"Zihan and Jia fought with...grandma," Mo Yuhan uttered softly.
"But why?" Tang Li thought of their scrunched up faces when she ntioned their grandmother today. She was not that surprised that sothing like this had happened.
Mo Yuhan pulled her on his laps and buried his face in her neck as he said "Nothing happened to grandma. She was pretending all along."
"Because?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
He chuckled as his hot breathe touched her neck "How do you know there is a because?"
"Because I'm smart. Tell now."
"She wants Jia to go to a blind date," he replied.
"W..What? Sotis, I'm wondering if we are the one who will marry or they are. Jia must have rejected it. Given her stubborn personality, she won't give in to anyone."
He nodded "Grandma threatened to disown her."
"Both Jia and Zihan must have left the place in fit of anger. I can sohow understand from where they are coming. Nobody likes to be threatened. She could have just said what she wanted but she shouldn't have forced them. So, did you et your grandma?" she asked.
Mo Yuhan was not a bit surprised by her pace. He would speak one sentence and she will demonstrate it in details. The couple was always like that. They don't need to talk a lot for understanding each other.
"Mom asked not to. Grandma is ignoring everyone. Although she said those harsh words but she is feeling guilty now. At the sa ti, she is equally stubborn as Jia.
At this ti, Tang Li's phone started ringing. She glanced at the caller ID and answered it imdiately "Brother. Why are you calling this late?"
"Jia is with . Today...." Tang Yichen explained everything and asked "Tell , what made her sad?"
"We will be there right now," she replied.
"Huh? Don't bother. I just...coaxed her to sleep."
Tang Li grinned mischievously "Brother, when did you learn coaxing? How co you have never coaxed ?"
"Don't tell lies. I have coaxed you for countless tis."
Tang Li couldn't refute. True enough, her brother has coaxed her countless tis. Even when she was being unreasonable, he would still coax her. He loved her unconditionally. They never got the love of their parents but theur grandfather dearly doted on them. And when it ca to Tang Li, she was cherished by both her grandpa and brother. They treated her like treasure.
After hanging up, Tang Li described everything to Mo Yuhan whose face turned cold in an instant.
She hugged him tightly "Don't worry. It was a minor accident. Nothing happened to her. She is sleeping right now. We will go there tomorrow. Alright?"
He relaxed once he heard that Mo Jia is alright. Hugging her tightly, he nodded "En"
"Yes, don't visit the Mo family Villa for now to speak for her. Or else your grandma will think that you're supporting Jia and alienating her. If that happens, she will start ignoring you too."
Biting her earlobe, he kissed her cheek and caressed her waist "Such a smart wife. Shouldn't I hide you in my arms forever?"
"Umph...Stop...It's ticklish..Hehe..." Tang Li pouted.
Looking at her, Mo Yuhan suddenly thought of the adorable little girl wearing a cute white dress following him around. She would always sneak out of the house to et him.
'Brother Yuhan, here...I'll give you all my candies. Can't you smile a little bit?'
'Brother Yuhan, you are so smart and handso. You're my favorite.'
'Brother Yuhan, you always treat the best.'
'Lili, don't run around.'
'Catch if you can.'
Those hazy mories were always there in his heart. Now that he looked at Tang Li, he could see so glimpses of her past self. His naughty little Lili, who will blush at little things and would feel ticklish with a simple touch.
As he thought about it, he was sowhat horrified to see such a contrasting drastic change in her character. The cheerful little girl who can make one's day bright with just one smile of hers, has beca so cold and distant.
The girl who loved dressing in pink and white prefers black color now. What turned her life so dark? What has she gone through in these past years? But he dare not ask, he could not bear to see her sad. Whenever she is ready, she will tell him.
She snuggled closer to him as she stifled a yawn and mumbled "Good..night"
He hugged her tightly in his arms and kissed her head 'This ti, I will protect you Lili.'
...
The next day, the morning sun crawled up from the horizon shining all the way and drizzling everyone with warmth. The sprightly birds were chirping and singing.
Tang Li was currently sitting on the couch as she waited for her husband who was dressing up in the walk-in closet. Although, her conscience was pricking her for not peeking inside but no...She can't peek. She still rembered the the day before yesterday where she was taking initiatives. That wild night....uhhh...No, she will probably pounce on him if she peeks at him while he is changing. What if she is caught red-handed?
His tall body ca to her view. He was charming, dressed in a black shirt and clean white casual pants. Compared to usual, it had much less of a distant feeling compared to his noble, handso style. The first two buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned exposing his collarbones and a few linings of his muscular chest. The sun rays were striking his blue eyes and they glistened.
His earstud which was the symbol of royalty stating him as the current Master of Mo family seed to be shining. She just couldn't take her eyes off him. He was just damn sexy.
"How do you like it?" Mo Yuhan asked as he unhurriedly raised an eyebrow. His cold face softened when he saw her.
Snapping out of her trance, she replied "Uh-huh..I love it. Will you not go to work today?"
Deep inside her heart, she admitted that she was bewitched by this man. But on the outside, she could only find an excuse to change the topic.
Right now, they were going to her brother's place but will he not go to work after that? Since he was dressed in casuals, she had this doubt in her mind.
"No, I don't have much work," because he has completed three days' works in advance but the man did not ntion anything about it.
As he glanced at her black business attire, he furrowed his brows "Get changed."
"Why?"
"I rember soone saying that it was ti for her to et my family," he said nonchalantly.
