All the doctors would co to the hospital’s largest conference room.
The person presiding over the eting was Li Zhuojia, the Dean of Lahaisen Hospital’s Beijing branch.
In the first half of the eting, each departnt would report their work and give a summary of what happened and what was happening.
On the other hand, the second half of the eting was used for discussion.
Unlike other hospitals, the workload at Lahaisen Hospital was not that packed and intensive. This ant that there was sufficient ti for the doctors to do research and learn.
When the eting was about to end, a colleague suddenly asked Li Zhuojia: “Vice Dean, Jian Yiling is from Lahaisen Hospital’s headquarters. Is she now part of our branch?”
If she was now part of the Beijing branch, in so sense, it would be a demotion.
Li Zhuojia paused for a mont before he swept his eyes over everyone seated in the room. Then, his eyes fell on Jian Yiling: “Well, that depends on what she wants.”
After everyone heard Li Zhuojia’s words, they imdiately understood that Jian Yiling’s position in Lahaisen Hospital’s headquarters was not touched.
However, that was understandable. After Grandpa Li’s surgery, everyone knew about Jian Yiling’s dical expertise. They knew why she was a doctor from the headquarters and why Fei Qing could only be a doctor from the Beijing branch.
Even though they were both outstanding surgeons, there was still a gap between them.
So people subconsciously directed their attention to Fei Qing.
When she sensed the gazes of everyone around her, Fei Qing’s face stiffened. She did not dare to look up at everyone else.
Near the end of the eting, Li Zhuojia announced: “Finally, I want to make an announcent.”
Li Zhuojia’s tone was serious. When everyone heard him speak like this, they knew that the final announcent was important.
And thus, they all looked toward him.
“Our hospital decided that Fei Qing will no longer be the chief physician of our surgical departnt. She will now be demoted to a general surgeon,” Li Zhuojia announced.
As soon as this was said, the entire conference room went silent.
Everyone looked toward Fei Qing.
Fei Qing sat frozen in place.
Her ears were buzzing and it seed as though everyone was mocking her.
Soone asked: “Vice Dean, who will replace her then?”
To so degree, everyone thought that Jian Yiling was going to be taking Fei Qing’s spot.
“For the ti being, it’s not yet determined. I will conduct an assessnt next month and then decide,” Li Zhuojia replied. “Dr. Fei can choose to participate in the assessnt. If Dr. Fei excels and proves that she has the ability to continue being the chief physician of the surgical departnt, then she will be promoted back to her original role.”
Even though Li Zhuojia said that it was not yet determined, everyone felt that Jian Yiling had a higher probability of becoming the chief physician of the surgical departnt.
After the eting ended, the colleagues began texting in their WeChat groups. They were discussing next month’s assessnt.
[Everyone needs to work hard for next month’s assessnt. Even though Jian Yiling’s incredible, we all still have a chance!]
