“How can you like sour foods?” Jian Yumin hastily denied. “You should like spicy foods! You must like spicy foods.”
“No no, I don’t want to eat spicy foods. Sour foods seem more refreshing for ,” Luo Xiuen replied with certainty. She knew what she liked to eat.
“No no! You must not like sour foods!” Jian Yumin said in a panicked voice.
“Why can’t I like sour foods?” Luo Xiuen asked. She was rather confused.
“My brother is right! You can’t like sour foods. You have to like spicy foods!” Jian Yujie echoed.
Jian Yuncheng said in a heavy tone: “There’s a saying that if a woman likes to eat sour foods during her pregnancy, she will give birth to a boy. On the other hand, if a woman likes to eat spicy foods during her pregnancy, she will give birth to a girl.”
“Huh?” Luo Xiuen exclaid with surprise. Then, she explained: “Nah it’s alright. There’s no scientific basis for that statent. And hence, there’s no real correlation between what you eat and the gender of a child. Either way, the baby in my belly is definitely a girl! I don’t want a boy! I’m surrounded by so many n already! I want a darling girl!”
“Ahh perhaps… But maybe it has so truth to it…” Jian Yumin replied. After a pause, he said: “Why don’t you mull over it a bit more? Maybe you’re actually craving spicy foods.”
“I…” Luo Xiuen said before she trailed off. “But I still want to eat sour foods…”
She couldn’t change what she was craving.
During their conversation, Jian Yiling already ordered dishes for Luo Xiuen.
“Don’t dwell on it, both are good,” Jian Yiling said.
“Yep! My sister is right. Don’t dwell on it too much. Even if it’s a boy, he’d still be cute!” Jian Yujie said quickly.
“Ahh, I guess,” Jian Yumin said. “Maybe my daughter has a unique taste in food.”
“Brother, if the baby is a son, he’d be sad,” Jian Yujie reminded.
Jian Yumin: “Well, if it’s a son Then, we will have another child!”
Jian Yumin was willing to accept a son.
“Who… Who wants to have another baby…” Luo Xiuen said as she blushed.
“Don’t you want a daughter?”
“I do… Want a daughter… But…” Luo Xiuen stuttered. But she didn’t agree to have another child with him…
“Well, if we have a few more children, we will definitely get a daughter,” Jian Yumin said with confidence.
“I didn’t… Didn’t say that I wanted to have more children…”
“You’re my wife. If I want a daughter, you’ll have to give birth to her, no? Who else would I ask?” Jian Yumin said. He acted as though justice was on his side and his logic was impeccable.
Upon hearing this, Jian Yujie rubbed his temple. Ahh… His brother needed so help. If it weren’t for the fact that his wife used to be his fan, his brother would probably be single forever!
Not long after, Jian Yiheng and Jian Yichen finally arrived.
“Yiling, do you miss ?” Jian Yichen asked as he squeezed beside Jian Yiling.
“I saw you this morning,” Jian Yiling replied.
How could she miss him if she saw him earlier today?
Jian Yujie said with jealousy: “Brother Yichen is quite cunning. Since you live across Yiling, you can see her whenever you want.”
Upon hearing this, Jian Yichen replied gleefully: “Hey kiddo, if you complint , I will consider renting you the vacant room in my apartnt.”
Jian Yujie: “I’m not a kiddo. I’m already twenty years old.”
Jian Yichen: “Well, in the eyes of your brothers, you’re always a kiddo.”
When he heard this, Jian Yujie couldn’t help but mutter things in his heart. He knew that whenever his brothers were here, he wouldn’t steal his sister’s attention.
However, Jian Yujie did not realize that the man seated across from him had less presence than him.
