Chapter 268: The source of the Video

The man’s na was Kang Min Ho.

In the Korean entertainnt circle, Kang Min Ho was not respected, but he was known. He was the type of journalist people whispered about, not because of integrity or talent, but because of how far he was willing to go for attention. Paparazzi, scandal chaser, hype rchant those labels followed him everywhere.

Recently, one na had been circulating all around the internet and had beco a hot topic.

Dayo.

The director’s rise, his influence, the scale of his current production in Korea everything about him had beco valuable. Information related to him was selling fast, and selling high. Kang Min Ho noticed it early.

And soone was buying at a high price.

He followed the trends. He watched the online chatter. He listened to industry gossip, so he knew that Dayo and the top five agencies weren’t on good terms. He believed they might be the ones buying any news related to Dayo. And when he learned that Dayo’s film was shooting scenes involving a train station, his interest sharpened.

Luck, as Min Ho liked to call it, smiled on him.

His younger brother worked security at a secondary section of the train station, one of the locations temporarily leased for filming. It didn’t take much persuasion. A favor here, so money there. Min Ho was sneaked in during filming hours, cara hidden, movents cautious.

He didn’t care about the movie.

He cared about monts.

Monts that could be twisted.

Monts that could be sold. He hoped for anything at all. Maybe Dayo leaned too close to a female actress or did sothing that felt off. That was what he was waiting for.

For hours, he recorded quietly. Actors rehearsing. Crew moving equipnt. Dayo giving calm, precise instructions. Nothing useful. Nothing damaging. Min Ho was starting to think the trip had been a waste.

Then it happened.

A scene involving Dae Seok. He watched as Dae Seok was running by the side of the train and was about to jump inside when a misstep happened.

Dae Seok fell.

Min Ho’s cara caught everything the confusion, the sudden stop in filming, the rush of people toward the actor. He zood in instinctively.

What he recorded next was clear.

Dayo moved imdiately. He knelt beside Dae Seok, spoke calmly, checked his arm, signaled for filming to stop. There was no shouting or anger at all, just Dayo’s concern about his actor.

Min Ho kept recording until security noticed him.

"Hey, you. What are you doing here? This is a restricted area."

Hearing the shout, the heavy Min Ho took to his heels faster than he should have. After all, he knew if he was caught, his hours of waiting would be deleted.

So he managed to escape.

Upon reaching a safe site, he called the number of the person who wanted to buy the information he had.

"Hello, this is Kang Min Ho. I have sothing that might interest you."

The other side stayed silent for a while before speaking. "And who and what would that information be about?"

Min Ho smirked. "It’s about Dayo, the director of the project Train to Busan."

The breathing of the other person changed slightly, and the person asked, "Are you trying to play ?"

"Hehe, not at all. I am sure you have heard of my na, Kang Min Ho," Min Ho said with a wide smile. He knew that in the industry, he had a reputation.

The person on the other line went quiet for a while, seemingly wanting to confirm the information, then spoke.

"Hmm. Fine. I will give you a chance. And if you ss up, don’t bla

for not giving you another."

The eting place was easy to miss if you didn’t know it existed.

It sat behind a closed café that had already shut down for the night, a narrow lounge area used mostly by delivery drivers who wanted sowhere quiet to sit for a few minutes before heading back out. The lights were dim but not dark, warm enough to feel casual, distant enough to discourage attention. No music played. No one lingered longer than necessary.

Kang Min Ho arrived first.

He chose a seat close to the wall, back straight, hands resting on his thighs, eyes moving every few seconds toward the entrance. He had dressed plainly, deliberately so. Nothing that scread press, nothing that suggested status. To people like him, blending in was a survival skill.

He checked his phone again, even though he already knew the footage was there.

This ti, it was different.

Normally, he would have felt excitent, maybe even pride. He had sothing exclusive. Sothing no one else had.

Tonight, it felt heavier.

The man arrived without him even knowing.

Min Ho didn’t hear footsteps. He didn’t hear a chair scrape. He only noticed him when the opposite seat shifted slightly and soone sat down as if they had always been there. By his side was another person dressed completely in black, soone who carried an air of danger without even doing much.

The man smiled.

"You said you had materials," the person said casually, as if they were discussing a forgotten errand.

Min Ho nodded quickly. "Yes. Sothing exclusive. Sothing that hasn’t been released anywhere."

The man leaned back slightly, crossing one leg over the other. His posture was relaxed, almost bored, but his eyes never left Min Ho’s face.

"Show ."

Min Ho hesitated for half a second, then unlocked his phone and slid it across the table.

The video played.

It showed the mont after the accident on set. The injured actor on the ground, the confusion around him, and Dayo moving in without hesitation. He knelt, checked the injury, spoke calmly, and stopped filming imdiately. There was no shouting, just Dayo showing care.

The contrast was unmistakable.

Min Ho watched the man’s face carefully, expecting a flicker of irritation, concern, anything. Instead, the man watched quietly until the video ended, then pushed the phone back across the table.

"This is useless," he said.

Min Ho blinked. "What?"

"It doesn’t help," the man continued evenly. "You can’t damage anyone with this."

Min Ho frowned, confused now. "But this proves—"

"Are you dumb, or are you trying to play with my intelligence?" he said. In contrast to his calm voice, there was a lace of danger mixed with annoyance.

At that point, Min Ho knew he had ssed up. The person here wanted incriminating footage, not sothing good or positive about Dayo.

He tried to say sothing, but the words got stuck in his throat as he was about to speak.
