After the Fiery Fla Horned Demon Commander passed by, Lu Heng, through Shadow Vision, also saw the room where the Bansel Clan Holy Artifact was located.
Once the Commander Level Demon had walked a distance away, Lu Heng silently counted the remaining ti for "Shadow Traversal" and passed through the walls to enter that room.
The room where the Bansel Clan's Holy Artifact was stored was a completely sealed stone chamber.
Thus, no trace of light shone in from the outside; instead, the Holy Artifact of the Bansel Clan emitted a faint glimr, barely allowing one to see.
Lu Heng walked over and reached out to pick up the Bansel Clan Holy Artifact.
This Holy Artifact was a thirty-centiter-long iron mallet, thick at one end and pointed at the other, which could also be described as an iron spike or a large iron nail.
Upon touching the Holy Artifact, he saw its Attribute data.
[Bansel Clan Ancestor's Mallet]
[Item Level: A-Level]
[Specifications: Length 30 cm, Weight 5.2 kg]
[Attribute: Attack Power 60]
[Special Effect: Ancestor's Power]
[Ancestor's Power: Awakens the Ancestor's Power of the Bansel Clan, possessing the strength to break through all magical barriers, and pierce the bodies and hearts of Evil Gods.]
[Introduction: The iron mallet used by the ancestors of the Bansel Clan to kill the Evil God Barton, containing Divine Energy, and has the power to restrain Evil God Barton.]
The Ancestor's Mallet didn't look big, but it was surprisingly heavy in hand and was clearly not made of ordinary cast iron.
After obtaining the Bansel Clan's Holy Artifact, Lu Heng waited on the spot for his Source Material Energy to recover.
Activating "Shadow Traversal" consud Source Material Energy, and it would take about ten minutes to fully recharge.
If Lu Heng wanted to leave this stone chamber silently, he would have to wait for ten minutes and then use "Shadow Traversal" again to leave.
While waiting, Lu Heng took out an Abyss Salt Bomb and placed it inside the stone chamber.
This type of Abyss Salt Bomb, taken from the Iron Arm Leader, was the strongest Explosive that the Bansel Clan could make.
Besides hurling stones, the Bansel Clan's catapults would also launch such Abyss Salt Bombs.
When Lu Heng and the Iron Arm Leader discussed in the secret chamber, they had already decided to infiltrate Barton Temple to retrieve the Holy Artifact.
Since they were going to infiltrate Barton Temple anyway, planting a few bombs was just a matter of convenience.
Moreover, the signal for the attack agreed upon by Lu Heng and the Iron Arm Leader was the explosion of the salt bombs.
Ti ticked away second by second.
There were three minutes left until the Source Material Energy was fully restored.
Lu Heng took out the blueprint of Barton Temple, released a spark of thunder at his fingertips, and reconfird the positions of the internal structures.
Since this map was drawn by the Bansel Scout based on external observations, there were so discrepancies.
Lu Heng, comparing the map with the dungeon's structure, found the most suitable locations to plant the Abyss Salt Bombs.
The three minutes passed, and he triggered "Shadow Traversal" again.
In fifteen seconds, he traversed the entire dungeon, placing bombs in five key locations.
After finishing, he left a Shadow Clone in a concealed spot in the dungeon, and with the remaining three seconds of "Shadow Traversal," returned to the main hall, walked out of the shadows, and blended into the ranks of other Demons.
…
The Resurrection Ceremony was about to begin, and one by one, Abyss Creatures containing Source Essence were dragged into the Temple's main hall, their veins slit and pushed into the Blood Pool.
The Source Essence-rich blood flowed out from the Blood Pool, gathering below Barton's statue, following the lines on the ground, forming a blood Array.
Outside the Temple, dense crowds of Demons knelt devoutly on the ground, worshipfully praying and chanting the na of an entity in Demon Language.
…
At the sa ti.
The Bansel Clan's army arrived at the basin where Barton Temple was located, spread out several Bansel Mages to cast their magic together, unveiled a large Invisibility Veil, and approached within three hundred ters of the Temple to arrange their formation and install catapults.
This mont would have been an excellent opportunity for the Demons to launch a surprise attack.
However, at this very mont, a grand ceremony was taking place inside the Temple, and all the Demon Servants were worshipping, arrogantly ignoring the deploynt of the Bansel Tribe.
Purely in terms of numbers, the Demons greatly outnumbered the armies of the Bansel Tribe.
