Jiang Xin was genuinely puzzled because, after all, yesterday’s events were already over. So why were these people still standing outside their courtyard, gossiping about sothing?

Jiang Xin truly couldn’t understand, so she grabbed a neighbor and asked a couple of questions:

"Auntie, what are you all talking about at my doorstep?"

"If I didn’t know better, I’d think sothing big happened. It looks quite scary."

Before the neighbors spoke, Jiang Xin was guessing in her heart that maybe those people who ca late yesterday missed the gossip and wanted to find out what happened after they left the police station.

So, one by one, they ca to the doorstep to watch the fun, all to catch so gossip.

Unexpectedly, when they saw her, every single one of them showed a gossiping expression. Once one auntie saw her returning, she got extrely excited, pulled her over, and shouted:

"Oh my, Jiang Xin, you’re back?"

"What have you been doing all day? You know your husband has returned from the sea, and your in-laws are all thrilled."

"It’s just that we’re all curious; we don’t know how much money Fu Yu made this ti from his trip."

"By the way, didn’t you say yesterday that once Fu Yu returns, you want a divorce? If he made a lot of money, would you still divorce him then?"

From the villagers’ chattering, Jiang Xin finally understood why they were gathered outside their courtyard. Turns out, it was because her good-for-nothing husband had co ho.

It genuinely left her dumbfounded.

She really didn’t know what to do next.

Jiang Xin had thought that when Fu Yu ca back, she would imdiately divorce him, but now if she did that, she really wouldn’t have a place to live.

In her heart, Jiang Xin began contemplating strategies, thinking about what she should do once she got inside.

If she were to divorce, at least she’d have to expose Jiang Wan’s true face first.

Otherwise, the more than fifty photos she had developed in the studio would have been for nothing.

So for now, she decided not to ntion the divorce and to take things one step at a ti.

Listening to the neighbors’ gossip — one comnt after another — Jiang Xin couldn’t help but chuckle.

She thought these people must be beyond bored to be gossiping here about how much soone else’s son has earned.

What does it have to do with them?

Jiang Xin really didn’t understand!

With the ti they spent envying others for making money, they could have been figuring out how to earn a bit more to help their own families, which would be more sensible.

Standing here, envying and being jealous won’t make money fly into their pockets. She even overheard so villagers inquiring about when she would divorce Fu Yu.

If Fu Yu divorced her, wouldn’t he just beco a golden bachelor again?

If they had a daughter around Fu Yu’s age, perhaps they might seize this opportunity to slip in.

So, while Mrs. Fu wasn’t exactly a model character, everyone knew what kind of temper Fu Yu had.

If he were to marry a good-natured wife, Mrs. Fu wouldn’t be able to bully her.

Besides, they couldn’t bear to see Fu Yu go. If Fu Yu could beco their son-in-law, their daughter’s future would certainly be worry-free in terms of food and clothing.

After all, within ten miles of this village, they couldn’t find another young man as outstanding as Fu Yu.

Even if Mrs. Fu was a difficult mother-in-law, if their daughter had a fiery temper, she wouldn’t suffer any bullying either.

Listening to the villagers’ gossip, Jiang Xin imdiately felt a repulsion in her chest. No matter what, even though she really wanted to divorce Fu Yu, she hadn’t yet, and these people dared to say such nasty things right to her face; it was truly disgusting.

Jiang Xin actually wanted to snap at these villagers, but in the end, she thought better of it. It wasn’t worth getting angry.

After all, it wouldn’t be long before she left this village. No need to argue with them at such a crucial mont and affect her mood.

So, after nodding to the auntie who had just asked her the question, she went back to the Fu Family courtyard.
