Chapter 1204: I’m Jealous
Jian Yunmo paused for a mont and asked Jian Yiling: “Yiling, you spend most of your days with Zhai Yunsheng. You don’t spend as much ti with your family mbers anymore. Do you want to consider bringing soone from the Jian family to the team building event on the weekends?”
As the room was quiet and Zhai Yunsheng was close to Jian Yiling, he could hear every single word Jian Yunmo said.
Despite this, Zhai Yunsheng did not say anything. He patiently waited for Jian Yiling’s response.
After hearing this, Jian Yiling thought about it for a mont. She did not say no to Jian Yunmo’s suggestion. Instead, she asked: “Brother Yunmo, who should I bring with ?”
When Jian Yiling ran into a situation she didn’t know the answer to, she would typically ask Jian Yunmo for help. She wanted him to help her choose.
However, in this situation, Jian Yunmo did not have an answer either. If he made a decision, the rest of the Jian brothers who didn’t get to go would definitely want to beat him up.
“Why don’t you ask for Zhai Yunsheng’s opinion?”
Jian Yunmo was only responsible for asking Jian Yiling. This was the task given to him by his parents and brothers. However, he wasn’t responsible for the overall outco.
And thus, in such a situation, it was best to kick the ball to Zhai Yunsheng.
Jian Yiling turned her head to look at Zhai Yunsheng. She looked like a little kitten.
Zhai Yunsheng replied: “There are so many brothers in the Jian family. You shouldn’t favor one over the other. I don’t think it’s suitable to pick one of them to bring along.”
This was a very valid reason.
“Then who should I bring?” Jian Yiling asked in a soft voice.
“Why don’t you think about it?’ Zhai Yunsheng replied. He wanted Jian Yiling to reach the answer by herself.
After thinking about it for a mont, Jian Yiling found the perfect answer. “Sister En.”
She explained the rationale behind her answer: “I have a lot of brothers but I only have one sister-in-law.”
Furthermore, Luo Xiuen was also around the sa age as her. As her only sister-in-law, her status in the Jian family could not be questioned.
Making such a decision fulfilled Jian Yunmo’s request of bringing soone from the Jian family. At the sa ti, she wouldn’t be favoring one Jian brother over another.
It was the perfect answer.
Zhai Yunsheng: “...”
Upon hearing Jian Yiling’s answer, Jian Yunmo began to laugh as well. His laughter was refreshing and lodious.
“Alright, go and inform your sister-in-law about this. I’m sure she will be very happy to accompany you to the team building event.”
“Mhmm.”
And thus, Jian Yiling sent a ssage to Luo Xiuen asking her whether she wanted to accompany her to the event on the weekends.
Then, she thought about her nephew. She instantly added the ssage: [You can bring your son as well.]
This situation was akin to when the fisherman takes advantage of the fight between the snipe and the clam.
Luo Xiuen never thought that Jian Yiling would invite her to such an event. In her mind, there were so many people that would be invited instead of her.
Luo Xiuen laughed and replied to Jian Yiling’s ssage: [Of course I have ti. I won’t bring my son along. I will leave him to his father and the nanny. It’s not like our family can’t afford to hire a nanny or sothing.]
After she sent the ssage, Jian Yiling turned around. She noticed that Zhai Yunsheng was staring at her.
“What’s wrong?” Jian Yiling asked.
“Am I not worth ntioning?”
“Huh?” Jian Yiling responded. Confusion filled her face. She did not understand what Zhai Yunsheng ant.
“Why didn’t you tell your brother that you wanted to bring along?” Zhai Yunsheng asked.
“But Brother Yunmo asked to bring a family mber…”
“Do you have to listen to him? Am I not part of your family?”
“But… Brother Yunmo said to bring soone from the Jian family,” Jian Yiling attempted to reason with Zhai Yunsheng.
“Who is more important to you, or Brother Yunmo?” Zhai Yunsheng questioned.
Jian Yiling did not know how to answer this question.
“Are you… Upset?” Jian Yiling asked cautiously.
She didn’t understand what was happening.
“Hmph,” Zhai Yunsheng said as he suddenly lowered his head to kiss Jian Yiling.
