"How many?" Even soone like Prince Harry was completely stunned upon hearing this news.

"Over a hundred!" Prince Edward replied. "And based on estimates, the amount of Deceased People won't decrease anyti soon; it will only continue to rise! Yet we are completely unprepared for this crisis!"

"This is only the beginning, just as Cuchulainn said!" Harry's words made Prince Edward flinch violently.

"The beginning? Is this nation truly dood to be destroyed?"

"I don't know. It's just like how none of you ever told the true nature of this Realm, that it was brimming with Sin! And now, those Deceased People have returned to seek vengeance!"

Harry finally understood. He understood completely. He knew the origin of this crisis and the true aning behind Cuchulainn's words!

With the return of Transcendence, if Deities could return, why couldn't Monsters return as well?

The power possessed by these Deceased People certainly didn't seem weak. It was enough to make a Mythological Hero completely abandon his own quest for revenge, rely waiting for them to et their own Death!

"Right now, the only viable option is to locate the Otherworld, find Avalon, and seek the aid of the nymphs, Fairies, Elves, and even the Gods!"

"After all, this land isn't solely inhabited by Sinners; there are plenty of innocent people too. Surely, they would be willing to intervene for the sake of the innocent!"

Harry's mind had cleared up considerably. He rembered Cuchulainn's words—what might have been a casual remark had now beco their only Expectation and source of reliance!

"In other words, you want to gamble on the rcy of Deities?" Edward asked.

"What else can we do? Are we supposed to flee this Realm like stray dogs, just like those exiled Royal Families?" Harry countered.

"This is our Realm, Uncle. I carry the Bloodline of nearly everyone on this continent. Perhaps I should give it a try!"

After eting Cuchulainn, Harry seed to have developed his own ideas. He felt he shouldn't just live his life in a daze, nor should he fight tooth and nail for the so-called throne.

He should try to grasp Transcendence, to explore the Civilization hidden within his Bloodline. It had to be far better than the filthy Evil coursing through the other half of his veins!

"Then go! The Royal Family definitely cannot leave. If the Royal Family flees, this country is truly dood!" Edward declared.

As the most prideful Royal Family in the world, their family certainly couldn't just run away. Looking at it this way, Harry searching for a solution might actually be a good thing.

...

anwhile, at Scotland Yard, London's Police Director Oliver was under so much pressure that his bald head was constantly slick with sweat, never getting a chance to dry.

After all, the ceaseless blare of alarms continued to ring in his ears even now.

"Sir, the one hundred and forty-second homicide!"

"Sir, another alarm! This ti Lord Weir's Family plunged into the river. We are unsure if it counts as a homicide!"

"Sir, we are at one hundred and forty-five!"

Standing before Oliver, both King Charles and Pri Minister Sunak were rendered sowhat speechless.

They had initially barged in aggressively to give the Police a hard ti, demanding to know exactly how they were supposed to be protecting "important national figures."

But now, the situation unfolding before their eyes proved that these weren't isolated incidents, but rather a widespread phenonon!

"Director Oliver, let the others handle these matters for now. We need more detailed information!" Sunak finally spoke up.

The chubby Director then picked up the docunts in his hands and followed the two most powerful figures in the country into the conference room.

This was London. The most powerful people were naturally the King and the Pri Minister. As for the Mayor? He ranked sowhere around thirtieth; regardless, he wasn't qualified to step foot in here.

"I want to know, how exactly are they dying?" Sunak's first question made Oliver visibly nervous.

"Your Excellency the Pri Minister, His Majesty the King, this matter is highly complex!" Being a seasoned bureaucrat, his first instinct was to use bureaucratic jargon, but Sunak imdiately cut him off.

"If you try to stall for ti in front of us, you will be replaced imdiately! Or perhaps I should give you a new position as a Legislator?"

That single sentence made the chubby Police Director tremble all over. Since the majority of the victims were Legislators, many were already speculating that these politicians were being targeted for their sheer lack of morality. Threatening to make him a Legislator was no different from demanding his life!

Oliver instantly behaved, hastily explaining, "It's not that I don't want to say, but their thod of Death is simply too bizarre! They don't look like they died normally, yet they are unequivocally dead!"

