"I saw the existence of that evil spirit! I also saw Father Ken Burke's face!" Angus said loudly, "This is blasphemy! It dares to defile a bishop's body and kill people in the church! It killed monks, priests, nuns, deacons..."

"This is trampling on faith, an insult to the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit!"

Father Angus was already sowhat beside himself with rage.

He had originally been resting in his room, doing his daily prayers and praying to God with even greater piety.

He could now barely feel the warmth in his chest—that was the power granted by God, his main source of strength.

Angus, this devout believer, could feel that so special changes seed to be happening within him.

It was as if the divine power was gradually transferring to him.

This made him more resilient, but also more apprehensive. He was just a small-town priest, barely passing in theology and various skills, so why was he chosen?

He didn't know, and his prayers received no answer. What answered him were the screams and tearing sounds from outside!

Angus saw his imdiate superior, Ken Burke, the bishop of Garden Church in this diocese, but the other was clearly no longer human.

The backward-bent body, the almost bursting face—both indicated one thing: the other was currently being corrupted by an evil spirit!

If this had been the old Angus, he definitely wouldn't have been able to remain calm, but now he had so confidence.

So, he actively ca down from the restroom, holding the Gospel in his hand, wanting to save those who hadn't been killed yet.

But when he ca down from above, what he saw was this evil spirit dragging everyone's corpses down and arranging them in the chapel!

This scene was horrifying to the extre, such blasphemy was exaggerated enough to make people tremble!

That's why Angus was so beside himself with rage—this was simply a verdict against their faith, a kind of disdain and indifference!

God is rciful, but His rcy definitely doesn't include this kind!

Therefore, after Angus saw the police officers co in, without speaking, he directly opened the book in his hand and began reciting loudly!

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your na.

Your kingdom co, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

As soon as these words were spoken, white light actually erged from his body, and under everyone's astonished gazes, he slowly rose up!

Although he only rose about ten centiters, he was floating in the air like this, without any support!

This scene made many police officers kneel down, making cross signs with their hands, calling out "An!"

In this nation of faith, such a sight was enough to shock everyone!

In the secret room not far away, the high-level officials of California who had just gathered, after seeing this scene, felt their greed for "supernatural" and "eternal life" suddenly doused with cold water, chilling them to the bone!

They actually wanted to sche against a true ssenger of God?

What were they doing?

True supernatural power, even just its expression, was enough to intimidate certain interested parties!

Everyone beca solemn, not daring to make a sound, watching Angus's performance together with the remaining clergy and police officers in the church.

But the next second, footsteps slowly sounded, making everyone in the church alertly look up!

"You are the rciful Father, you are the complete Lord, you are the Lord of hosts!

The Lord of hosts will bless His believers, bestowing divine radiance when they sing triumphant songs!

May the Lord of hosts be with you!"

New prayer words appeared, but they didn't co from Father Angus—they ca from the main door ahead!

Then, they saw a man in black robes, wearing bishop's vestnts, striding in through the door!

His face was extrely pale, his body seed to have serious problems, but the prayers coming from his mouth were all orthodox!

An evil spirit, praying to God! This scene stunned everyone!

"Ken Burke?" Everyone exclaid in surprise as they saw his raised head!

However, this "bishop" glanced at the people around, then at the extrely hidden caras, a strange and terrifying smile crossing his face, "Everyone's here? Then... let's begin!"

"Bang!" With a huge sound, Deputy Chief Pierre turned and saw the door behind them close.

The next second, the remaining doors and windows also slamd shut under everyone's astonished gazes.

"Break the door!" Pierre said decisively. Although he didn't know what was happening, this kind of sealing looked very dangerous!

The police officers began ramming upon hearing this, but the wooden doors that usually didn't look very sturdy didn't even show basic movent under their impacts!

The police outside also noticed sothing wrong and began ramming the main door with a battering ram, but no matter how they hit it, the church remained unmoved.

Finally, soone shot at the door but didn't see bullet marks—only dull thuds sounded.

"Sir, the door won't break open! Even shooting it has no effect!"

Hearing this, Pierre's face turned ashen.

The next second, police officers inside the church also ca to report, "Sir, the entire church interior is sealed! All doors and windows are unresponsive!"

The entire chapel seed to have been locked shut in an instant—they were trapped inside!

At this mont, Pierre thought of many things, but ultimately brought the police officers to Father Angus's side.

Together with the clergy, they surrounded the priest, facing the bishop.

Since mysterious power had sealed the church, the only one with mysterious power was right here—everyone understood!

Behind them were caras, and behind the caras were the remaining police departnt mbers and California's various high-level officials in the secret room, all watching this scene.

The "bishop" certainly knew this, but he wasn't anxious at all. Instead, he slowly walked to the center of the chapel, the position where he most often stood—below the cross.

[The layout is roughly like this]

He alone confronted so many people, yet didn't show even a hint of tension!

Angus held the Gospel in his hand, facing the "bishop," and said loudly, "Evil spirit! You actually... you actually dare to do this! Aren't you afraid of the Lord bringing down divine punishnt?"

He was stunned—a possessing evil spirit reciting prayers to the Lord of hosts? What was this? Even a great demon from hell wouldn't dare do this!

The "bishop" happily sat on the white altar, smiling as he looked at everyone before him, "Others might not dare, but ..."

He gently stepped forward, coming right before Father Angus, carefully examining the light emanating from him, then circled back.

He did all this under the police officers' gun muzzles, but under his inexplicable presence, the officers didn't even have the courage to shoot!

The "bishop" strolled on the church steps, step by step returning to the platform, slowly saying, "Because of certain foolish believers' actions, I was actually summoned to this era! I must say, you Church fools are no different from those in the Middle Ages!"

The man paced on the platform as if experiencing the feeling of being "human," "After staying in hell for so long, the aura of the human world is truly nostalgic!"

Angus suddenly understood, "Demon! You're a demon from hell! Who summoned you? Which archdemon do you serve under!"

"Trying to trick my true na?" The "bishop" looked at him with a smile, "Righteous and rigid believers—indeed the type that Yahweh likes..."

Hearing him directly call "Yahweh," Angus's pupils contracted sharply, his voice suddenly becoming shocked and angry, "You actually... you actually dare..."

"Call His na directly? Hahahahaha!" The man sat on the platform, holding a black feather and waving it before them, "Aside from , few dare!"

"Tell your Lord, the Spirit of Arrogance sends his greetings!"
