He grabbed the blanket before walking towards her. His footsteps ca to a halt when he stood in front of her, the sight that he witnessed made his heart ache.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she sat on the couch, looking out of the window.
The blanket in his hand landed on the floor as he stood in front of her in two powerful steps. He cupped her face, "Hey, please stop crying."
"G-Get your hand off ," She swatted away his hand.
He took a seat beside her as he pinched her chin, "Stop crying first, I will do what you want. We will get a clean breakup if that's what your really want..." His voice softened.
Instead of stopping, she cried even louder, soft sobs escaping her mouth, "Y-You are a jerk!"
"Yes, I am a jerk. A jerk who is madly in love with you and a jerk who was going crazy over your absence in his life," He cupped her face, tilting it upwards as he pressed his forehead against hers.
"You.." She punched his chest, "Go sleep with your secretary. I am not going to care about anything. I-I.." Tears stread down her cheeks as she sobbed, "..I wouldn't h-have co here at all but I don't know what's wrong with Li. I don't even how is she doing now...."
"If that's what you are crying for, then let tell you that she is fine."
"Really?"
"Yes," he pressed a kiss on her forehead, "It's just who is not fine."
She glanced at his face, there were dark circles under his eyes....He looked different from the cheerful man she knew, "Why are you not fine? I thought you were having a good ti with your secretary," She pushed him away gently, turning her face to the side.
"My secretaries are all n," He mumbled, "I just said that out of anger to spike you."
Ying Yue stiffened, "You...don't need to tell . I don't mind even if they are not. Things...have ended between us. Let's keep it that way."
He wrapped his arms below her chest as he placed his forehead in the crook of her neck, "Let's stop this, Yue. Let's go back to how we were. Tell where I went wrong, I will change it. I will change myself for you. Don't leave , please?" He tilted his head to look at her only to find her crying once again. He peppered soft kisses all over her face, "Tears don't suit you at all. You look perfect while face slapping people."
She ended up laughing amidst crying, "Why are you so good to ?" She cupped his face as she leaned closer to him, her lips hovered near his.
"Because I love you."
"It's not your fault. It was never...your fault," She leaned her forehead against his, "I....don't want you to be disgusted of that's why I left..."
"I will never be disgusted of you. Try ," His eyes stared at her in determination as he pulled her onto his lap.
"I..." Ying Yue lowered her head, "I can't..."
He cupped her face, "Tell . Everything was fine between us, wasn't it? Why did you disappear suddenly?"
"That day....A few weeks before I left... I went to that nightclub to et one of my friends. I bumped into your friend...Jiang Shu and..Li Shen, my senior.. Trust I don't know what happened. I felt unwell and I...."
He kept quiet, letting her finish.
"When I woke up around midnight...I was naked and my body was sore all over..." She sobbed,'' There were a man's clothes on the other side of the bed.''
He stroked her back, "Shhhh...Stop crying."
"I tried to tell you but I was really upset with myself I didn't know how to face you."
He rembered that day very well. Over the next days, she started avoiding him.
He thought she was not feeling well because of the issues in her career and he didn't look deeper into it. Since she was talking about quitting entertainnt industry where she worked for so long, it might be disturbing for her. That's what he thought and she even stayed in a different room.
"I tried to confess everyday but the more you treated well, the more I felt guilty, ashad...I don't even know what went wrong."
''Infact, nothing like that happened. I investigated it yesterday after sister-in-law slapped so senses in my head,'' Mo Zihan sighed, ''Initially, I was too angry to think clearly about it.''
''What are you talking about?"
''You entered the wrong room and Jiang Shu saw it was Li Shen's room and she misunderstood both of you. I contacted Li Shen yesterday and he told that you vomited on your clothes and fainted in the room so he asked so female staff to clean up for you. Since you were sleeping, he left for so work and by the ti he was back, I had picked you up,'' He stroked her back, ''So, you are dumb about this. And I am even dumber than you,'' Even after knowing the truth, he was still angry at her because she did not trust him about their relationship.
He thought it was easy for her to disappear without a second thought. She could have talked to him but she didn't.
It was not until he saw her today that he realized how hollow he had been all this ti.
But, initially, it was his pent up frustration and anger that spoke to her. And when he saw her crying, he felt like an idiot all over again.
Ying Yue cried again.
''Hey, stop crying,'' He wiped her tears. It was the first ti in his life that he saw this woman crying like this. She never cried.
''You are crazy...''
''Alright, I am crazy. Stop crying now.''
''No,'' She sobbed harder, ''S-Soone must have duped you. How did I get pregnant if I didn't sleep with soone there?"
''You are right. Stop crying now...'' Mo Zihan froze.
Ying Yue blinked.
''You are what?"
''P-Pregnant,'' Her voice trembled.
His face lit up, ''Repeat it...''
''You...''
Mo Zihan pressed his forehead on hers as a soft smile made its way to his lips, ''I have seen the CCTV footage. Five minutes after you stepped inside the room, Li Shen walked out and didn't co back...'' It was a good thing that nothing really happened and even if it did, he knew Ying yue would never do it on purpose. But luckily no such accidents happened and there were no further complicated.
But regardless of anything, he would have loved her the sa.
''I didn't?" She blinked again.
''Yes, it's our child,'' He whispered realizing why this tough woman was bawling her eyes out. Pregnancy symptoms perhaps.
Ying Yue could not quite register it in her mind. All these days, she had assud that she really slept with soone and she drowned herself with endless guilt thinking that directly or indirectly, she ended up cheating on him...''We used protection,'' She finally mumbled in a small voice.
He pressed a kiss on her neck, ''There is still a chance...and we seed to have hit it,'' He teased her.
She blushed while he wiped her tears.
''Stop crying now. Sister-in-law is also pregnant. I forgot to tell you...''
Her eyes widened, ''For real?"
''Will I joke about it? Who tied you up like a dumpling?"
''Ah, it was Brother Yichen and your sister. They told that I should stop running away from you,'' She pouted, ''I am sorry. I should have discussed it with you. Then, things would not have cone to this and you would-''
''Shhh...'' He pressed a finger on her lips. When the door was locked and he found Ying Yue inside, he realized it must have been their plan. Motherhood, Fatherhood, Aunthood...All of those were just excuses along with the report thing, ''Let's not look into the past. I am happy that the misunderstanding didn't drag out for long,'' He kissed the tip of her nose.
''Mmm...'' She hugged him as she stroked her stomach with one hand, ''I love you, Zihan.''
''Rember the first ti we t when you crashed your car into mine?" His gaze softened as he glanced at the moon.
''Mmm..I had a crush at first sight.''
''The second ti when you fell on in sister-in-law's office. Rember that?"
She glanced at him as she nodded, ''Yes. You called a female pervert.''
He glanced at her a little shyly, ''Though I said that, I was quite attracted to you since the first day. Just the realization took a long ti. I love you too, Yue.