Moreover, with the Temple's protection, the Demon Servants were far more powerful than the Bansel Tribe.
Under normal circumstances, the Bansel Tribe could not defeat this powerful Demon legion.
The Bansel Tribe could only contend with the Demons by relying on the geographical advantage of Stone Hamr Castle for defense.
Taking the offensive, however, ant the two sides' powers were sowhat mismatched.
Therefore, gazing upon the staggering number of demons outside the temple, a dark, oppressive mass, the high-rank demons didn't even consider the Bansel people a threat.
Yet, when the demons gathered in such dense numbers, a fatal weakness erged.
Lu Heng watched the Source Material-infused blood that filled the entire temple hall, the air reeking of the pungent odor of fresh blood.
Once the blood array ford, the blood began to flow toward the tightly sealed door at the north side of the hall, burrowing into it through holes at the base of the door.
The door seed like a bloodthirsty monster, rapidly devouring the blood.
The demons accelerated their slaughter of Source Essence Sacrifices, providing a constant supply of blood that stread into the door.
As the blood pool was nearly drained, the blood array began to subli, and the door slowly creaked open.
Behind that door lay Evil God Barton's mausoleum, where all of the blood now converged into a Blood Feast Holy Grail.
The Winged Demon Commander Sagers stepped forward reverently, held up a shriveled, black heart from a Soul Box, and gently placed it into the Blood Feast Holy Grail.
The heart, as if parched for millennia, started to rapidly absorb the Source Material-rich blood upon contact, slowly floating out of the Holy Grail and generating a suction force that drew countless threads of blood, continuing to converge toward the heart.
Looking at this black heart gave one the eerie illusion that it might start beating at any second.
The Winged Demon Commander Sagers ordered his subordinates to retrieve the sacred relic of the Bansel Tribe from the dungeon.
This Ancestor's Mallet of the Bansel Clan, once the murder weapon that killed Evil God Barton, was now in play.
Now, the Demon Servants were reclaiming this weapon of death, to be used in the Resurrection Ceremony.
Demon Servants entered the passage on the right side of the hall, evidently going to retrieve the Bansel Clan's holy artifact.
However, this sacred relic was currently in Lu Heng's possession.
Therefore, the loss of the sacred relic would soon be exposed.
Leaving the temple at this mont would be a bit abrupt, but he could not delay any longer.
Lu Heng, standing at the very back of the demon ranks, scanned his surroundings before bowing his head, turning, and walking out of the temple.
The demons around him were devoutly kneeling as if blind to anything else.
Two Commander Level demons were busy overseeing this grand Resurrection Ceremony and had no ti to pay attention to a Winged Demon Wizard straying from the rank.
At the mont Lu Heng stepped out of the grand temple doorway, the ground suddenly shook beneath his feet, followed by a massive explosion.
Boom!
The Demon Servant who entered the dungeon opened the stone chamber where the sacred relic was supposed to be and ignited the Abyss Salt Bombs.
An explosion set off a chain reaction, and six Abyss Salt Bombs planted in the dungeon detonated one after another.
Boom! Boom! Boom...
In an instant,
Heaven and earth were torn asunder, the ground shook violently, the temple collapsed, and the earth sank.
Rocks flew in all directions, screams and roars fused into one.
In this mont, the art of explosions created its most magnificent display.
As if the entire world was collapsing, the demons let out cries of terror.
So were buried under rubble; others scattered in all directions.
However, the low-rank demons outside the temple continued their devout worship, their convictions unshaken even as the ground trembled beneath them.
The explosions comnced.
Inside the Bansel Clan's army, Iron Arm stood atop a siege engine, raising his warhamr and shouting, "Fire! Let these damned demons taste our offering!"
Thump! Thump! Thump...
Bansel warriors pulled back the cover on the siege engines, releasing a volley of Abyss Salt Bombs into the throngs of demons surrounding the temple.
Boom! Boom! Boom...
Low-rank demons within the blast radius imdiately disintegrated, while those further away were sent flying by the shockwave of the explosions.
Roar!
The Winged Demon Commander Sagers, enraged, burst from the dust cloud raised by the temple's collapse and flew out accompanied by a hundred elite Winged Demons, heading straight for the Bansel troop formation.
A great battle was about to erupt.
"Form ranks!" Iron Arm lifted his warhamr, striking it against the shield on his left arm, a ringing clang of tal announced their readiness, as he led the elite Bansel warriors into formation with shields raised, prepared to et the aerial assault.
