"He’s an anomaly, indeed. In the first place, Blood Knights are known to use weapons with various sizes. He didn’t even have your innate demonic martial arts. It’ll be too obvious."

The Commander looked at him with eyes seemingly conveying he was smirking and said, "The Blood Knights under the Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows are learning hand-to-hand martial arts known as Boxing.

He introduced it and has exploded in popularity, not only in the Velmoryss City but others, as well."

The Abyssal Scribe glanced at Myles in awe and said, "As expected of you. In the first place, your disposition caught my attention.

So, that’s why the Mistress had chosen you as her knight and the Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows rewarded you with this light armor, you really deserve it."

Myles smiled brightly... but it was already hidden from the helt.

Though, he said, "Thank you."

The Abyssal Scribe nodded with pleasure, turned towards the Commander and said, "I see, so he will fight without a weapon. Though, you should teach him with your demonic martial arts."

The Commander nodded. "I intended to."

Myles was surprised. He turned towards the Commander, but the latter didn’t even explain.

The Commander said to the Abyssal Scribe, "We will take our leave now. Thank you for completing the armor just in ti."

The Abyssal Scribe rolled his eyes and uttered under his breath, "Seems like you are doubting ."

The Commander turned around and didn’t bother rebuking what he heard.

Myles thanked the Abyssal Scribe for the last ti, earning his affections and increasing his mood.

Myles then followed the Commander on the Royal Carriage as they set off on their journey towards Noctyriss City.

...

Soon, they left Velmoryss City and entered through the forest. Along the way, not a single living thing dared to obstruct the royal carriage.

Myles was also surprised the royal carriage wasn’t bouncing from the uneven terrain at all. It appeared it was floating.

Myles actually didn’t have to do anything. The horses knew the direction and the Commander was also just grabbing the reign.

Suddenly, the Commander grabbed Myles’ arm as they jumped from their box seat and swiftly ran through the forest.

Myles simply played along with the Commander, until they finally landed in an open space.

The Commander threw Myles and the latter imdiately gained his footing before stumbling on the floor.

The Commander nodded in approval on Myles’ reflex and said, "You might already have an idea. I will teach you our demonic martial arts."

Myles tilted his head sideways, confused, and asked, "How? In the first place, we do not belong in the sa race. Is it because of this armor?"

The Commander shook his head. "You’re right, we don’t belong in the sa race. However, we can influence your law affinity."

He raised his hand and the ring on his finger, covered with gloves of his armor, shone with red light.

A vial bottle appeared on his palm.

Myles was intrigued.

The Commander said, "This is called Sanguis Juris Vial. A Rank D Tier 2 artifact. It is a sealed blood containing condensed law of blood fragnts, a marrow extract of a blood knight, velour ruby blood-echo crystals, and spirit-bound runic arrays inside the glass."

The Commander stared at Myles with a narrowed gaze. "This is not just blood. This is a liquid jurisdiction."

Myles nodded. "I get it. I have to drink it."

The Commander nodded. "You didn’t even hesitate to assu that you deserve to drink this."

"I will also have to pass the ssage of Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows to you."

"Go ahead."

The Commander coughed and said in a feminine voice, "You deserve this reward. Not only because you are the knight of my daughter, but because of the boxing martial arts you’ve introduced, gaining a lot of inco for the city. The city arena has also beco an attraction that I have to expand it."

The Commander’s voice then turned serious but still feminine.

"Don’t disappoint ."

Myles was speechless.

He coughed. "You don’t even have to act like her."

The Commander said with his normal voice, "Also, she asked if I could teach her our demonic martial arts to you and I don’t mind."

Myles nodded. "Thank you."

"You’re welco. The demonic martial arts I will teach you is called Crimson Phantom Steps. It consists of four steps, and it will take a while to master them. At the very least, you have to learn four steps before I return to the city."

Myles asked, "Much faster before the royal carriage catches up to us?"

The Commander chuckled. "Depending on your comprehension ability."

He suddenly appeared in front of Myles, causing the latter to be surprised. He handed the vial to Myles and said, "Drink this first."

Myles nodded. He glanced at the vial and took out the seal above. The scent of rusty blood entered his nostrils and it was actually not repulsive.

Myles adjusted his helt, revealing his mouth, and drank the blood.

The blood was actually cooling in his throat and it tasted quite sweet.

Did I beco a vampire? Myles thought.

At the sa ti, the voice in his head echoed.

Myles was surprised. However, he was soon distracted from his demonic core, seemingly restless.

Before the stomach could digest the blood, the demonic core stole it, seemingly becoming intangible, passing through Myles’ organs, and instantly devouring the blood.

When it was strangely chewing the blood, his demonic energy slowly changed. It seed it has resonated with his blood more than before—after gaining the innate skill, Crimson Dominion.
