant prude..."
Aria snorted.
"Ah, don’t be jealous... I am sure your future husband will pamper you as much."
Micah chuckled, unbothered by her words. Instead, he raised his eyebrows teasingly.
Aria groaned, throwing her head back in frustration.
"Tsk... don’t remind ! Those sissy n buzzing around , all trying to beco the next Ramsy’s son-in-law... Ah... it’s just giving a headache."
Micah smiled and chose to stay silent.
In the book, the most fortunate character was Aria, who t her true love during Micah and Darcy’s birthday party.
The man was none other than Dean Du Pont, the nephew of the Du Pont family patriarch. If the Ramsy family ruled the high-tech industry, the Du Pont family had influence over everything else, real estate, pharmaceuticals, and mining.
Unfortunately, they were surprisingly low-key and quite traditional, often avoiding public events. Albert Ramsy had extended invitations nurous tis, hoping to establish connections, but they never accepted, until that one fateful birthday when Dean Du Pont showed up and t Aria.
It was one of the reasons Micah found the novel absurd. How could The Ramsy’s son-in-law be a Du Pont, and yet they remained re side characters compared to the so-called male leads?
Before he could dwell further on it, a voice interrupted.
"You two, co inside. Don’t stand at the doorway."
Jacob Ramsy called from up front.
The mont Micah stepped into the living room, his face lit up.
"Grandma!"
Seated gracefully on the couch was Zhou Ruyan, his grandmother. Most of the ti, she resided in the family’s countryside villa or remained in her private quarters.
Seeing her outside with the rest of the family, Micah was happy.
Zhou Ruyan, now in her sixties, had her white hair neatly tied back. The fine wrinkles around her eyes hinted at a lifeti of frequent smiles.
Though once a woman of boundless energy, her health had declined after giving birth to her youngest daughter, leaving her more fragile in her later years.
"Ah, my cute grandson. Co here. Let grandma take a look at you. I wanted to visit you at the hospital, but your grandpa wouldn’t let . Are you alright?"
Zhou Ruyan asked gently as she stretched out her arm.
Micah hurried over, sitting beside her as she brushed her finger gently on the small bandage on Micah’s temple.
Micah was glad that the nurse had replaced the long bandage with a circular dressing, making it less dramatic and easier for Micah to hide it beneath his snowy white hair.
"I am fine. I would have co ho sooner, but the doctors made a fuss, probably scared of the Ramsy na, they kept longer than necessary."
Micah said while grabbing her hand, and giving it a gentle squeeze.
Zhou Ruyan chuckled, patting his hand.
"That’s good to hear. Since I wasn’t around, I have decided to host a banquet to celebrate your recovery. What do you think?"
"No, no... why are you doing sothing like this? It’s tiring. I don’t want to bother my grandma."
Micah stiffened.
"Silly boy. Of course, I should do it. Especially after the all fuss that has been happening on social dia.."
"Uhum."
A forced cough interrupted Zhou Ruyan’s speech.
Elina coughed awkwardly.
"What fuss? What social dia?"
Micah asked puzzled.
"Nothing honey. Your grandma ant that our family and friends were worried about you going to the hospital." Elina said.
"Yeah, sure. Worried is a nice way of putting it. They roasted nonstop for two days."
Aria scoffed.
Micah frowned, still sceptical. They were hiding sothing from him.
Before he could press further, Jacob cleared His throat.
"Mother, do you need any help with the banquet arrangents?"
"No, I already spoke to my friend, Mrs Gu, about it. She will handle everything."
Zhou Ruyan shook her head as she said this.
Given Mrs Gu owned a luxurious event venue and managed a wedding and party planning business as a hobby, no one questioned further.
"Now, Micah, go rest in your room for a bit. The banquet is Tonight. And Your aunts and uncles will be as well."
Grandma Zhou said.
"Okay."
Micah nodded and stood up, heading toward the second floor, deep in thought.
In his bag, he had stored so samples from his family. He was troubled by how to go outside without raising suspicion. But now with an upcoming banquet, Micah was filled with confidence. He could claim he wanted to get a new suit or tie for the party and slip away.
Arriving in his room, he sat behind a desk, flipping open a notebook filled with scribbled notes from the book’s plot. He decided to revise all the information in the book again.
He needed to make a plan.
Those male leads should be dealt with soon.
Also, Darcy’s mother’s illness...
Micah pursed his lips.
He wanted to volunteer as a bone marrow donor. But anonymously.
Doing that also needed a foolproof plan.
