Mark couldn't help but pat his chest. Tang Li was dressed in black silk pajamas and when she hovered above his head, her waist-length wave hair almost fell like a curtain around her face.

The mont he opened his eyes, he was t with the scene which gave him a fright.

"Mark Wilson, get it clear in your head that you look more of a zombie right now," Tang Li scoffed. Her horrible dream was enough of a turn-off for her yet this man had to call her a witch.

Mark sighed before caressing the area under his eyes. He was sure that there were heavy bags under his pretty eyes. Combing his fingers through his silvery hair, he dashed towards Tang Li before sitting next to her on the floor. He folded his legs and leaned back on the wall, "Of course I would look like a ghost. A 13-hour long flight sucked up." He murmured, sounding annoyed.

"Eh? 13-hour long? Where were you exactly?" Tang Li tried to put her long hair in a bun but every ti she set it, it'd shake a little before falling back.

"Princess, you are still bad at this," He held her face in one hand before turning her face to the side. He held her hair before twirling it around and setting it on a high bun. "Well, I was in Paris because of the upcoming NY fashion event. They invited as a special guest."

"You are boasting," Tang Li rolled her eyes as she tugged the bun, testing its stability but surely he had tied it so tight that it did not budge after her teasing and testing.

Mark held her hand, "I am not going to do it again for you," He childishly snorted.

Tang Li looked at his hands that were holding her wrists and found it a little too ironic.

Mark followed her gaze and furrowed his brows when he noticed what she was looking at. He quickly let go of her hands, "Kara, did I make you um.. uncomfortable?" The last ti when he confronted her about why she suddenly returned to Beijing, the truth left him baffled for the longest ti. He never imagined one of his roommates tried to molest and she misunderstood the man to be him.

They were best buddies and it still bothered him that how easy it was for them to miss out on each other for years because of a simple misunderstanding. What happened to her was even more horrible. He sowhat felt guilty for not knowing his roommate's intention towards Tang Li.

Maybe if he had known, then she would not have had to go through all that trauma.

What frustrated him even more that it left a psychological trauma within her. She would not be able to touch n so casually or else it would trigger her condition.

After leaving Beijing the last ti, he wanted to go back to et her many tis but then again, he stopped himself. He blad himself for whatever happened to her. Sowhere within his heart, he felt that if he had been a little cautious of that bastard, then he would never have dared to try things with her.

He lowered his gaze, "Let take you to the hospital, alright? What if your condition is triggered?"

Tang Li patted his shoulder, "What nonsense are you spouting? Why would my condition be triggered by you?" She calmly said, inwardly blaming herself for showing too many emotions these days.

It was all because of Mo Yuhan. That man had kept her on toes these days.

In fact, earlier when he touched her, she indeed found it ironic. Ironic because, for so many years, she thought it was the person she trusted so much at that ti who had betrayed her in the end. She thought he tried to take advantage of her by drugging her.

But after all these years, she got to know that that the real culprit was soone else.

Despite everything, when Mark touched her right now, she did not felt uncomfortable. Maybe in her subconscious, she still believed that he would not harm her.

"You are serious? That ans if your condition is not triggered by , doesn't that ans you trust blindly? I knew I had it in ," He smugly said.

She rolled her eyes, "Of course, my condition is triggered by n. And you, my dear.I see you as my girlfriends just like Ying Yue and Lin Shi."

Mark: "_" Girlfriend?

What a straight hit at a man's ego!

At the ntion of Ying Yue, he was reminded of sothing. Since she is pretty close to Tang Li, he wondered if he should tell her or not. But she already had a fair share of problems on her plate right now, so he decided against telling it to her for now.

"Why are you here anyway? Didn't you boast that you are invited as the special guest?" Tang Li ca back to the point. In fact, she already had an inkling of the whole situation but she could not co to a proper conclusion.

"It's just as you think. Your husband called and asked to co here and take care of you?"

Warmth filled her heart at this little gesture of that man but she was frustrated, "You didn't have to co all the way to here just because he asked you to," she softly said. She felt guilty looking at the dark circles under his eyes.

Mark snorted, "Don't you know your husband? Who would dare to go against that devil's orders?'' Actually, he would have still chosen to co here to look after her if the person who called was not Mo Yuhan. She mattered too much to her. But he would never admit to that or else the woman's narcissism might hike up to another level.

Tang Li's lips twitched as she fought back the urge to retort but in the end
