Micah stared at his screen, chin in hand, eyes slowly narrowing. Irritation filled his hazel eyes as he waited for a reply. He refreshed the chat for what felt like the tenth ti in five minutes.

But it never ca. His lips pulled into a pout of disbelief as he slumped back against the headboard. "Seriously? I just praise the guy. Why the hell am I being ghosted again?!?" he mumbled under his breath.

He scratched at his ssy hair, cursing those pretentious, moody Gongs.

After an hour of waiting, he shrugged his shoulders and switched to his second account, SugerPlumFairyIsLeo’sWife.

He couldn’t just sit around sulking. If Aidan didn’t reply, then fine. He would ignore him too.

The mont he entered the group chat, a barrage of pink heart emojis assaulted him.

There was nothing new in the fan group. Still waiting for Leo’s next move, or cursing his manager and Twilight Entertainnt.

On the other hand, big sister had sent dozens of ssages to him.

LoiNessQueen: How are you? Are you settled in the dorm?

LoiNessQueen: What about the military training? Don’t push yourself too hard. If anything feels too much, just withdraw, okay? The instructors go easy on girls. Especially beautiful ones!

Micah scratched his nose in embarrassnt. Did he play the girl role too well? Why did big sister treat him like so fragile porcelain?

LoiNessQueen: If you need anything, just tell . My cousin could help you run so errands.

SugerPlumFairyIsLeo’sWife: Thank you, big sister. You worry too much.

LoiNessQueen: Our nanny made so nutritious soups for my cousin, and I sent so for you, too.

Soup? Micah sat up straighter, nose twitching like a rabbit.

LoiNessQueen: Before you say no, I left it with the security guard at the north gate. Just go and say your WeChat ID, and he will give it to you.

Micah sighed in exasperation. How could he change into girls’ clothes here?! No wait, there was a more pressing issue here!

"What the hell? Say that out loud?!" Micah choked, his voice caught between horror and disbelief.

"Are you okay, man?" Nick asked, looking at him with worry.

"Sorry..sorry...." Micah waved a hand in apology.

Then he looked down at his screen again.

He, a grown-ass man, was going to the security kiosk and saying, ’please give the soup for SugerPlumFairyIsLeo’sWife?"

His entire should cringed imagining that!

Wouldn’t that give the security guard a heart attack?!

Micah regretted his choice of account na. At that ti, he was just trying to fit in with the fan group. Never thought he would have to say it aloud in a fan eting or now for a soup!

"Ah, my family sent homade food!" Emile’s voice rang in the room.

"How are you gonna get it? There is only like... ten minutes left to curfew." Eddie pointed out, half buried under his blanket.

Micah’s eyes lit up. What a coincidence. Maybe if he tagged along, he could check and see what big sister had sent.

"Let’s go. I know a shortcut." Micah said casually, already standing up.

Emile blinked. "Really? You sure?"

Micah nodded and headed toward the door. "Totally. We’ll be in and out like flash!"

Emile happily followed Micah, not knowing this young master was bad at directions when he was distracted.

The two jogged toward the north gate and finally arrived at the kiosk, panting.

Emile stepped forward and entered the kiosk, "Hello, my family sent so food," he said eagerly.

The security guard leaned back and asked, "What’s your na, fella?"

"Collins. Emile Collins."

The guard rummaged through the back and pulled a container. "Here you go. Your sister is really nice, bringing it this late for you."

"Thanks, I know," Emile said proudly, grabbing the container.

Micah, anwhile, glanced around the kiosk, eyes darting across boxes, searching for big sister’s container.

Emile was so excited that he grabbed the packaged container and left the kiosk.

Micah lingered.

"There is sothing else?" the security guard asked.

"Uh, yeah," Micah said impulsively. "I’m here to pick one up too... for my girlfriend," he lied.

The guard squinted. "Na?"

Micah swallowed hard. "SugerPlum...." he mumbled.

"Ha?"

Micah cleared his throat and said louder, face turning tomato red, "SugerPlumFairyIsLeo’sWife....It’s her WeChat ID! She is a big fan of Leo McKay."

The security guard chuckled. "Poor you. The boyfriend has no say..." he shook his head.

Micah forced a grin, wishing he could vanish into thin air, cursing his tongue for speaking before thinking.

Still, his stomach growled at the sll of warm broth wafting from the containers.

Except for what Darcy gave him at noon, he didn’t dare to touch anything. Now, after slling the homade food, he was tempted to try it.

The security guard gave it to him with a smile.

Micah bolted from the kiosk, noticing Emile standing up ahead. "Finally! We’ve got like three minutes left! Where is the shortcut?"

Micah jogged forward, totally distracted from the earlier embarrassnt. As a result, they found themselves stumbling upon the instructor giving an earful to another student for sneaking around.

The instructor turned, a sharp gaze landing on the two of them.

"Run!"

Micah grabbed Emile’s hand, and they ran with their might. When they finally burst through their dorm room door, the curfew bell rang sharply, announcing it was sleep ti.

The lights went off a second later.

Emile and Micah sat on the ground, breathless and covered in sweat.

"Holy crap!" Emile panted.

"Damn! I thought you two were a lost cause." Eddie said, flicking on his phone flashlight, aiming it at the pair.

"It was his fault!" Emile pointed at Micah. "He turned the wrong way!"

"Sorry, sorry... I got hungry, okay!" Micah laughed breathlessly.

"Eh, your family sent sothing too?!" Nick peeked over his blanket, seeing a container in his hand.

"Yeah..," Micah lied.

"At least have so before they start checking rooms," Nick said. "I lived in a dorm in my high school. I have experience."

Micah quickly put the container on his bed and opened the lid. The rich aroma of slow-cooked herbs and chicken hit his face. His mouth started watering just from the sll. He took a sip from the soup, feeling alive. "Umm..," he moaned.

Good thing the room was dark, otherwise they all would have noticed that the contents of the two containers were identical.
