"Colleagues, do you think this Hundred Demon Night Parade is beneficial to us?"
After leaving the Pri Minister's residence, the High Officials gathered together, beginning to calculate their own Petty Sches.
As the saying goes, no parties outside the party is imperial thinking; no factions within the party leads to a myriad of oddities. Japan was still divided into the Ruling Party and the Opposition Party, making it perfectly normal for these individuals to harbor their own complex plans.
"Of course there are benefits! The Kyoto and Osaka regions have never really submitted to us, yet aren't they obediently coming to us for aid now?" soone said with a beaming smile. "In my view, an event like this is a massive stroke of good fortune!"
"Now that you ntion it, that really is the case! Is it because Tokyo is so vast and heavily populated that the monsters do not dare to co here? With crises breaking out everywhere else, won't our status beco even more secure?"
"That makes sense! It is still early. Why do we not go find so entertainnt?"
"Excellent idea, let us go! How about the usual spot? Adachi Ward..."
"Yes, yes, exactly there!"
The group walked away chatting and smiling, completely unaware of an inexplicable, foul aura beginning to manifest right above their heads.
This foul aura had originated in Kyoto, following a Kyoto High Official all the way here as he fled. Attracted by the sheer malice in this area, it attached itself to these n, following them toward their destination.
This foul aura was actually another creation designed by Bai Yang. If there were no malice in the vicinity, the aura would gradually dissipate and eventually vanish.
However, if malice was present, the aura would absorb it to grow. Ultimately, the scale of the resulting Monster would be determined by the sheer volu of that malice.
It was obvious that these n harbored plenty of malice, but the place they were heading held even more!
Over an hour later, at the Tokyo Prison in Adachi Ward.
This was the most desolate and quiet location in the entire district. In a country like Japan, which highly valued its living environnts and atmosphere, the vicinity of a prison was considered a major taboo, aning very few people lived around here.
This facility was also the most terrifying prison in all of Tokyo. Housing Death Row Inmates and Life Imprisonnt Inmates, it was a place of near-absolute, deathly silence.
For these High Officials who could freely enter and exit the Pri Minister's residence, this was naturally a perfectly exquisite playground.
Almost no one could ever leave this place, and even passing information to the outside was extrely difficult. Furthermore, due to the nature of Japanese society, the families of many Death Row Inmates and Life Imprisonnt Inmates completely severed ties with them.
Consequently, no matter what happened inside this prison, it was simply brushed off as ordinary.
This included the Corpses that were routinely sold off every so often, or the rumors among the locals about the agonized screams frequently echoing from within the walls. Naturally, these were not rumors, but grim reality!
The Legislator nad Koizumi Kiyohito and his Colleagues were frequent visitors here.
They acted like true Emperors here, holding the power of life and death over the Death Row Inmates. After all, the people inside could not escape, leaving them entirely at the rcy of whatever these officials wished to do!
Many Legislators loved coming here. This was a true lawless land. There were rumors that so people even organized unregulated, Bloody death matches inside. Regardless, Koizumi Kiyohito had never seen one, nor did he care.
What he cared about was sothing else entirely.
The group traveled along a secret path in heavily tinted Vehicles, arriving inside the prison. They calmly followed a guiding prison guard deep into the facility.
Eventually, Koizumi Kiyohito stopped outside a solitary confinent cell. He watched the guard unlock the heavy door and stepped inside.
"As is customary, you have one hour. I will be waiting outside when your ti is up!" the guard said with utmost respect before securely closing the door.
Only then did Koizumi Kiyohito turn his gaze into the room. Sitting inside was an Old Man of roughly the sa age, though he was in a notoriously wretched state.
He was hovering in a state of semi-consciousness, tightly bound to a sturdy chair, looking utterly exhausted and thoroughly worn down.
Koizumi Kiyohito marched straight over, grabbed a cup of water from a nearby shelf, and splashed it violently into the Old Man's face!
Splash! The freezing water struck the Old Man's face, making his body jerk violently before his eyes snapped open.
However, there were no pupils in those eyes—only dark, hollow sockets. It was a terrifying, grueso sight.
"Koizumi Kiyohito!" the Old Man roared furiously. "I knew you were not dead yet!" "Since you are still breathing, how could I possibly die?" Koizumi Kiyohito retorted with a chilling glare. "I am going to carve you into pieces, bit by bit, Miyakawa Seiichi!"
He violently tore away the cloth covering the man's lap, revealing necrotic thighs where fresh, raw flesh had already begun to heal. The Old Man had no lower legs at all; they had been brutally amputated long ago!
In the next second, Koizumi Kiyohito grabbed a bottle of sulfuric acid from the table and poured it directly onto the man's mutilated stumps!
"Argh!" the man nad Miyakawa Seiichi bellowed in absolute agony, fresh blood seeping from the corners of his mouth. "Old Dog Koizumi, I should have slaughtered your entire Family instead of leaving you alive!"
