Chapter 363: Finding Excuses to Visit the Old Jian Residence

“You silly old woman, if our darling takes her college entrance exams ahead of ti, she will have to go to university afterward! If she wants to attend a really good university, wouldn’t she have to go to another city?”

“Oh, that’s true!” Grandma Jian suddenly realized.

That was a big deal!

Jian Yiling was studying locally for high school, however, she wouldn’t necessarily study locally for university!

Initially, there would be still two and a half years before Jian Yiling went to university. However, that ti fra had suddenly been shortened to six months!

Grandpa Jian continued to mutter unhappily: “And you’re still asking why I’ve been unhappy? She hasn’t even stayed with us for a long ti. And now, she’s going to leave so soon. Why would you be happy about this?”

After realizing this, Grandma Jian was indeed not happy anymore.

Then, Grandpa Jian suggested to Grandma Jian: “Hey, old woman, why don’t you suggest to Yiling to study at a local university? I think Hengyuan University is not bad. It’s one of the best universities around here.”

“No, no. You’re being unreasonable. She’s grown up already. You can’t restrain her like that.”

Grandma Jian was determined to not do this.

She didn’t want to keep her darling to herself. She wanted to support her granddaughter to do what she wanted to do. She didn’t want to hold Yiling back.

As Grandma Jian and Grandpa Jian argued about Yiling’s future, Wen Nuan and Jian Yuncheng arrived at the Old Jian Residence.

Grandma Jian said in a bad mood: “Can you guys stop coming over as soon as sothing happens? The excuses that you guys are finding are terrible.”

As her motive got exposed by Grandma Jian, Wen Nuan retorted in a quiet voice: “Then why don’t you let us take Yiling back ho? We won’t have to find excuses to co to the Old Jian Residence anymore.”

Wen Nuan felt a bit upset. However, she didn’t have much confidence in her words.

“No! That won’t do! Since ancient tis, it’s hard for a girl to co back once she’s been sent out of the house!” Grandma Jian replied with an unfriendly tone. Despite this, she still cared inside.

Either way, she wouldn’t listen to their suggestion! They couldn’t take Yiling away from her! Her darling had said that she wanted to stay with her!

“It’s still the Jian household though,” Wen Nuan said in a hurry.

Grandma Jian turned her head to speak to Grandpa Jian: “Grandpa Jian, our family has already split up, right? Our sons have all gone to live in their own hos, haven’t they? Doesn’t that an that we’re not in the sa family anymore?”

“Yeah, we’ve split. We have nothing to do with them anymore.”

Grandpa Jian waved his hand and had an expression of disdain on his face.

Then, Grandma Jian added: “Besides, Yiling said that she’s willing to live with us. It’s useless for you to say anything else.”

The old couple who had just been arguing about their darling’s future were now united against the ‘outsiders’.

“But you’re still my parents-in-law. That ans I can co back to visit you right? Can’t I bring my other children to your house? There’s no rule that says that I, as a daughter-in-law, can’t visit every day right?”

Wen Nuan started to act shalessly as well.

Even if she couldn’t take Jian Yiling away with her, Wen Nuan refused to leave easily with just a few words from Grandma and Grandpa Jian.

She had found a good excuse today. And thus, she was determined to have dinner with her daughter before she went ho.

Furthermore, she would find excuses to visit, tomorrow, the day after, and the day after that as well.

Nowadays, they felt that their daughter was becoming more and more distant from them. She had her own social circles that were completely separate from theirs.

The news of Jian Yiling’s involvent with the Huiling dical Research Institution and Dr. F.S. ant that their daughter was quite capable and had good future prospects. However, at the sa ti, this ant that their daughter had beco independent on her own.

The distance between them and her was growing.

If they didn’t visit the Old Jian Residence more often, they might not have the chance to be close to their daughter in the future.

Wen Nuan felt incredibly sad as she thought about this.
