Abyss Descent Day 3.

All Superpower Users summoned to the Abyss Battlefield saw the countdown on their data panels change to 5 days.

Others might not know what this countdown ant, but Lu Heng was acutely aware that it signaled an impending, potentially fatal journey into the Abyss.

Thus, Lu Heng focused on practicing the Step Sword Seven Styles to boost his Combat Power as much as possible in preparation for the approaching Abyss Battlefield.

He trained until the evening, significantly improving his Sword Technique Proficiency, feeling hungry enough that his stomach growled. He then went downstairs to eat.

School cafeteria, first floor.

Su Muyu got her al ready and stood hesitantly in front of the cafeteria window, debating whether to use the ticket for a lotus root pork rib soup.

She really liked lotus root soup, but it was a bit expensive for her.

As she was hesitating, the troublemaker appeared again.

Lu Heng walked up beside her, tilted his head to look at her, and asked, "Where's my al ticket? Did you pick it up?"

"Ah?"

Su Muyu was startled yet again, but, being too shy, she quickly took out the small ticket for the lotus root soup and handed it over.

Lu Heng gave a big grin, took the ticket, and went to the window to buy the lotus root pork rib soup.

Su Muyu felt aggrieved, pursed her lips, found an empty seat, and sat down to eat quietly.

After only a few bites, the troublemaker sat opposite her, picked up the lotus root pork rib soup, and placed it in front of her.

Having been teased for two consecutive days, Su Muyu felt deeply wronged. Holding back tears, she asked, "What exactly do you want?"

"It's just soup, don't overthink it," Lu Heng quickly explained.

"I can't just accept things from others for no reason," Su Muyu was firm on this.

"This was bought with your money, if you won't drink it I'll just pour it out," Lu Heng picked up the soup bowl, pretending to tip it.

"Don't…" Su Muyu, thinking about the 10 yuan she had spent, felt reluctant to waste it.

"If you feel embarrassed, lend your last sester's Chinese notes. I need to catch up on Chinese since I didn't take notes before," Lu Heng made up an excuse.

With skepticism, Su Muyu took her Chinese notebook from her bag and hesitantly handed it to Lu Heng.

Lu Heng took it, placed it on the table, and began to eat.

...

In the following days, aside from practicing, Lu Heng made it a point to appear at al tis, sitting across from Su Muyu to eat and occasionally ordering a soup or a at dish for her.

After several als together, they beca more acquainted.

Su Muyu felt rather embarrassed and offered to help Lu Heng with tutoring.

Lu Heng waved it off, "No need for tutoring. Help with sothing else."

"What is it?" Su Muyu looked puzzled.

Lu Heng took out his phone, displayed a series of numbers, and said, "morize this number."

Su Muyu, who had a good mory, repeated it twice in her mind and nodded, "Got it."

Lu Heng said earnestly, "If anyone bullies you or if you're in danger, call this number."

"Ah?"

Su Muyu was taken aback once more, then realized that this number was Lu Heng's personal mobile.

...

Friday afternoon, during physical education class.

Su Muyu didn't like gym class because when she ran, two parts of her body shook intensely, attracting strange looks from her classmates.

Embarrassed to ask for a leave, she endured as long as she could.

As Su Muyu ran with her classmates around the track, under the shade of roadside trees, soone was watching her.

A group of students, drinking beer and enjoying the breeze, whistled at the girls running on the track.

Among them, Gong Chusheng's gaze was fixed on Su Muyu.

A makeup-clad girl dressed like a punk angrily questioned, "Like what you see?"

Gong Chusheng didn't even glance at her, responding indifferently, "Yes, very pretty."

"You want to die, Gong Chusheng?" The girl grew angrier.

"Keep your temper in check, or one day I'll throw you into East Lake to feed the fish," Gong Chusheng turned his gaze away and took a sip of beer.

...

Evening.

After night self-study.

Su Muyu walked out of the school gate with her bag, heading to buy stationery.

At the street corner, soone blocked her path.

She quickly glanced at the person, recognized him as Gong Chusheng, and imdiately took a step back, looking down, trying to bypass him.

Gong Chusheng stretched out his hand to stop her, pointed to a sedan parked roadside, and said, "Get in."

Su Muyu quickly shook her head and turned to head back to school.

Gong Chusheng lit a cigarette, took a drag, and said leisurely, "Doesn't your mom work at the garnt factory? I could have her fired with just one word."

Concerned, Su Muyu turned back and nervously asked, "What do you want?"

Gong Chusheng opened the car door, had his followers grab her bag, and dragged her into the car.

...

Lu Heng rembered that during the start of the school year was when Su Muyu had an incident.

So these days, he was either monitoring Gong Chusheng or following Su Muyu.

However, worried she might mistake him for a creepy stalker, he kept a respectful distance when following her.

Seeing Su Muyu being dragged into the car, Lu Heng hurried over, but he was too late; the car had already started and was speeding towards the West Suburb.

Lu Heng hurried back to the motel, got on his motorcycle, and chased after them towards the West Suburb.

At that mont,

his phone rang.

Lu Heng, riding a bike with one hand, answered the phone with the other. He could vaguely hear Su Muyu's voice:

"I'm not going, let out of the car."

Lu Heng sped towards the mory of that abandoned factory at full throttle.

Before he could stop the bike, he heard a girl's shout coming from the building:

"What are you doing? Don't co any closer! Go away! Go away!"

Then, Gong Chusheng's voice followed, "Ke Xiaoyu, take out your phone and make sure the video is clear."

The fourth mber, Ke Xiaoyu, took out his phone and started recording while licking his lips, asking, "Master Gong, can we... hehe..."

Su Muyu did not dare to think about what they were going to do, tears rolling down her face in large drops.

She had backed up to the edge of the rooftop with nowhere else to retreat.

Turning her head to see the height of the building below, a fear of heights surged within her. But as Gong Chusheng and his group approached, a resolute determination grew in her heart, she closed her eyes, turned around, and leaped from the fourth floor.

When Lu Heng arrived downstairs, he saw Su Muyu jumping and hurriedly reached out to catch her.

The mont he caught her, the impact forced him down, hitting the ground hard and letting out a muffled grunt.

Hu hu hu...

Su Muyu, still terrified, was panting heavily. She had jumped expecting to die, but the fall to the ground wasn't as painful as she imagined.

Opening her eyes, she saw Lu Heng and imdiately started crying again.

Lu Heng, who had been knocked to the ground but wasn't hurt, took a mont to recover and then pulled her up, softly reassuring her, "It's okay now."

At the sa ti.

On the abandoned building.

Gong Chusheng and his group peered down.

Initially, they were worried about the trouble if she had died from the fall, but seeing there was a cushion, they smirked:

"There's even a hero saving a beauty, tonight's ga is really exciting."

Gong Chusheng and his group, each holding a baseball bat, descended the stairs and surrounded Lu Heng and Su Muyu.

Among them, Gong Chusheng had the most influential family background, making him the leader of the group.

The second in command, Tang Guizhe, wore gold-rim glasses and looked scholarly.

The third mber, Li Xiongwei, was muscular and the strongest of the four, primarily responsible for fighting.

The fourth mber was Ke Xiaoyu—who had been filming with his phone—he had the least influence within the group.

Seeing the four approaching, Su Muyu hid behind Lu Heng in terror, clutching his clothes tightly.

Lu Heng moved his neck and limbs to make sure his joints were not hurt from catching her.

Recognizing Lu Hen as soone from a neighboring class, Gong Chusheng scoffed, "What, ca over wanting a piece of the action? Unfortunately, you only get to watch."

Lu Heng looked back at Su Muyu and pointed towards the factory gates, "Head over there first."

Hesitant, Su Muyu took a while before she stepped away.

Gong Chusheng's group did not stop her, knowing she couldn't escape without a car.

Su Muyu stopped by a large tree at the street corner, clutching her skirt nervously as she watched the standoff.

Without Su Muyu slowing him down, Lu Heng felt more relaxed. Brushing the dirt off his clothes, he said, "Let's begin."

Other than Gong Chusheng signaling with a glance, indicating his three n to act.

The strongest, Li Xiongwei took the lead, along with Tang Guizhe and Ke Xiaoyu, swinging baseball bats at Lu Heng's head.

Lu Heng stepped back to dodge, then with one punch each, "bang bang bang," he knocked the three n to the ground.

The three on the ground clutched their bleeding noses, howling.

Gong Chusheng froze, quickly realizing that Lu Heng could fight, and switched to a smile, saying, "Turns out you're a good fighter, follow , and you'll get whatever you want."

Lu Heng looked at him coldly and mocked, "I want your head, so chop it off."

Gong Chusheng's expression chilled, "I gave you a chance. Do you know who my dad is? Don't be ungrateful."

Lu Heng walked back to his motorbike, pulled out the Han Sword, and scoffed, "If your dad dares stand in front of , I'll chop him up too."

"What are you going to do?"

Gong Chusheng, seeing Lu Heng really pull out a ter-long sword, started to feel scared and ordered the other three as he retreated, "Quick! Block him!"

Li Xiongwei, muscular yet not very bright, actually tried to obstruct Lu Heng.

Lu Heng moved swiftly, blood splattered as a severed head rolled on the ground.

Now, the remaining three finally realized Lu Heng wasn't joking and really would kill, screaming in terror, "Fuck! Have you gone mad?"

Lu Heng swiftly cut down the other two crawling on the ground, then walked towards Gong Chusheng.

Gong Chusheng, used to relying on his family's influence to do whatever he wanted, had never seen soone as ruthless as Lu Heng.

He kept retreating while negotiating, "I'll give you money, as much as you want."

"I don't want money, just your head," Lu Heng pressed forward step by step.

Gong Chusheng retreated nonstop, not using any special abilities.

Lu Heng didn't rush to kill him with one stroke, intending to force him to use his ability.

Before his rebirth, Gong Chusheng had acquired a very powerful, rare skill. It seed he hadn't obtained that skill yet.

Originally, Lu Heng wanted to get that Skill Crystal Core through him. It looked like he needed another plan.

A fierce gleam in his eyes, Lu Heng strode forward, preparing to end him with one stroke.

Gong Chusheng, in a panic, turned to run into another abandoned building, frantically trying to make a call for help on his phone.

Just then.

He ran head-on into a shadow.

The shadow extended sharp claws, piercing his abdon, lifting him off the ground.

Lu Heng saw this dark figure, his eyes narrowing as he recognized what it was.

It was indeed a Shadow Demon. At night, it could hide in shadows, its claws sharp enough to pierce through steel.

And this type of Shadow Demon had a chance of dropping that rare skill.
