The status screen appeared before him as Silas headed to a random corner of the fort, away from prying eyes, to check it out.

"Now let's see... that should have leveled up, right?"

Silas inspected his status, but nothing seed to have changed—his stats and skills remained exactly the sa.

I wonder where the EXP I earned went...

Before Silas could close the screen in disappointnt, another panel popped up:

[Invest EXP in Stats or Skills?]

Silas raised an eyebrow, the system feeling familiar to him.

"Ohhh... that's right. The ga didn't progress with levels but with EXP alone."

He laughed to himself, clicking on the stats option without hesitation.

"I'm already well-off with my combustion rune. No need to increase it for now."

Silas smiled at the improvents. It might be small, but it was sothing.

As he tried closing the status screen again, another notification popped up:

[Pick Class Specialization]

-Mage

-Fighter

-Tank

-Healer

-Assassin

-Necromancer

-Archer

-Etc...

Silas read through the list, a slight smile tugging at his lips when he saw "Assassin." It was familiar, sothing he was already comfortable with. Versatile, deadly—no need to pick it again.

He thought carefully about the best option, weighing the pros and cons of each class. Eventually, he settled on Necromancer—a choice made more because of how cool it sounded than any strategic advantage.

A Necromancer is badass as hell. Can't just ignore it.

Silas let out a breath of satisfaction before finally closing the status screen, relieved that no more notifications popped up.

He stood up, planning to ask Dwayne if they'd set up any sleeping quarters in their newly fortified camp.

But as he walked back into the center—now bustling with delinquents chatting rrily after a successful first day—a huge roar echoed from outside the walls.

"The boss monster is here!"

Dwayne shouted, propelling himself into the air using bursts of fire magic.

"It's a wolf lord!" soone else shouted.

Imdiately, the atmosphere shifted—the delinquents' faces hardened into serious expressions.

One of them chuckled, seemingly unfazed.

"Hope I don't get my arm bitten off again."

Silas blinked, caught between disbelief and amusent.

Did that kid just say he got his arm bitten off?

Dwayne soared over the fort, planning to face the boss monster alone while the others supported him with spells. As he descended back to the ground, the flas surrounding him burned hotter and brighter than before.

"Sa as usual, boys!"

He shouted to the other delinquents, who already seed well-accustod to the routine.

Silas chuckled, stepping back a few paces from the wall.

Then, with a burst of montum, he sprinted forward, running briefly along the wooden surface before grabbing the top and vaulting himself over to the other side.

"Can I join in?"

Silas called out, landing smoothly.

Dwayne turned his head, laughing at Silas' complete lack of fear.

"If you were anyone else, I would've thrown you straight back inside! But you seem capable enough!"

Dwayne said with a grin, before flicking his head back toward the approaching wolf lord. The amulet hanging around his neck pulsed faintly, glowing with an ominous light.

Silas's eyes lingered on it, curiosity piqued.

So magical artifacts can be made from beasts here, huh?

Before he could ponder it further, the wolf lord let out a deafening howl—and from the shadows, three wolf packs erged, charging toward Dwayne and Silas.

Silas chuckled nervously, but his blood was pumping with excitent at the prospect of another battle.

"Hope all that stat investing topped off my mana!"

He shouted—more to hype himself up than actually expecting an answer.

"Combustion Rune!"

Mana surged through him—but instead of forming a tight sphere of air in his palm like before, Silas tried sothing new.

This ti, he coated his entire arm with compressed air, forging a technique more suited to his assassin instincts.

"Explosive Fists!"

He roared, unleashing a brand-new fighting style.

In the sa instant, the Novice Robe of Necromancy shimred into existence, wrapping around his uniform like a second skin—its dark fabric pulsing faintly with an eerie, living magic.
