Seeing the pot that was on fire suddenly flare up and turn into a huge flash of explosive flas, the chat was temporarily silent before blowing up.

- bomb?

- brooo, how did we go from a cooking show to an explosive science experint?

- What the heck did he throw in there? Dynamite?

- I’m begging soone to please go get an adult!

- The other streams have ended since they’re evacuating because of the fire alarm.

- Ari, please leave the room.

While the chat was panicking, the person they were urging to leave was instead standing there, pulling his mask down and licking the floating white particles falling on his lips.

[Oh, it’s sweet! I guess it’s powdered sugar, not salt? Cough cough.]

- Who cares if it’s sugar or salt! Get out!

- Your ears!

- Your wolf ears are on fire!

- This is a ss!

With absolutely no urgency in his steps, Ari walked over to the webcam.

[Let make sure to take the computer and tablet out. That way, the PD will be less mad at us. Where’s the plug?]

- Who the hell cares about the computer? Get out of the room!

- Take off those ears.

- No, but his face is so pretty

BANG!

Feeling as if they were screaming into the void, those watching finally felt vindicated as an entire door went flying in the background, and soone with a bright red cylindrical tube that couldn’t be mistaken for anything else pointed it at Ariel.

Wshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

White powder shot out of the fire extinguisher, aid directly at the person holding the webcam.

[Hey! What the he-]

[[You’re on fire.]]

Wshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Levi’s cold voice sounded out as he continually sprayed Ari from top to bottom with the fire extinguisher before using it to put out the pot turned fireball.

[cough cough achoo achoo]

As Ari began coughing and sneezing, he was once again covered from head to toe in white powder.

Watery green eyes stared at the webcam with a pitiful expression before Ari began shaking his entire body like a wet dog trying to dry off.

- finally it’s over.

- In the face, though?

- Oh, thank you Levi

- Please get out of that room.

- Aww, he looks like a miserable little cat

Just as the chat thought everything was over, the sprinklers went off, imdiately drenching the two boys as gallons of water sprayed down from the ceiling at a high velocity

The two of them stared at each other in silence before Ari grabbed the laptop and tablet, handed them off to Levi, and began running out of the room as gallons of water poured out.

As the shaky cara view pivoted from the ceiling to the walls and feet while the sound of the fire alarm constantly rang, the chat continued as people marveled at the strange string of coincidences.

- You’ve got to be kidding!

- What kind of cursed bad luck is this?

- Please never try to cook again

- Please go to a priest to cleanse your aura!

- So, is the mission considered a failure?

- bruh, they blew up a room. Of course it’s a failure!

Watching the whole incident from her computer, Grace had one thought now that it was clear that the two of them were safely evacuating.

Grandma, please.

We can never, ever, ever, ever let Ari near a kitchen.

The restaurant and the entire neighborhood might burn down.

As she prepared to turn off her computer, she was surprised to find that the live stream was still playing, and even though she couldn’t see, she could hear quite clearly the angry voice of a woman yelling while the sound of a firetruck alarm rang in the background.

[[I don’t understand how following a recipe and cooking turns into a fire, setting off the sprinklers, and ruining thousands of dollars of cara equipnt.]]

[It was an accident.]

Grace imdiately began paying attention as she heard Ari’s stuffy voice.

[[Ariel, Kate was gone for 5 minutes max, and you managed to try to burn the place down in that ti? Everyone else had the sa setup, and only you managed to do this? I don’t believe you.]]

[It’s the truth achoo. Can I go get a blanket? I told you I’m sick and my clothes are wet.]

[[Not until I’m done. Clearly, you’re taking your anger out on because you’re upset about our previous conversation and how we’ve been treating you, but this is going too far. Destruction of property? That’s low.]]

[And sabotaging isn’t? There’s a saying about a pot, a kettle, and the color black. Besides, this was literally a series of unfortunate events. A complete accident, not so intentional sabotage like we both know you’re doing.]

[[That’s just how it is. Soone has to get the short end of the stick, and it just so happens to be you. Regardless, if you want to believe that you didn’t do this on purpose, you might as well sell a lakefront property in the middle of the desert.]]

[Make sure you prepare your wallet PD, I’ll find an oasis with the biggest lake in the desert just for you. Also, why are you blaming ? I wasn’t even the person on the stove. In the survey, I said I couldn’t cook, and Levi said he’s banned from the kitchen in both his parents’ houses. They’re rich, so you know he’s done so major damage that even money can’t solve.]

[[[Hey!]]]

[Plus, what did you think was going to happen? Especially after he almost accidentally ended my blood line within the first 30 seconds, why would you leave us together?]

[[It was supposed to be a cute, fun exercise watching you struggle at a task to make you all look cute and wholeso. Everyone else was doing just fine, but you are always causing trouble and making a scene when things don’t go your way.]

[Because you keep letting people ss with unnecessarily. But like I said, this was a complete accident, and you should be blaming Levi. He was in charge of the stove.]

[[[I have sothing to say.]]]

[I’m not done talking to him and you’re next, Levi, so unless it’s about the burning building, just go stand to the side and wait until I’m finished. Even if you call all the family lawyers in the world, it won’t stop you from getting in trouble today!]

Levi glanced from PD Emily’s furious face to Ari, who quickly glanced from the laptop to his face, to the still glowing microphone attached to his shirt, before looking at the laptop in his hands that was still open to a website that said Live.

[[[Sure.]]]

Shrugging, he stood off to one side, keeping the laptop cracked and waiting for things to play out.

And after 10 minutes of unresolved scolding.

[[And what did you have to say, Levi?]]

[[[It’s still on.]]]

[[What is?]]

[[[The livestream.]]]

Levi raised the top half of the laptop to show her the screen while swinging the dangling webcam around to face the PD.

[[How long has it been on?]]

[[[The beginning.]]]

[[And you knew?]]

[[[Naturally.]]]

PD Emily looked between the two of them, took a deep breath, and walked away without looking back.

[[That’s rough.]]

A hand covered with white powder turned the webcam until a powder-crusted face with streaks of water running through it appeared.

The owner smiled cheekily, with his green eyes twinkling as he began to speak.

"Thank you all for watching this livestream, which was brought to you by Scary Spirit Halloween Costus, the number one costu store in the world, providing everything from basic to extravagant for your costuming needs, and CostCompany, providing everything from food ingredients to cookware. Levi, anything to add?"

The cara was turned so that a sharp-eyed boy wearing a now see-through white button-up shirt and golden dog ears on his head appeared.

Levi’s eyes flickered from the laptop screen to the back of the PD who was walking away, before his lips quirked up the tiniest bit.

"Shout out to the internet provider for maintaining excellent service and to Sunsamg computers for excellent battery life."

Hearing it, Ari laughed before echoing him, "Shout out to the internet provider and the computer maker. Bye viewers. Please watch the episode tomorrow."

With a happy wave, Ari ended the livestream before giving Levi two thumbs up in approval.

"I forgive you for trying to kill earlier. Great assist."

"You owe for not letting you burn to death. And it was obvious when you left the computer open."

"Jamie would have closed it or misinterpreted my look. Well, let’s just say we’re even. Phew, I am tired."

As Ari sat on the while watching the firefighters rush into the building-