"And did you not want to?" Koizumi Kiyohito sneered viciously. "If my youngest son and I had not been abroad, we would have long beco Ghosts under your blade! Fortunately, I possess enough power to ensure your entire Family keeps you company in this hellhole!"
"My family? Hahahaha! You have the sheer audacity to speak of my family? My sister was your wife, and how exactly did you treat her? Hm? You drained our family's fortune, pushed our people to their deaths one by one, and yet you forbid from killing you?"
Miyakawa Seiichi roared, "You destroyed my family, so I swore to inflict a lifeti of agony upon you! You ungrateful wretch, just to marry the Speaker's daughter, you turned the entire Miyakawa family into corpses!"
"Only the dead can keep Secrets, but you no longer need to die..." Koizumi Kiyohito whispered. "I have the ans to keep you alive forever... This ti, let us see if it is better to take your ears, or perhaps sever your hands..."
"Koizumi Kiyohito, kill if you have the guts!" the Old Man bellowed from the Binding of his chair, yet he was completely helpless. He was nothing but at on a chopping block. So many years of imprisonnt had long since stripped him of any hope.
Feeling the excruciating physical pain, he only felt imnse regret for his own blindness. Back then, it was he who had introduced his sister to this man. Never could he have imagined that he was not bringing a powerful ally to accelerate the Miyakawa family's growth, but rather a ravenous Ghost that would devour his entire bloodline until nothing remained!
"If only I were given a chance... given a chance... I would send the entire Koizumi Family—no, every High Official in Tokyo—straight down to Hell!"
Miyakawa Seiichi gritted his teeth desperately, enduring the physical and psychological tornt, forcing his will to forge itself into sothing incredibly unyielding!
Even though he had lost his legs, his eyes, and his body was riddled with scars, he refused to surrender. Supre Hatred condensed within his heart, giving him the indomitable tenacity to cling to life despite nearing sixty years of age!
As long as he drew breath, there was hope. As long as he lived, he could claim his vengeance!
Right at that very mont, a distinct, unearthly voice abruptly echoed in his mind. "What perfectly pure Hatred! What overwhelmingly potent malice! Well then, are you willing to bow to as your Lord? I shall grant you the power to claim your vengeance!"
Hearing this voice, Miyakawa Seiichi imdiately roared out loud, "I am willing! As long as I can have my revenge, I will do absolutely anything!"
"Even if it ans abandoning your humanity to beco a Ghost?" the voice echoed once more.
"Even if it takes that, I am willing!" Miyakawa Seiichi howled loudly. Yet despite his ferocious roaring, Koizumi Kiyohito standing right beside him did not perceive even the slightest sound.
"Then you must rember your vow. Send every High Official in Tokyo straight to Hell! After all, High Officials truly do deserve to die!"
In the next second, Miyakawa Seiichi suddenly realized he could see Light once more. And when his eyes snapped open, the first thing he saw was Koizumi Kiyohito, whose face had twisted into absolute panic!
"A Monster... A Monster!" Koizumi Kiyohito was utterly stupefied. He watched helplessly as the Old Man before him, engulfed by a surge of black, foul aura, steadily morphed into a terrifying Monster!
The legs he had lost regenerated into the bruised, rotting feet of a walking corpse, and his eyes glowed a blinding, bloody red, as if fresh crimson gore was bursting from within them!
anwhile, his arms slowly transmuted into a pair of Ferocious, blade-like weapons, violently lunging directly toward Koizumi Kiyohito!
Panic-stricken, Koizumi Kiyohito frantically pounded against the solid door behind him, praying for it to open. But this was a sealed solitary chamber, deliberately constructed so he could torture his enemies in complete isolation. Now, it had beco his very own death knell!
At that mont, the previously arrogant and untouchable Legislator was rcilessly butchered beneath Miyakawa Seiichi's blades, reduced to nothing more than a mangled Corpse!
Naturally, the Old Man who had just transford into a Vengeful Ghost caught sight of his own Ferocious, Hungry Ghost-like reflection in the surrounding tallic surfaces. Startled and disoriented, he stamred, "What... what have you done to ?"
"Hahahaha!" A peel of laughter echoed right beside him. It ca from a devastatingly handso, yet wickedly demonic man. He gazed at Miyakawa Seiichi with a look of profound admiration. "What did I do? No, no, no, this was entirely your own choice! It was your imnse resentnt and undying obsession with death that summoned !"
"As of now, you are the Rashomon Demon. You are also the most resilient Soul I have encountered since my resurrection!"
Hearing this, Miyakawa Seiichi slowly ca to accept his new identity. He had already been half-dead anyway; becoming a Ghost did not seem like a big deal. "Then, who are you...?"
"?" the man replied with a light chuckle. "The people of this country generally refer to as—Shuten Doji!"
He stared toward a corner of the prison walls, acting as if his gaze could pierce straight through it to overlook the surrounding city and observe everything lurking within it. "So many powerful Souls... I truly want to devour them all..."
"Rashomon Demon, go forth and sweep away anyone who dares to block my path! Leave to devour those War Ghosts and achieve my perfect, ultimate form!"
