Tang Yichen, who was initially a bit puzzled understood the whole situation almost imdiately.
When he saw her struggling with the luggage in the airport, he just helped her with it. It was not sothing big though. He never imagined he would get himself a wife with that simple action of his. "What's the deal with the ancestral rings?" He asked sowhat curiously as he walked towards Mo Jia who blankly looked at him.
Grandma Mo smiled, having a grandson-in-law of her choice made her quite satisfied with everything, ''You rember the small exquisite box I gifted you with?''
Tang Yichen furrowed his brows, "AhYes, you told to open it later" At that ti, he did not want to take it but the old lady was adamant about giving it to him. To not let his work get delayed, he accepted the box but he did not even have the ti to open it later. After a few days, he forgot its existence.
Waitit was so important that they were forcing Mo Jia to get married for that small box? Then, why must she give it to a stranger? His inky black eyes narrowed coldly What if the man who got that box was not him and soone else? Would they have forced her to marry him?
He gripped Mo Jia's hand until she tried to struggle out of his grasp due to pain. "Tang Yichen, I don't want a fracture," Mo Jia softly whispered beside the man's ear when others were distracted in their discussion. She wondered if there was sothing wrong with him. What was he so absent-minded about? Here she was trying to get over the fact that the man she was desperately trying to escape from was none other than her husband and here he was, lost in his thoughts.
The man, sensing her struggle ca back to his senses as his grip on her wrist loosened and his thumb lightly stroked the back of her palm. 'In-lawsThey are your in-laws...You must not offend them' He murmured again and again like a chant in his head.
''What were you so shocked about?" Old Madam Mo asked as she nudged Old Master Mo slowly. She did not even want to look back at the man until she heard her husband's voice filled with shock. It made her curious which is why she turned around. Later, when she recognized the man, it made her forget about it but now that she thought about it, why would her husband be so shocked?
Su Yahui speechlessly glanced around. There was still so mystery to it?
Old Master Mo leaned back on the sofa, "Because I recognize him, he is Yichen"
The old lady scoffed, "As if I don't know his na, he is after all the CEO of Blue Star entertainnt.."
Mo Jia, who was silent up to this point imdiately understood what her grandfather ant. Why would he be shocked by the identity that is known to the whole world? Moreover, he called him 'Yichen' with such familiarity.. that ans he must have known his other identity
''No, what I an to say is that he is Tang Yichen.."
''Of course, he is. His full na is Tang Yichen,'' The old man was interrupted by his wife yet again.
He frowned, "Let at least finish what I was saying. He is Tang Yichen, the eldest grandson of Old man Tang and the elder brother of Tang Li."
Su Yahui, who was pretending like she did not exist sprang up from the sofa as she walked towards Tang Yichen, ''No wonderno wonder, I felt a deep connection with you. You happen to be my sweetie's brother," she exaggeratedly said stroking the man's hair. She was of course excited as she wondered if the descendants of the Tang family were ant to be her beloved.
"Yes, Mom," Tang Yichen flashed his dazzling smile imdiately capturing the heart of his mother-in-law. There was no hesitation in his tone as the word 'Mom' rolled out of his mouth. His imaginary foxtail swishing yet again as that handso face glowed with cunningness while his sleek tongue did the best job.
"Oh~ my boy," Su Yahui was on the verge of tears.
Mo Jia blankly glanced at the duo. For a split second, she felt like an outsider.
Su Yahui kept looking at Tang Yichen like he was so sort of exotic treasure. After facing cold and indifferent kids like the Mo siblings daily, she finally got two warm rays of sunshine in her life, one Tang Li while the other one was this man sitting in front of her, whom she got to know today.
"_" Sunshine?!
Tang Yichen glanced at Grandpa Mo, "Have we t before?" He had a good mory so of course, he was sure that he had never t with him. Then, how could he recognize him with a single glance?!
Grandpa Tang chuckled, "Of course not, but your grandfather is a close friend of mine," Though that old man is a stinky fox; he, of course, did not add the second part before he continued, "Maybe Xiao Li has never ntioned, but she knew very well even before marrying Yuhan. As for you, I have seen your pictures."
Nobody knew about the real identity of the CEO Tang of Blue Star Entertainnt but he was well aware of it. Moreover, Tang Yichen rarely stayed in the country before the major incident that happened, which is why they never got the chance to et.
Tang Yichen nodded. He was not surprised that his sister never ntioned it as they never got the leisure to sit like normal people and discuss life. So, how could they get the ti to gossip? Moreover, why would she even ntion sothing so unrelated?
On the other hand, Old Madam Mo, who was in complete shock ca back to her senses as she furrowed her brows, "That unruly woman is your sister?"
"Shut up," Old Master Mo tried to stop his wife in ti, he knew it would turn out to be a blunder if things continued this way. One thing was common in between his eldest grandson and grandson-in-law, that is, they won't take it lightly if anyone insulted Tang Li.
But the old lady didn't pay heed to her husband's warning as she went on with her ramblings, "That woman.. who knows what tricks she had resorted to that my eldest grandson is seduced by her. She is just like her mother who forgot about all the rules in society and ran away with a man."
Su Yahui tried to stop her mother-in-law as she pinched her hand. The old lady was so imrsed in her lecture that she did not notice it but the rest of the people in the room were not blind enough to not sense it.
They could see Tang Yichen's face darkening with every single word that he heard and his aura slowly transford into sothing dangerous.
Old Madam Mo did not care about anything at all. She shrugged off the woman's hand resting above her palm. Why hesitate in speaking the truth? A woman as characterless as Tang ili was a sha to the family or the society she was born in. What kind of daughter can a woman like her give birth to?
Disgust coursed through her face at the thought of it as she scoffed, "Huh... Tang Cheng used to be a proud man in university days, I wonder what was wrong with his upbringing that the won in his family turned out to be like this. As for Tang Li, she would never be accepted as the granddaughter-in-law of the Mo Family," She said as she leaned back on the sofa.
Even if Tang Yichen was the son of the sa woman, it didn't make her dislike him a bit. As they say, the first impression lasts long, and it was exactly like that.
The first ti she t Tang Li, she saw the spitting image of Tang ili in her, that exact face and that stubborn attitude that she once saw in that eighteen-year-old girl she t years ago. What made her further dislike Tang Li was the way she rebuked her words, having her grandson wrapped around her finger.
The first impression that Tang Yichen left on her was that of a kind, humble and nice man despite his status; if only she knew that he was a whole different story than what she expected him to be.
There was no change in Tang Yichen's expression like what the old lady said did not bother him at all but his inky blank eyes were oozing with murderous intent.
Mo Jia stroked the back of his hand trying to wake him up from his trance.
"Get out," Tang Yichen's voice was barely above a whisper so much so that it sounded sowhat eerie in the silence of the living room.
Old Madam Mo was stupefied, "What?" she looked at the man in utter disbelief.
