Viola and Emile were amazed by the depth of knowledge they had absorbed so far. Just as Aaron was about to begin the potion-making process, Emile paused and said, "Lord Aaron, before you continue teaching , I want to take a loyalty oath with you."
Aaron was stunned. "Is it necessary?"
Emile nodded seriously. "Yes, Lord Aaron. If I’m ever captured and interrogated, there are spells that are hard to resist. But if I’ve signed a loyalty oath, those spells might not work on ."
Aaron understood. If his identity or knowledge were exposed, he consequences could be unimaginable. "Okay then," he agreed.
Viola, watching quietly, felt a surge of admiration. Lord Aaron had effortlessly earned Emile’s loyalty. She also knew, once Emile took the oath, she would gain imnse profit from the knowledge.
The alchemy circle lit up, and Loa appeared once again.
Seeing Aaron, she was montarily stunned. She bowed deeply. "Greetings, Respected Great Wizard."
Emile took the oath, and Loa oversaw it with solemn grace. She gave Aaron a long, thoughtful look before vanishing back into her dinsion.
Aaron turned back to the others. "Okay, let’s continue. As I ntioned before, potion-making involves two stages. The first is the preparatory stage, where you inspect and prepare the ingredients."
"Of the four ingredients, only one needs preparation, Blue Berries. They’re ordinary, but they take longer to lt and dissolve. If we prepare them ahead of ti, we can solve that issue."
Viola and Emile were once again amazed.
Aaron continued, "To prepare Blue Berries, we need a beaker filled with water and test tubes. Place nine Blue Berries into a test tube, then heat the water in the beaker."
He moved the apparatus, turned on the burner, and began heating the water.
He held up a thermoter. "The water must reach 70°C. Once it does, turn off the burner and imrse the test tube, but don’t fully subrge it."
Aaron demonstrated the setup. Viola took notes and even sketched a diagram.
"We’ll keep it like this for five minutes," he said, setting a tir on a small wizarding clock.
Five minutes passed in silence.
Aaron removed the test tube. "Don’t pour out the contents. Just set it aside for now."
He turned to the conical flask. "Remove the cork and add three Blue Leaves along with dried Sweet Flowers."
"If you have fresh Sweet Flowers, add the Blue Leaves first, heat for two minutes, then add the flowers."
"But since we’re using dried ones, add them together. Heat for five minutes at 67°C. Make sure to asure the temperature at the base of the flask."
Five minutes later...
"As you can see, the Blue Leaves and Sweet Flowers are dissolving. Now, add the Blue Berries from the test tube."
Aaron poured the contents in.
"Put the cork back on, attach a clean test tube, and let the vapor pass through the glass tube. It will cool and settle in the test tube."
"This process takes about two minutes. The Blue Berries help speed up the reaction and add a slight taste."
Two minutes later...
Viola and Emile stared at the colorless liquid. They were speechless. Mana potions were supposed to be blue.
Aaron smiled. "The mana potion is almost ready."
"Now, add the Magic Dust. Cover the top of the test tube with your thumb, shake gently for a few seconds, then place it on the rack."
He demonstrated the final step, then placed the test tube on the rack. "The Basic Mana Recovery Potion is complete."
Viola and Emile stared at the potion in amazent. The liquid was crystal clear, without a trace of impurity. It was unmistakably a highest-grade Mana Recovery Potion, sothing neither of them had ever seen in any shop.
Aaron asked casually, "So, how much do you think this potion would sell for?"
Viola took a deep breath, then shook her head. "Lord Aaron, honestly... I have no idea. Even the highest-grade potions sold for ten mana stones still contain impurities. I’ve never seen one this pure. If you sell it, the Alchemist Association might even try to kidnap you."
Aaron blinked, surprised. "That serious, huh? Can you get a high-grade mana potion from the market? I’d like to study it."
Emile stepped forward. "Lord Aaron, I have one here."
She handed him a potion. Aaron examined it, took a small sip, and said, "Got it. It’s easy. Just increase the Magic Dust from 3 grams to 6 grams."
Viola and Emile were stunned. They had never seen anyone so confident, as if potion-making were second nature to him.
Aaron smiled. "Alright, let’s make mana potions and earn so money. How about you both help ? If we manage to earn 1,000 mana stones, I’ll reward each of you with 100 mana stones."
Both won responded with excitent, "Of course, Lord Aaron!"
Aaron nodded. "Emile, I need you to prepare nine more tables. Then start boiling water and prepping the Blue Berries."
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
Emile turned. "I’ll get it."
Monts later, she returned with Elisa.
Aaron looked up and said, "Elisa, you missed the class on making mana recovery potions. You can learn from your mother or Viola later. If anything’s unclear, feel free to ask ."
"For now, help your mother with the ingredient prep."
Then he turned to Viola. "Viola, your task is to set up the apparatus and prepare the Magic Dust, 5 grams per set. Use the scale to asure it precisely."
Viola nodded solemnly. "Understood, Lord Aaron. Don’t worry."
Elisa, however, stood frozen. She was stunned.
Just an hour ago, Lord Aaron had claid his wizard knowledge was elentary. Now he had not only crafted a perfect mana potion, but was also teaching alchemy like a seasoned master.
She had tried making one herself before, and failed. She hadn’t dared to waste more mana stones since.
Her thoughts swirled in confusion until her mother gently dragged her away to help.