As he spoke, he handed over two sheets of paper, allowing the two n to see the images of two victims.

Both victims were new Legislators who had recently been making waves in parliant. The King and the Pri Minister recognized them.

But it was precisely because they recognized them that they felt a sense of Fear; they had t their ends in horrifying ways.

One of them was entirely emaciated, as if he hadn't eaten in ages, collapsing on the ground like a mummified Corpse.

The other man was completely bloated, as though he had been soaking in Water for a long ti, swelling into a grotesque, giant-like state.

"Their Deaths occurred in broad daylight, under the watchful eyes of the public. Now, the news of their demise is spreading all over the dark web. And it's not just them; many others have died in exactly the sa manner!"

"Perhaps this isn't murder, but rather a curse and a form of vengeance! This is the most accurate conclusion we currently have!"

Hearing Oliver's words, Charles asked in confusion, "Vengeance? From whom?"

"We don't know. It could be from the Irish People, or it could be from the dead!" The Police Director was certainly no Useless Eater. He had uncovered far more in his investigation, but it was exactly because of this that he appeared even more nervous. "Are you sure you want to hear it?"

"Speak!" The two n exchanged a glance and ultimately chose to listen.

It wasn't that they didn't want to leave, but within the span of just one day, every single Legislator who had fled the city—without exception—had died!

Yes, these over one hundred Legislators were the very ones who had tried to escape early!

They also knew full well that the ordinary Populace who had slipped away were completely fine; so were even posting on TikTok from Hawaii!

Yet those Legislators who attempted to flee the city had, along with their entire Families, all been reduced to Corpses.

The implication behind this couldn't be clearer: those hidden Supernatural Monsters had absolutely no intention of letting them leave the city.

Just as Cuchulainn had declared yesterday, this was a curse—a curse from which no one could escape!

The reason the two n had co here was to find out whether these curses were indiscriminately killing people or if they were purely acts of revenge. If they couldn't figure this out, they would be sitting on pins and needles!

"We investigated the Families, backgrounds, and histories of these Legislators, and ultimately arrived at a hypothesis!" Director Oliver said softly. "This might be the curse of the deceased."

"The curse of the deceased?" the two n repeated, keeping their eyes on Oliver to hear his explanation.

"Take the emaciated Legislator, for instance. The autopsy results showed he starved to death. We checked his Family's history and discovered that during the Victorian era, his Family was involved in selling and distributing grain."

"As for the bloated Legislator, his autopsy revealed he drowned. His Family also rose to prominence during the Victorian era, and they built their fortune by salvaging Corpses from the Water."

Hearing this, Sunak was still sowhat bewildered, but King Charles had already reached an epiphany.

He, of course, knew exactly what the Victorian era entailed. For the King and the Nobles, it was a period of true glory for the British Empire. They battered the Qing dynasty in the east, suppressed the Aricas in the west, and occupied Africa in the south, enjoying imnse prestige across the entire globe.

That was the true era where "the sun never set."

But equally, in order to forge this sun-never-setting glory, the workers and farrs within their own borders were subjected to maniacal oppression.

These Nobles were the oppressors. Those selling and distributing grain had clearly lined their own pockets, leaving many unable to afford food and starving to death as a result.

And as for those violent thugs salvaging Corpses from the River Thas, one didn't even need to think too hard about it. In true English gentlemanly fashion, when there weren't enough bodies to go around, they surely took the initiative to find so "drowning victims."

The King fixed his gaze on the Director. "So you're saying... this is a group of vengeance seekers?"

"I'm afraid so, Your Majesty!" Oliver wiped away his sweat and said, "Because it isn't just them. Every single person who t their Death fits a pattern!"

"The descendants of Factory Owners died from exhaustion or sleep deprivation; the descendants of chimney sweeps died from soot asphyxiation; the descendants of pirates died from scurvy..."

The Fear in the Director's eyes couldn't possibly be faked. "This is retribution from those people! This is vengeance! These are the vengeance seekers of the Victorian era, delivering their final reprisal against Great Britain!"
