FWOOSH!

Syris Kael's flas slamd into Charles with brutal force, engulfing him in a fiery whirlwind that lit the arena like a sun.

BAM!

The impact hurled him back, and Charles hit the ground with a Thud!, rolling several ters before stopping.

The rain intensified, pounding the arena, with distant thunder rumbling.

Rian's tunic, already in tatters, was fully ablaze, the fire licking his skin, leaving red and black marks that glowed under the lights.

Sizzle!

The stench of burnt flesh filled the air, and the crowd fell silent for a mont, so covering their mouths, others gasping in horror.

"He's seriously burning alive..."

"Syris has no rcy."

The announcer's voice rose, blending disbelief and drama to fuel the mont.

"Rian Cole takes a direct hit from Syris Kael!" he cried. "He couldn't dodge this ti! Is this the end?"

Charles lay in the sand, his body wreathed in flas.

"Argh...! Damn it!"

At first, the pain was unbearable, like his skin was lting under the heat.

BOOM!

A loud thunderclap echoed, and the rain grew heavier.

'Damn it!' Charles thought, gritting his teeth as he tried to stand.

But then... sothing shifted.

The fire still consud him, but the pain...

'What the hell?' he thought, confused.

He could see his skin charring—raw, red flesh on his arm, chest, and legs—but the agony faded, replaced by a strange numbness.

'What's happening to ?' he thought, heart racing. 'Is this... dying?'

BOOM!

Another massive thunderclap sounded, but few paid it mind.

From the stands, Kaira stepped forward, eyes wide.

'No!' she thought, breath catching. 'Rian's burning alive!'

Without thinking, she bolted toward the arena, determined to intervene.

'I've gotta put out those flas before it's too late!'

Her hands glowed red, ready to use her fire control to smother Syris's attack.

But before she could take another step, Lira grabbed her arm hard.

"Ouch!"

"Stop!" Lira growled, her voice trembling with panic.

Kaira spun, furious.

"Don't you see Rian could die?" she shouted, struggling to break free. "Let go, Lira!"

Lira tightened her grip, eyes locked on the arena.

"Look at his face!" she said, pointing at Rian with a sharp gesture.

Kaira followed her gaze, confused, and saw Charles, still on the ground, flas engulfing him.

But his expression...

'What?' Kaira thought, blinking.

There was no pain on Rian's face—just fierce determination. His blue eyes even seed to glow brighter.

'How's this possible?' Kaira thought, heart pounding. 'He's burning alive, but... he doesn't care.'

Charles, in the arena, panted, ignoring the flas still devouring what was left of his tunic and searing his flesh.

'No,' he thought, clenching his fists until his knuckles whitened. 'I'm not dying like this.'

He could hear the announcer in the background, gearing up to call the fight.

"Due to Rian's injuries, Syris Kael is..." As he spoke, the crowd roared—so cheering Syris with shouts of "Burn him!" while others muttered pity for Rian.

"That kid's luck ran out."

"That's what happens when a powerless guy plays hero."

'No,' Charles thought, forcing himself up.

Crack!

His knees shook, and the ankle pain stabbed, but it didn't matter.

'I'm not letting this end like this. Not without giving everything!' he thought, glaring at Syris, who watched, stunned.

'If this guy's going all-in with fire, I'll use my thing,' he decided. Charles felt that electric spark hum inside him.

He knew Lira had warned that revealing his power could an death. But if he didn't use it now, he'd die anyway.

Thud!

Charles took a step forward, then another, charging at Syris, body still ablaze.

The crowd erupted, unable to believe their eyes.

"What the—!? Rian Cole rises in flas!" the announcer shouted, voice cracking with excitent. "He's charging his opponent with everything! This is unheard of!"

"Ooh!"

"Let's go!"

"Go all out!"

"Is this guy insane!?"

So spectators stood, screaming, while others covered their eyes, horrified.

Syris, for the first ti, stepped back, eyes wide.

'Who the hell taught this guy to fight? Why won't he quit?' he thought, terrified.

It was the first ti he'd seen soone run at him while burning alive.

I an... 'Who the hell does that!?'

"Stay back!" Syris growled, raising his hands for a final attack.

FWOOSH!

The flas around him surged, forming a fiery whirlwind that lit the arena.

"This ends now!" he shouted, his voice trying for confidence but wavering.

Kaira, at the arena's edge, recognized the attack instantly.

'He's using that whirlwind again!' she thought, heart in her throat. 'If that hits Rian, it'll reduce him to ash!'

Without hesitation, she yanked free from Lira with a quick twist and leaped into the arena.

Clack!

"Stop right now, Syris!" Kaira shouted, sprinting toward them.

But before she could reach the center...

CRAACK!

A blinding lightning bolt struck the arena, its deafening roar shaking the stands.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The impact kicked up a cloud of dust and sand, the air buzzing with electricity.

The crowd fell silent, eyes wide, as the smoke slowly cleared.

Kaira, nearly at the center, felt a shock through her feet.

"Argh!"

She hit the ground with a Thud!, crying out as electricity surged through her legs.

'Damn it!' she thought, gasping.

But then she looked up, and what she saw stole her breath.

'Rian...!' she thought, blinking to clear her vision.

In the arena's center, Charles stood, body covered in burn marks but intact.

The flas that had engulfed him were gone, and a faint electric spark danced in his hands, barely visible.

Before him, Syris Kael lay unconscious, body smoldering, the sand around him scorched.

'What... what just happened?' Kaira thought, heart racing.
