Lin Fan pointed his finger at himself and gave Fong a 'why ' face.
"Yeah, you. Most likely your team will die because of a useless fool like you," Fong said.

Lee Xiao threw his dried ration at Fong's face.
"Get out of here. My teammates shall prove you wrong," he shouted and shoved Fong out of the tent.
Fong wanted to draw out his sword, but he stopped when he saw Tai Lan getting up and lunging at him.
Fong knew Tai Lan was much more powerful than him, so he leaped out of the tent and ran away.
"Don't mind him.
"He had been mad at ever since I beca a cultivator, breaking free from his family's bond.
"To him, once a servant will always be a servant."
Lee Xiao shook his head and explained why Fong was so hostile towards him.
"I see. I shall try and let everyone stay alive when we start attacking the Dark Lotus Sect," Lin Fan nodded and shrugged his shoulders.
Lee Xiao wanted to roll his eyes at what Lin Fan had said.

After the small commotion, they went to sleep and rested for the night.
In the middle of the night, Lin Fan felt so movent at his feet.
He opened his eyes and saw rats swarming all around him.
"Wake up!" he shouted and nudged Ho Ming, who was beside him.
"What in the world..." Lee Xiao and Tai Lan also woke up and saw the rats that were all over in the tent.
Ho Ming drew out his swords and slashed at the rats.

The twirling wind sucked the rats in and ripped them into pieces.
However, there were too many of them, and so of the rats got onto them and bit at them.

But the others weren't so lucky.
Ho Ming used his sword to slice them off his legs as the rats took a bite at it.
Lee Xiao and Tai Lan were also busy trying to get rid of the rats on their bodies.
"Argh. Damn these rats. Where are they coming from?"
The surroundings were filled with cries from the disciples as they struggled to get rid of the rats.
Lin Fan had no choice but to get out of the tent.
He took a deep breath and then puffed out dark smoke from his mouth at their tent's surroundings.
When the rats ca into contact with the smoke, their skin and bodies were dissolved from the acid venom.
Slowly, a small mountain of rat bodies piled up as the rats got killed while trying to get through the dark poisonous smoke.
Soon, the rats stopped trying and headed for the other tents instead.
Lin Fan went back inside, and by now, the rats inside the tent were taken care of.
But things weren't going well as he saw Ho Ming's face pale as a sheet of paper.
Ho Ming had sat down in a lotus position and had a painful expression on his face.
"These rats are poisonous..." Ho Ming said as he tried to use his Qi to stop the poison from circulating through his ridians.
Lee Xiao and Tai Lan were in the sa situation.
Lin Fan quickly took out a bottle of the Glorious Poison Recovery Pill and gave each of them one.
They took the pill, and soon the painful expressions on their faces went away.

"I'm feeling better, but my Qi has been depleted from the poison," Ho Ming said as he took out so Blood and Qi Restoration pills and swallowed them.
Lin Fan frowned as this ant the whole encampnt area would be suffering the sa fate.
Lee Xiao could only look on as he saw Ho Ming popping those expensive pills like they were candy.
Tai Lan wasn't any better as he looked on with envy too.
"Stay here and take this," Lin Fan threw a bottle of Blood and Qi Restoration pills as he got out of the tent.
It was no longer useful for him anyway.
Lee Xiao caught the bottle in the air and looked at Lin Fan's figure as he disappeared out into the dark night.
He glanced over to Tai Lan and whispered, "Think we have to change our plans."
Tai Lan smiled, nodded and said, "Anything you say. You are the smart one after all."
Lee Xiao smiled to himself when he heard the words, smart one.
Maybe he was not.

When Lin Fan got out of the tent, it was chaos all over.
The low visibility made it tough to deal with the rats, and many succumbed to the rats' poison.
He slowly cleared a path with his poisonous smoke until he heard a clattering sound behind him.
Turning to his back quickly, he saw a man half as tall as him, looking at him.
The man had long hair covered all over his body, and his front tooth was long like a rat's.
A familiar sound erupted in Lin Fan's mind.

The rat man lunged at Lin Fan and tried to bite at his legs.
Lin Fan activated his Primordial Titan Bastion ability, and the rat man's front tooth was stopped by his tough skin.
He took out his hamrs and smashed down at the rat man.

Rats ca out of nowhere and covered the rat man.
It was like a mountain of rats, and the hamrs couldn't get to the rat man.
Flesh and blood of the rats splattered all over as the hamrs hit.

To his surprise, Lin Fan turned into a mist, and the rat man went through it.
When the rat man landed, Lin Fan appeared behind him and swiped his hamrs at him.
The rat man tried to summon his rats for protection but realized his Qi was disrupted.
Lin Fan's Phantom Step ability had caused his Qi to be imbalanced.
Unable to activate his Qi, Lin Fan's hamrs landed on his back.
