"Chief, what should we do now?" the police chief under his command asked.

All of them turned their gazes over, hoping to receive Stephen's instructions.

"I fucking have no idea what to do?" Stephen really wanted to say this, but his position made it impossible for him to say such a thing.

"Send ssages to the Governor, then send ssages to our President! Let them know about this matter!"

Of course he wouldn't choose to hide this from higher-ups—this wasn't so angel or benevolent spirit that could be dealt with easily. Judging from the splitting and burning staff mber earlier, this man nad Remus was at minimum of the chaotic evil type!

Then, Stephen continued issuing commands, "Aren't there patrol teams already at the scene? Have our technicians connect to the Departnt of Veterans Affairs system and see if we can establish dialogue with him first!"

"If he wants money, we can give him money! As long as we can communicate, everything is negotiable!"

If this man could be reasoned with, no matter the situation, they could discuss it—whatever he needed, they could provide!

Although Remus might have been worthless before, now, even if he demanded one hundred million dollars, Stephen felt this was sothing that could be discussed.

This was a Superhuman after all! If they could stabilize him, what was money?

Thus, during Remus's ascent up the building, he heard the loudspeaker voice coming through the surveillance caras, "Mr. Remus, please remain calm! Perhaps we can talk!"

Hearing these words, Remus lifted his head, looked at the cara before him, and a mocking expression appeared on his face.

"Now? What is there left to talk about?" he said. "When I ca here leaning on my crutches to demand my pension, why didn't anyone co to talk with then?"

"When they threw out, why didn't anyone co to talk with then?"

"When they hired people to kill on the roadside, why didn't anyone co to talk with then?"

"Now that I've returned from hell and started killing people here, you want to talk with ? Where were you all earlier?"

Hearing this, the entire conference room fell into silence. Of course they had nothing to say—they couldn't even threaten this man.

Because he stood completely alone—both parents deceased, no children, distant relatives, and his wife was actually a bitch who swindled all his compensation money!

In this country, this man was actually untouchable!

"Then what exactly do you want?" Stephen asked. "If you want money, we can help provide it! If you want other things, we can give you those too!"

"I want these parasites who feast on soldiers' life-saving money to vomit it out one by one and face judgnt!" Remus said coldly. "Can you accomplish that?"

No response. Complete silence filled the microphone.

This of course was impossible. With hundreds of thousands of employees in the Departnt of Veterans Affairs, nobody knew how many had taken money.

But this certainly wasn't a small amount, and it involved various companies, banks, hospitals, and those high-and-mighty congressn.

Pulling these people out for judgnt? Forget about them—even that Blond Guy up top might take a major fall! Of course they couldn't promise this!

"Hmph!" Remus sneered coldly. "Since you can't do it, I'll do it myself!"

He walked into the office before him, where Wells Harden, the director of the Veterans Affairs Manhattan Branch, was happily listening to music and working diligently!

This fat man was still signing so orders, transferring money originally allocated to disabled soldiers' accounts into his own account.

Then he was lifted up by a single hand, his obese body hoisted like a duck by Remus and smashed heavily onto the ground.

"What the f— damn it, what's happening?" Our Director Wells clearly hadn't received any information yet, and those fleeing employees hadn't bothered to call him either.

So he looked sowhat bewildered at the brawny man before him, unable to resist shouting, "Who are you? How did you get in here? Security!"

He simultaneously pressed the alarm button on his desk while warning the other, "The police will be here imdiately! I advise you not to do anything extre..."

Remus of course wouldn't listen to him. He stared into Wells's eyes and said coldly, "How much money belonging to veterans did you take?"

Hearing this question, Wells imdiately responded, "None! I haven't taken a single cent! But the bureau truly has no money right now. If you want so, I'll try to squeeze so out and give it to you tomorrow, how about that?"

He picked up the pen and paper beside him, "Tell your na, and I'll transfer it to you tomorrow!"

Wells's inner thoughts were simple: This guy actually ca to my office? How damned audacious!

Asking for the na was to identify the other party—as long as he could escape from here, he wouldn't even need to wait until tomorrow before using his power and influence to kill the other's entire family!

While thinking this, Wells stared at the unfamiliar man with dark eyes, yet still maintained a beaming smile as he said, "I've always tried to give you all the greatest convenience! Don't worry, I swear to God, everything will be provided!"

His sincere deanor, that seemingly flawless performance, had even fooled those people during many confrontations with veterans, making them believe Director Wells was innocent, and that the main issues were federal inaction and subordinate corruption.

But Remus wasn't like those people. Although the ability Baphot granted him couldn't provide complete mind-reading, the most basic lie detection could be easily accomplished!

Therefore, Remus reached out and, under the other's astonished gaze, plucked off one of Wells's legs.

Yes, exactly "plucked"!

Without any warning or movent, even without any sound, Wells's left leg left his own body and ca into Remus's hand.

And where his leg was severed, a wisp of black fla slowly burned, helping to sear that "gap" into a complete fleshy sphere.

"You're lying!" Remus said, igniting the leg in his hand, and slowly burning it to ashes before Wells's eyes...

He held it like a torch, burning the other's limb!

During the ti he perford this action, neither Wells nor the viewers in the police station spoke.

They only felt their heads buzz, as if witnessing sothing beyond their comprehension.

After all, Remus's action was sowhat too far beyond their imagination!

Where would normal people ever conceive of such a thing?

Typical interrogation involved torture and harsh punishnt—cutting off hands or feet existed too, which wasn't particularly unusual.

But at this mont, Wells didn't even scream in pain before having his leg plucked off!

Not just plucked off, but ignited too! With black fire nonetheless!

How utterly bizarre was this? Their sanity points were about to hit zero!

And compared to those rely watching through projections, the most terrified was undoubtedly Wells himself. He didn't even know what happened before being captured.

Originally thinking he could maneuver a bit with smooth talking, he never expected this "demon" would directly remove his leg!

Fear penetrated deep into Wells's marrow, preventing him from uttering any threats, only endless terror visible in his eyes: "Just who are you... you demon!"

"I truly am a demon—just one who's co for revenge against you all!"

"I'll ask again—how much veterans' money did you take?"

As Remus spoke, he placed his hand on Wells's second leg, while his gaze drifted to the nearly consud leg, the implication perfectly clear!

Whether at the scene or in the conference room, everyone now felt nothing but chills running down their spines!

...

Bai Yang stood to the side, watching Remus's performance, observing the incompetence of the police leadership, and similarly watching the surrounding police outside, those bystanders who enjoyed watching trouble unfold, and various reporters who discovered sothing happening here and were rapidly converging!

"Angels can deliver Judgnt, but who's to say demons can't conduct trials?" Bai Yang said with a smile.

Wish Force was being rapidly collected within his Divine Spark.
