Thalys, upon hearing the news of his teacher’s remains, rushed back from the Four Winds Plains in a flurry.
He dashed into Orelana’s study, neglecting formalities, and asked, "Are the teacher’s remains truly within the seal of the Heath Mountains?"
In the study, Lu Heng, Orelana, Fiona, and other high-ranking mbers of the Elf Clan were discussing the next plan.
Orelana, upon seeing the teacher return, stood up to comfort him: "Don’t be too anxious. The current intelligence suggests that there is an elf’s remains within the seal beneath the Heath Mountains. It’s highly likely to be Commander Santos, but we cannot confirm the authenticity of the news yet."
Since the seal is located under Xiling City, which is built around the Moon Well in the Heath Mountains, there’s no way to confirm if the remains of the previous generation Elf Sword Saint, Santos, are inside the seal unless it’s opened.
Although confirmation is not possible, Thalys had already convinced himself: "There must be no mistake; Teacher Santos entered the Moon Well of the Heath Mountains to clear the Abyss Pollution Source and never returned. He must still be in there."
Now, upon receiving this news, a strong determination arose within him.
"I must retrieve the teacher’s remains and let him return to nature," Thalys expressed solemnly.
Everyone present sensed the firmness in his tone.
This was a student’s rembrance and respect for his ntor, sothing impossible to oppose.
However, opening the seal isn’t so easy.
It was a seal set by the previous Elf King Talnas and the Arcane Army. Unless the three statues of the Anti-Demon Alliance Commanders are retrieved to activate the seal, it’s difficult to open it.
Moreover, there’s an even bigger problem to face now.
The Moon Well in Xiling City was sealed because it was contaminated by the Abyss. After three hundred years, this Abyss Pollution Source likely hasn’t disappeared with ti and is probably still present.

The vine-woven Seren walked into the study, joining the discussion: "I’ve already learned of the situation. We all respect Commander Santos, but opening the seal now is too dangerous; even if we plan to open it, ticulous planning is needed."
Among the elves, only Seren’s status and position could challenge Thalys now.
Thalys, not rashly reckless, pondered for a mont and said, "I understand the crisis at hand and agree ticulous planning is necessary, but I still insist on opening the seal."
Seren followed up with, "Are you confident in handling the Abyss Pollution Source that might surge forth once the seal is opened?"
"This..." Thalys indeed lacked confidence.
In truth, Thalys excelled in swordsmanship, in direct confrontation with demons.
In terms of pollution purification, Seren was actually more proficient.
Seren posed another challenge: "If the Bone Sovereign appears after we open the seal and takes the remains of Commander Santos, what then?"
With a clenched right fist, Thalys declared with determination, "Even at the cost of my life, I will not let the teacher’s remains fall into the hands of an Evil God."
Seren responded, "Putting your life on the line ans... you actually aren’t confident, just driven by passion and courage."
Thalys found himself unable to refute.

With the Abyss invading the Queldorei Continent, pure Moon Wells have beco increasingly scarce, and the magic spring water available to elves has decreased, reducing the average magic level of the elves significantly.
Compared to the tis of the three commanders, the elves’ strength has greatly diminished.
So, when Seren posed this question, Thalys could only hang his head in silent contemplation.
Thalys is no longer at an impulsive, reckless age; he has witnessed the three-century transformation of the elves, growing from an elf knight who lost his teacher and holand into an Elf Sword Saint now bearing the fate of the entire elf civilization.
After calmly thinking, he asked, "So, are you all against opening the seal?"
The high-ranking elves present fell silent; silence didn’t necessarily an opposition but rather a lack of certainty, unable to make a decision for the mont.
Thalys sighed, although he harbored this determination in his heart, rationality reminded him that doing so was indeed dangerous and could possibly doom the elven roots.
Hearing his barely audible sigh, Lu Heng considered for a mont and asked, "May I share my thoughts?"
After all, this matter concerned the elf clan’s fate, and as a summons, Lu Heng’s human positioning couldn’t allow him to decide for them.
Orelana nodded and replied, "Of course, please go ahead."
Lu Heng walked up to the sand table, gazed at the Heath Mountain Range and Xiling City above it, and began saying:
