The Alpha was enraged. He glanced at the imp who was disturbing others and walked imposingly towards him.

The earth quivered, his chest heaved up and high, and his long barbed tail swayed around, hitting the walls harder than slaves’ axes.

The imp panicked, staring at his friend, who lost his mind.

"Kin! Kin! Kin! The Alpha is angry! Stop now! You’ll die."

However, Myles was careless.

He could not help but explode in a hoot of laughter.

I really thought that was the end. That my hard work to materialize into the reality of becoming above after below soone was put to an end by a bullet.

"Do you want to end your life now?! Kin, stop!"

Myles was startled awake.

He frowned and glanced at the imp.

"What are you screaming around for?"

"I should be the one asking that to you." A deep, rough voice echoed beside him.

He turned around and tilted his head upward just to see the other side’s face.

Myles gulped.

Damn, he’s huge.

"I should set you as an example."

Myles felt a sharp object struck the back of his head, instantly losing his consciousness.

The imp beside him wanted to shout but covered his mouth just in ti.

His eyes welled in tears, helplessly watching his friend being taken away by the Alpha’s barbed tail.

The Alpha raised Myles high with his barbed tail and turned around.

He shouted. "Obnoxious worms will be taken out and sent to Mistress Veil. I’m pretty sure everyone is aware of the fate of those who were sent to her, am I wrong?"

They shivered in terror as they nodded their heads frantically.

Mistress Veil was the only daughter of the Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows.

As a succubus, they were known for their skills Charm and Energy Absorption. They suck dry the other demons with their energy absorption to evolve through the demon ranks.

It was exactly the reason they belonged to a noble race.

They glanced at the unconscious fellow imp in pity. In fact, the mont the Alpha laid his attention to him earlier when he fainted, they would not be surprised if he had already chosen him as among the batch to be sent to Mistress Veil today.

Myles’ eyelids quivered and slowly parted ways like a curtain. His eyes regained clarity and all he saw was a ceiling.

Hmm? Did I return to earth? Was my death just a dream?

He sighed.

Myles bent his right knee and rested his right arm atop. He ruminated about his current circumstances.

I deliberately provoked that guy to escape from this place. I did risk my life but there’s no way they’ll kill a slave over sothing as trivial as laughing. I thought they would just set free or sell to a noble as their slave, that would definitely be better.

From my circumstances, it might be the latter. Although better, the situation might not be good depending on how my new owner will treat .

He was currently alone in the room, so he grabbed the chance to understand his situation better.
